  3. Thanks guys for all your support for me & my tamil tigers bros livin it large makin my bollywood films, Il send you guys the invites for the premier. On a more serious note I have been busy on the other side of the camera making a documentary for Channel 4 about Cage Rage & Bodybuilding & how its popularity has grown in the UK lately. For the first segment Jay (Zedrush) was kind enough to let me follow him around for the day & interview him candidly about his bodybuilding experiences & aspirations. This is a short snipet of him in action using his stage name/charachter Giulia Divina: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=dTjD57W6tSE
  4. Cheers Steve, great vids! Especially last one with Elise on slow sighting lap with cones. Need a bit of practice on TOCA 2 on Playstation!!! ps If you or any others are interested its on NOV 20th at Brands Hatch, full day for £130 to £150 depending on numbers. (105 db limit). Let me know http://bbs.scoobynet.com/southern-england-22/711628-brands-hatch-track-day.html
  5. Thanx chaps Steve your right Im already scared of gravel traps & grass & saw that post on MLR last month about that black evo!!!! Steve how would you compare Brands Hatch to Donnington & apart from Paddock are there any other bits to watch out for!!!!
  6. Some pics of mainly Evos/Skylines & Scoobies from my trackday a few weeks ago at the Silverstone South Circuit. Organised by MLR, GTR owners; SIDC with approx 70 cars attending for a full day, with a couple of E46 M3's, 1 E30 M3, & couple of GT3 RS's, track specials & an F430 also thrown in for an interesting mix! I have done a full write up about the day & thoughts on my Spec C's first track outing, but wont bore you lot with non Zed ramblings by myself! To cut a long story short: excellent day; no mishaps; car performed amazingly well considering most cars were running minimum 380 bhp & many at 600 bhp plus! Im moderately running 330bhp, but the weight advantage & track based design of car etc helped me keep in touch with most cars upto the 400 bhp 'plus-ish' mark. Apart from the big bhp cars most were evenly matched, who was quicker was more about driver & suspension/brakes than power. Though on the hangar straight the big cars such as the Skylines & Porsches would take a few cars lengths, but by the next two corners it was all square again. (though the GT3 Rs was awesome everywhere!) So much fun Iv just bought some track day wheels with another set of (goldust/holygrail!) Bridgestone RE070's in 235 size! Also booked Brands hatch for November, just need a set of nice KW or Tein coilovers now ( & another credit card), me thinks!!! Enjoy (nb: some pics are mine some are'nt)

    anti lag

Sounds amazing, my mate has it on his TSL Impreza Sti, though he only really uses at shows & meets. Does make the Turbo a servicable item though, hence I decided against it. One of my fav You tube videos that almost amde me fit anti-lag
  10. I liked the R5 turbo2 a lot as well as the black bettle, pure class. My mate who's a Ford/Cosworth fan loved the Escort & spent ages on that stand! In the older, blue Subaru engine picture you cant quite see the rolling road figures, but its running 496 bhp, detuned! The owner did all the work himself, he's an ex Subaru mechanic. There was only 1 zed in white which I was going to take a pic of until I went round to the front of the car & saw..........................he had painted his headlights glass all dark yellow like on those 1980's fog lamps!!!!!!!!!!! I couldnt bring myself to capture such cruelty to zeds, should report him to the RSPCZ!!
