Go non Gt as I am selling my leather electric and heated seats as well as cruise control steering wheel and matching gear So what you saying here - is cruise control a function on non-gt - models i.e. can it be enabled easily with the right equipment (steering wheel etc)?! How much you selling the seats for and are they interchangeable - you would need to plumb them into the electrics and add the buttons onto the console? Erm... Im selling seats and steering wheel and gear knob, I have no idea to anything else they are electric in my car and cruise control, it can do anything you want it too, the seats are magical and make dreams come true, Its worked several times for me, I wished for Bride seats and they are on delivery How much for your seats? (not wanting to tread on martinmac's feet here)

I went Garmin. Besides, I like having it placed on windscreen right beside the rear view mirror on the left - I need to spend some time routing the charger cable up the pillar posts and between the ceiling fascia (im sure there is a proper name for this ).

Hi all, Im thinking of getting another Z, and am weighing up pros and cons of GT pack/Satnav or non-gt and the whole value for money argument. I understand that satnav is a plus when reselling, so should I go satnav? Apart from cost (requiring GT pack), I hear that Birdview has not got postcode function. In your view is this a major hindrance, and what do you think of the system in general? I am really liking the idea of going non-gt and ge seats upholstered in leather and replacing head unit and speakers, but I need to look at all options Thanks Graham

Thats what im on about - you can only drive a deal on what you know, and what I know is for instance if my car is traded in for 21k, and it can be sold for 24k with no work required on it then they will make 3k which I can drive a deal on when it come to a new car. Saying that if you dont have a part exchange you get a better deal is implying that you get less of a deal with a trade-in, which is misleading and goes against the logic which I have just explained above But each to their own - some people have different experiences, or they just have not used a trade-in option as an effective bargaining tool in their negotiations

It's an Alpina IDA x001 H/U so I think it does - they only cost a couple of quid so I might buy it rather than finding out I do need one when im installing! Thanks Ian for advice - much appreciated

Yup thats the one for the steering controls, I didnt bother with it though So lets pull this all together - I will need: 1) Head unit (drrrr!) 2) PAC ROEM for amp/head unit 3) PAC SWI-ALP 4) Ipod full speed connector cable 5) KCE-300BT Bluetooth unit 6) KCA-420i interface adapter 7) Single DIN fascia 8) Micra speaker wire loom 9) Aerial adapter Is that it!? Do I need a wiring harness also or is that the Micra loom? Thanks for your comments Ian

There is a 2nd hand BMW 335i I really like that is for sale at me local stealers for £31995. I really like it as it has all the toys. THe best they are prepared to do is £30000 with 21k trade in on the Nissan but I had a figure of £29000 in mind, it's been there since beginning of December and I know they are going to be gagging to get rid of it soon - they have even taken it out of the showroom and stuck it outside on the front forcourt by the main road. Hi, Why do you need a (Nissan) Micra 4 speaker harness? Where would I get an aerial adaptor? Ah - Halfords do the aerial adapter! Do you see any major problems such as grey area imports (warranty) if I purchased through USA? Thanks The harness is for the speakers (they are the same as in the micra) not sure about the warranty though So what is the order of fitment? Take old unit out Get Nissan cable loom and facia from here for example(http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/index.php?cPath=2117) Get PAC ROEM (http://www.shipsound.com/product_info.p ... d150d4874c) Does Nissan cable loom feed into Pac Roem? and then speaker cables fit into pac roem? Dos this mean I still need Micra cable loom? Sorry for all questions - want to get al the bits ordered! G

Ive had a growing number of problems with my current stealer - all based on customer service. Ive bought two cars from them and expressed an interest in the GT-R with them as well. I am also in the market for another Z from 'em as well, but it seemed like I was the salesperson and they were the customer, what with all the chasing up calls I make to them! So, I said enough is enough and voted with my feet and gone to another stealer - their lack of attentiveness has cost them possibly 80k in known future sales from me.

Yeah they do - you just got to drive the deal and be prepared to walk away if 1) they dont give you the deal you know you should expect from any reasonable stealer, and dont treat you with respect or give good customer service. There is always another stealer down the road - play them off against each other - the least they can BOTH say is no. Remember also that if finance is involved then that is another way to drive down the cost of the car, as they will be making money from you that way as well.

Not being rude but how did you work that out - someone explain this to me!? I expect a massively good deal if im trading in my Z for 21k when they can re-sell for a minimum of 23k I would expect normal discount plus a bit extra discount because they are making on my trade-in!

I had a 24 hour test drive with one of those bad boys - true the power is there and yes it is delivered in linear fashion but could you live with no back end out fun?! Also the cockpit is very narrow and cramped as is the seats. If it were not for the latter I would have had one! + put something a bit more substantial as far as tire size is concerned on front or just replace with non-run flats to stop the understeer which'll perhaps coax the rear out for the remap!

err.....was this before THAT test drive you had in a ZED or after and word had got around? Z4M is a crap car anyway for the money, why bother wanting to test it? ......My friendly opinion only but I liked the Z4M Coupe - but did not like the hard ride - which is good cos i got the Z in the end!
