It's not essential to have them but it does help with the noise issue. Most important is to make sure everything is cleaned up before fitting new pads including the locating pins, most dealers don't bother.

the squeeling is the pad vibrating on the pistons. Firstly as mentioned you need to apply copper grease to the back of the pads and to the outer edges of the metal backing plate. Also did you refit the original metal shims as these are designed to remove the noise as well.

By far the best method for beeding in the DS2500 pads is as follows:- Nice clear stretch of road. Take the car up to 60-70mph and brake firmly down to 30mph. repeat 5 or 6 times and then drive gently to allow everything to cool down just for a couple of mins. At no point during this operation come to a halt with your foot on the brake pedal. Sarnie got a special deal as a thank you for his introduction to this site.

Awesome They are fantastic cars, I drove one a few years ago & it took ages to get used to the clutch & gearbox, compared to a normal car they were very heavy. Are you getting a manual or Egear? It's a manual and has just had the new style clutch fitted at a cost of £6.5k so is not as heavy now.

Tein SS coilovers can lower the car by as much as 40mm if you want. The ride quality and suspension reaction is vastly improved with the coilover kit. One of the best on the market at the moment is the KW Variant 3, Jon (Baptist) runs these and I am sure would be happy to give you a reiew if you ask him.

Needs lowering, gap at the back is huge.
