Damn that sucks! But, sorry... +1
Hope you get it sorted quickly!

It is a nice car and definitely differnent to the norm, I've not seen another one on the road so far.
I drove it (bit embarrased really as I've never let him drive mine
) and to be honest I thought the Z would beat it easily as the turbo seemed to do a disappearing act somewhere in 3rd. But no, he was still there at 80 to 90 mph.
Gonna be interesting to see what happens when we hit Germany

I would be stupid of me to think the z is the fastest thing on the road, other cars just sometimes suprise me in how much power they actually have
Speaking of which.... Mazda 6 MPS. Next door neighbour just got one. Actually, probably because of me as I saw it at the Geneva motor show as I was bypassing the Mazda stand thinking nothing I want to look at there and it made me double take and go and have a look. Not a bad motor!
2.3L Turbo, AWD, 260 something BHP, and damn it shifts! We've got a trip to Germany and an autobahn planned to find out just how quick it really is compared to a Z but a quick 2nd to 4th gear sprint in a straight line leads me to believe this ain't going to be a foregone conclusion. I couldn't lose him
To make matters worse, he's getting a Sebring exhaust fitted on Tuesday, an exhaust they say gives an extra 15 -20 BHP

Yeah, I was thinking about that. I've got legal cover for all motoring issues with my insurance policy so I think I might give them a call to see if they do independant assessments.
Cheers

Hi people
Need some advice.....
I've just called my garage to compain about my clutch again. Since new I'm sure it's never been right, but now it seems to be getting worse.
The symptoms are juddering when pulling away in 1st, when the cars hot the clutch pedal will occassionally get stuck half way up when releasing it, its embarrassingly noisey and its generally impossible to pulll away and change gear smoothly.
My garage has gone instantly into defensive mode saying they will have to talk to Nissan Switzerland and that it might involve cost for me if they have to replace the clutch.. etc etc...
I'm royally pee'd off at the moment as the car's been back and forth all its life with this problem.
Any suggestions/advice greatly appreciated.
Cheers
Mark

I learnt to drive in Germany at a time when there weren't that many speed restrictions in place. 120mph with learner plates on... happy days
One piece of advice I can give you is that if you manage to find a stretch of autobahn where you can actually get up to 150 (too much traffic these days...) be very careful going past junctions as I've had no end of near misses with people going straight from slip roads to the outside lane or just simply pulling out to let someone on to the motorway without checking behind them.
Oh and I always have my lights on to make sure other drivers have more chance of seeing me.
Have fun!

Did everyone really appreciate their 'crappy' car when they got it? Things are so different now. When I was 17 I would have been overjoyed to have access to any old car but when my own son was 17 and started having driving lessons he would only be satisfied with a certain standard of car with upgraded alloys etc etc. Granted he paid for it himself but if I'd have offered to get him a runaround for a few hundred he would have said no thanks and wouldn't have been seen dead in it!
Yeah dead right I appreciated it, I didn't care what it was it was mine and that I finally had the freedom, it could honestly have been anything.
And as proof of that last statement, in actual fact I swapped the knackered Metro for the "Flying Turd" - a B plate Mk1 Astra 1.3 in a stunning shade of brown. Yep, completely poo brown. Great 2nd gear on it though, I think thats what sold it to me. 18 years old and not a clue.
You remind me actually Nixy, your lad has a Mk2 Astra doesn't he? He wouldn't be interested in some shocks & springs would he??????
Think we had the same car Andy! Yup my first car was also a poo (metallic) brown 1.3 Astra. Or Opel Kadett as they were known in Germany. Did yours have the lovely beige interior?
Actually had an alarm on mine, not because of the car but because of the ICE I had in it. Man did I get some strange looks walking up to that heap of junk (love of my life at the time) and the alarm beeped
Happy days....

Had a pee next to Dan Ackroyd in the Chicago House Of Blues.
He then got a phonecall from his wife who was obviously expecting him home as he was telling her he was just going to have one more beer with the guys and then he would come home
Embarrassed smiles and 'Hi there's exchanged....

Voted, but seeing as beemers and their owners are as common as shite this might not go our way....
btw which girl did you all vote for

Dunno if you can get this in the UK, but P21S Power Gel is the best wheel cleaner I've come across and it's completely non-corrosive.

WTF???
UK - Mouldy Old Dough - Lieutenant Pigeon
Who or what the hell is that?
and
US - Ben - Michael Jackson

Greece??? Brave man..... Hope you've got your fireproof underware packed...
anywhere is better than the Uk at the moment
Whats the weather like in Switzerland ??
Probably as crap as it's been in the UK. We've had flooding as well, no where near as bad as the UK but still
Sun's out today though just in time for a national holiday. The Swiss celebrating being Swiss. Good excuse for a 'few' beers and some fireworks

Surely this has been asked before???
I've seen posts about these things on every car forum I've ever been a member of and on every one it was deemed to be BS big time.... especially by people who got suckered into buying one

Phew, all i know is that a player from the opposite team in the oppositions half cannot be between the last player of the opposite team and the goal keeper before the ball is kicked by their team mate. Or something like that.I dont even know the offside rule!I wouldnt worry about it Louis
, they change it every other season anyway
Its all silly anyway. Now Rugby is a proper sport.
<--- laughing because I can only assume the comment about rugby is a joke
My missus mistook an S2000 for a Z the other day
She had plenty of time to think about her mistake as she walked home....

If you see a Swiss plated roadster flying up the outside lane (where you can...) during your Germany visit give it a wave, it might be me, as I'm frequently up and down the A61 autobahn!
Oh, and careful where there's a speed limit on the autobahn. Last time I was in Germany I managed 3 fines and 7 points.... in one day!!! Fortunately they only register the points in Germany though and not on your licence. Fines were no fun though....

Pi$$ing down in Switzerland too... Just drove from Zurich to Geneva in torrential rain. And to make matters worse, I'm driving a 2.4 Auto A6 as well
Possibly the most boring car ever??
I'm so glad I've got a roadster

Anyone know if you can get a blanking plate for it or something? I'm fed up of people laughing at it....

F#CK!!!!! I just got a fine from the Swiss police in the post for turning left out of a supermarket carpark where for some reason, which I can't figure out, you're only supposed to turn right...
£160 !!!!!!!!
I wouldn't mind, but the only car for miles around was a bloody unmarked police car! Unlucky or what.....
Sarnie's next car....
