  1. To verify what they have said we would need to know first if you feel you are competent to take out the pads to check them. If you are used to some car maintenance this is very easy and we can talk you through it.
  2. And a bit more. We had a set made for a customer in belgium for a 300ZX which we wide bodied, wheels had negative offset and cost over £5k
  3. Bear in mind the EDFC does not alter the ride height only the damping. Ride height is adjusted with the rings on the strut and is not a two minute job, plus each time you alter ride height geometry needs adjusting to suit. With regard to wheel size if you check out any of the serious machines in Japan you will see that 18'' is the prefered setup for track work. We have used both 19'' and 18'' and the car definately responds better on 18'' I am aware that it is always difficult to stick with the same size wheel when you want to change because your instinct tells you that you should be making a visual statement but the correct stance can be achieved with the correct suspension and 18's most people are convinced we run on 19's looking at pics of our car but 18's they are.
  4. Afraid not, although the caliper is the same the disc is different, 200SX disc is 280mm and 350Z 296mm also the caliper is the S13 model and discs for these are 4 stud fitment.
  5. We can supply DBA 4000 series grooved discs at £215 per pair. We are awaiting a shipment to arrive should be in the next two weeks. I know these are shown with the Brembo but the same disc although a smaller size for the non-brembo.
  6. There was one on Kings Rd in Chelsea a few years back called 'Ho Lee Fook' plus there was also the shoe shop 'R Soles' with a sign in the window saying 'Cobblers to the Queen'
  7. Yes unfortunately it has been ditched

  12. Probably one of these. http://www.cg-lock.co.uk/cg-lock/usage.html
  13. Whilst the Nismo pad is an improvement on the standard I would still say the Ferodo has the edge. The material on the Nismo is a good friction compound but what it lacks is modulation which is where the Ferodo scores. Many people talk about pads purely on how quickly they will stop the car from a hard stop, this is all well and good however performance driving requires differing degrees of modulation so that the brakes are not just used for stopping but for setting up the car pre-corner, this is where good modulation can pay huge dividends for fast B road driving and track driving. It can make quite a serious difference to how the cars aspect will be comming into a corner.
  14. Pads are NOT bedded in from the factory. To ensure prime operation carry out the following:- On a straight traffic free road take the car up to 70mph, brake firmly down to 30mph repeat this 5 or 6 times. This will condition the pads (heatwise) and remove any pad material build up on the disc from the old pads. Initial bite from cold should not be an issue with these pads.
  15. It's actually a Top Secret widebody kit details here http://blog.gtroc.com/dino/2006/02/jun_ ... ream_z.php
  16. Just to try and clarify for you, the standard brembo pad is in fact a Ferodo 2000 material albeit supplied in a brembo box. The pads recommended, Ferodo DS2500 is basically a better grade pad totally suitable for normal road use although it will improve your brake performance and pedal feel. The added bonus is that they are cheaper than the standard Nissan issue. Hope that helps and sorry if it got a bit technical.
  17. Rear pads £85 Just out of interest why not DBA I'm predicting that its something to do with this http://www.350z-uk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=16913 Thats very interesting and the first time I have seen that happen with DBA discs. We have been using these for some time now and on serious track day cars without any failures. We will have some other top drawer discs available from february which are the performance friction product I don't have confirmed prices as yet but will try to sort that in the next few days.
  18. Rear pads £85 Just out of interest why not DBA
  19. Have you used both? In what conditions? Yes we test all pads on road and track, our market is heavily toward performance rather than price if I tell you we sell on average 100 plus sets of DS2500 per week that will give you an idea of how poular they are. We stock lots of other specialist track pads from every name you could think of and some you will never have heard of but for a pad that gives the right road feel can be used on track and not be concerned about destroying the discs then DS2500 is the pad to have.
  20. EBC red and DS2500 are worlds apart. DS2500 are not agressive to the disc.
  21. One of the most popular upgrades we supply for the 350Z, which again have been well proven with many owners, is as follows. DBA 5000 front disc grooved with seperate bell. DBA 4000 series rear one peice disc grooved DS2500 pads Goodridge stainless brake lines Motul RBF600 fluid the full kit for £1130 delivered.
  22. Phil, would the DS2500 and Brembo discs be ok to run on a 400 hp Z When you say Brembo disc are you refering to the standard disc.
  23. Best pads for the Z have to be the Ferodo DS2500 you will find lots of owners running these. We supply these from stock at £185 for a full car set including delivery. We can also supply EBC reds at £115 full set or yellows at £120 again including delivery. The DS2500 are so much better though.
  24. Pretty sure this is the kit sold by Bossy styling (same area) absolute rubbish. Customer bought one, fit terrible and never seen fibreglass that thin before.
