  1. Well it would be rude not to come along, especially if I have to sell her in the summer to pay for a house.
  2. Prices added! Please let me know if you disagree with any of these prices although they are all o.n.o and massively cheaper than your local main stealer!!! Cheers
  3. Hi guys, Got a few parts that I've been told by the other half I must get rid of, as they are taking up too much space in the garage. (nag nag nag ) Parts include: - Set of JDM carbon cloth seats (so no airbag) in good condition, some wear to drivers side bolster - These would be ideal for anyone who wants to get some seats retrimmed but doesn't want to risk ruining the only set they have (as I intended!) or for someone who wants a slightly lower driving position as these don't have to accomodate the electric motor. **SOLD** - Rear JDM Gunmetal bumper in excellent condition. £150 o.n.o. - Driver's side window motor - Ideal for someone who has the window self lowering problem but are out of warranty! **SOLD** - Set of European spec dampers 'brand new, never fitted' - I had planned to fit these to my JDM Version-S as the ride tends to be a bit hard but unfortunately I never got around to it. These would be ideal for someone with a pre-04 JDM. Working at NTCE, I know that these were one of the main changes for the European market Zed and they do make quite a difference to the ride! £200 o.n.o. - JDM combimeter (reads in kilometres) and centre clocks - These came with my car when I bought it, as they were changed for US spec units when it was imported to the UK way back in 2003 before the zed even came to Europe. Therefore I imagine that the 'mileage' is very low on it although I do not know the exact figure. Good condition bar some small scratches to the aluminium surround of the combimeter. £100 o.n.o. If you are interested in any of the parts then PM me with an offer! Cheers
  4. I second that! I agree with the paint problems too, my bumper is peppered with stone chips Although here's a new one: Lack of cabin refinement on motorways! I drive everyday on the M1 between jct15 and jct14 and the road noise does your head in. I've fitted Pilot sports and also done my own NVH fix, which was recommended to me by one of my mates who worked on the Novidem GT-S, and although it has improved quite alot, it's still a long way off what I'd call acceptable. Don't get me wrong, I love the engine and exhaust noise that the zed makes when it's being driven with spirit, but unfortunately when you're stuck at 60mph in a rolling convoy on the M1 during rush hour, I'd rather not have to turn the radio up until my ears bleed just so I can drown out the road noise!
  5. Just disconnected the battery and topped up the brake fluid and that seems to have fixed the problem. Since doing this, I've noticed that my car now seems to drop revs more quickly after reving the engine. Perhaps some faults on the ecu have been cleared, although I wouldn't have expected any to be on there in the first place?!
  6. That doesn't sound too good! I hope I only have to change the brakes. My ESP and ABS seems to be working ok with the lights on, so I'll be keeping my fingers crossed!
  7. Cool, I had hoped that might be a reason. My discs and pads are due to be replaced asap however I couldn't get the damn caliper bolts undone when I tried to do it last weekend. A new 2ft long breaker bar and a 22mm impact socket ought to do the trick!
  8. Did you guys have any luck with fixing this in the end? My zed is now doing it too! Will try the tips from on here when it stops raining!
  9. Received my Ferodo DS2500 pads from Big Phil this morning. I only placed my order on Monday evening - What service! I can fit them tomorrow afternoon now
  10. I'm also due for a set of front pads (brembo type), Phil do you stock OEM as well as the and redstuff and ferodos? If so, how much are they mate? Does anyone on here run with Brembo discs and rear pads with redstuff pads on the front? Is it any good or should I stick with the same brand all round? I've heard some horror stories of people running redstuff pads on other cars on the standard discs and finding that their discs score pretty badly in no time at all.
  11. Had about 6 inches of snow where I live. Had no choice but to drive the zed to work as the Qashqai I had arranged to take home had a puncture, typical! I drove about 30 miles, mixture of M1 and country lanes, had a few scary moments going up hill (sideways at one point), praying I wouldn't kerb my wheels, but got here fine in the end! Bout time I put my low mu driver training to some good use!
  12. I found that Blackcircles were about £25 per tyre more expensive than lots of places I tried for the Michelins. Try mytyres or CostCo if you have membership. CostCo were offering 4 for the price of 3 a few weeks back. In the end however, I got mine fitted by a local garage in Northampton for about £600 all in, which was the cheapest I've found. I have it on very good authority from some guys at work that the Michelins were the best tyres tested on the Zed after they tested various tyres at Mira during European development. However, unfortunately for us, our friends in Japan chose to stick with the Brigestones. Me thinks that might have a little bit to do with cost!!!
  13. I bet he would have loved that! I could have sworn the skirts weren't nismo but I've just found this photo and they do look like it afterall! Strange that, cos I've always liked the nismo V1 kit above anything else! Actually I must admit, apart from some of the styling, which was not my cup of tea, the car was pretty impressive and he's certainly got the right people working on it!
  14. Yeah, Bob said it had around 350bhp and was still NA! Hmmm, I thought the wing was Veilside. Never liked their kit since I saw it in Fast and the Furious! Why has it been there for that long then???
  15. Just been to RJN motorsport to get some bits and saw a zed belonging to a guy called Giles from the dark side (reg ???3S0Z). According to Bob, he's a mod over there or something. Sorry, no photos however I'm sure some of you guys will know the car. Thought the skirts and spoiler he had on it looked a bit tacky. Not to my taste I'm afraid Can I say that without...... & Bob was also fitting a procharger to a gunmetal zed. Is it anyone's on here???
  16. Not sure about the steering wheel controls as I don't have them, but I'm sure it would be possible. You can find all the tech stuff here http://www.jvc.co.jp/english/car/asia/dvd/kw_avx700/index.html
  17. Just seen this on ebay, not long left on it though! Would make an excellent buy for someone with a JDM and standard system as the UK/European system was tuned to give a deeper, more sporty sound. I'd buy it myself as a spare for that price if the seller was closer! http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/350Z-Standard-Exhaust-System-Y-Pipe_W0QQitemZ230083780875QQihZ013QQcategoryZ38786QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

    Very loud

    How big are those wheels!!!
  19. No, I've still got the original clarion speakers fitted. In fact the only additional part I fitted was an ISO harness adapter, which for a non-bose JDM happens to be a 4-speaker Micra harness!