  11. Great show, great cars, great company. Enjoy the pics (ps I got a bit carried away, these are only half of them )
  12. Im going to be at the Uxbridge Auto Show this Sunday, never been before but driven past as it was finishing last year So anyone going, should be good fun & just 1 minute off the A40, Uxbridge exit. Im going to be on the SIDC (Subaru Owners Club Stand) with my Spec C & approx 30 others. Come down & say hello http://www.uxbridge-autoshow.com/
  13. The sultan of Brunei is in the country and a family member was pictured with the below Frakenstein Rolls Royce! Anyway, if you ever needed evidence that some people have WAY more money than sense, this car reportedly cost £500k and is a one off custom build! " The car, which is based on a 1995 Rolls-Royce Silver Spirit MKIV, is rumoured to belong to the Sultan of Brunei's family. But despite the car’s humble origins, this custom Rolls, built by Indian firm DC Designs, looks more like a car from the future with its heavily tapered coupe body, LED lights and chrome door mirrors. And this Rolls-Royce is one of the only in the world which has doors that open upwards like the ‘scissor doors’ on a Lamborghini Murcielago supercar. A suitably large 6.75-litre V12 engine sends power to its massive chrome alloy wheels. Producing around 360bhp and more than 550lb/ft of pulling power, the super-coupe should accelerate from 0-60mph in less than 6 seconds and reach a top speed in excess of 150mph. Expect to pay DC Designs around £500,000 if you want a custom Rolls-Royce of your own. "
  14. Cant remap the std ECU, just drive around in 6th gear!!
  15. Im currently trying to organise & finalise a trackday date on Scoobynet (will let you guys know also) & also might be booking the triple clubday trackday event through SIDC at Silverstone in August. (MLR/SIDC/GTR) Once these have been sorted I will be able to confirm above.
  16. Clive is a great chap & very helpful; relaxed & calm type of guy, which is excellent when your approching a corner at 110mph!! Below is an extract from the post I originally wrote just after my Donnington trackday & tuition with him a few months ago: "As Martin says Clive is a very nice, helpful guy who is also a lunatic driver....the word Stig comes to mind, in fact he drove my zed round Donnington quicker than the Stig could have!! I was in fact almost lying down in the passenger seat, holding onto the door handle in utter shock & fright for 2 laps!! Clive kept saying are you alright mate!!! I was saying something like Holy sh%t we'r dead!! In fact rather than dying Clive caught a 580 bhp Supra in 2 laps that was leaving me for dead all day. As well as showing me the lines around the track (mine were ok apart from Redgate & the start of the middle of the Craner curves) what he showed me the zed could do was invaluable advice. I was discussing with Martin & Chris about how the zed felt a bit heavy & undeersteery in the quick, sharper corners as was unsure whether it was my driving style or the car? Clive showed me obviously it was not the car but the driver! I was taking a smooth line almost like how a FWD car should be driven, but Clive taught me how the a RWD car should be driven!! In a simplified form on a right hand corner: he made come further from the left, using all of the track & then turning sharply into the apex, almost turning right, this causes the rear end weight to shift left & step out slightly, them hit the throttle & try & balance the throttle & steering (as he said "steering with the throttle") to dial out any understeer & hit the apex & continue to try & hit the bump strips on the exit. This allows you to really cut the corner in a straight line with the cars nose in the right direction & using more throttle & slight opp lock to straighten car or less throttle to allow rear to step out more. In theory I had read lots of issues of Evo & thought I knew what to do, but realised how little, until I got out on the track! In fact the two morning sessions I did without Clives advice would have been far more worthwhile had I had some instruction from him before. IMO at the next trackday I will definetley book instruction with a pro driver or instructor to show you the lines & more importantly show you how to drive your car you thought you knew how to drive. In fact I would definetley consider Clive who organises track days for groups also, as well as running customers race cars."
  17. ps We can have a few Admin, not just one
  18. Martin, just the man for the job!!!! Time & Enthusiasm, just the requirements!!!
  19. As you lot know I set up, on Facebook the 350z-uk group a while back & it has approx 80 members. Iv been a bit busy recently & have not had time to spend on here & less on facebook, as well as the fact that I have sold my Zed recently So I would appreciate if any members who want to help run the group on facebook more pro actively than I am able to, please PM me . It would help if you have used facebook & are familiar with it. Ideas I had were to: try & increase the group size; put up more videos/pics; start discussions & maybe get in touch with other 350z owners on facebook from around the world & promote 350z-uk.com Just some ideas that I havent been able to do enough on. If you havent joined the group yet: http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=4863263215
