  4. Havr u owned a Rear wheel drive car before Nixy? Here is something I thought of in another topic: "IMO in a FWD car you have to do the traditional gear down;brake;turn in; accelerate out/through corner. If you want to increase speed through corner then brake later & on way out accelerate to the limit where front wheels are almost losing traction & car is hitting apex nose almost sliding out of control but not. This is good but if you do overdo it can come unstuck by losing front end & skiding out nose first. (into kerb etc!) Hence I prefer RWD as there is firstly more fun to be had with tail out slides etc but IMO more importantly there is more margin for error. By taking corners with slight oversteer turn in & you can get out of trouble with a bit extra opposite lock turn out. But more importantly on a tight circuit (private road) where you may have barriers/kerbs, if you dont do above & take a gradual smoother line through the corner while accelerating out (almost like FWD car), you could overdo it & end up sliding/sliping into kerb etc, by losing traction at front. With extra turn in, & car is pointing at more of a sharper angle into corner & waiting till weight is shifted on back of car mid corner, powering down (with slight opp lock)will only cause car to straighten up for corner & will not be sliding towards kerb nose first. However saying all that you could get the opp lock wrong, too much power & end up fishtailing into the kerb if your unlucky!! "
  5. I see what you mean, it could be a print error, or splice & join, or 12v power wire is only from HKS SLD & not on plug. Wont know till I get to the ECU plug on the day though.
  6. I havent got to the ECU yet (will do on Monday), but it seems you just splice the plug's wires (which connects into ECU, corresponding positions as on HKS diagram refer to corresponding wires on plug). So for power & earth you have two seperate wires on plug to splice & connect two seperate wires from HKS SLD (one power & one earth). Did you recieve the HKS fitting diagram I emailed DJ DUnk?
  7. DJ Dunk I looked into it today & spoke to Chris @ JDM/Funkystyling who was very helpful & went to my local auto electrician mate whos gona do it on Monday. Looks quite simple really, maybe 45 min job. The HKS instructions show the side of the ECU, which is a bit misleading as you have to splice the wires in the plug that connects into the ECU. i.e you have to look at the ECU diagram to see which wire (from the plug) plugs into the ECU socket & splice that wire in the plug. So you actually work backwards from the ECU to the plug wire. Also found this very useful faq by Techonsquare on how to access the ECU (no need to remove it though for fitting Speed Defencer) http://www.technosquareinc.com/350ZECUremoval.htm & http://www.alteredatmosphere.com/manuals/350Z_-_G35_ECU_Removal_Instructions_for_ECU_Flash.pdf
  8. Have a nice holiday mate ps let us know how they Mustang went & pics.

  19. IMO sounds like it doesnt need a respray, just a proffesional deatiler to work his magic & hard graft
  20. I recently mullered one in my zed. Not that much in it till approx 50 mph ish & then you'l find it easier. Though you willl outbrake him & outhandle him on the twisties. Cayman S is a different kettle of fish
  21. IMO 360 modena is old design;poor quality build & workmanship; stupid runing costs, cant really compare to new to 997 or new F430. I would stay well away from older model Ferraris like the plague, unless you have very deep pockets
  22. Oh no here we go again!! I can see this becoming another labour of love for you!!
