  1. All the people that matter on this forum have voted Volks
  2. I may well have a walk down, let me know when you get there Tim arrives at the pub in Chesterfield uncanny resemblance old clint just needs a stripe shirt Looks like you Tim 30 years ago
  3. These would/will sell very quickly at the right price Nismos's are £1200 from Bigphil. You will have to drop a fair bit imo for someone to buy a second hand set from you instead of a new set from Bigphil. I think about £1500-£1600 would be the right price for these Volks* *But what do I know
  4. Has anyone with a newer car (06+) had the clicking axles?
  5. He might as well walk around with a clip board at Bala, with all the owners standing by their cars, noting down each and everyones requests. Gonna need a big notepad

    My new car

Why buy a new one numbnuts???? http://search.autotrader.co.uk/es-uk/ww ... x_mileage= That ones lost 6k in less than 6 months.................
  7. Buy these. Nismo's are awesome, but are the 'safe' option. Your zed would look ace with these on, very rare in the UK too
  8. Anything even slightly associated with a Rover should be pushed off a cliff directly onto any person stupid enough to consider buying one
  9. They are the best ones of mine I could find
  10. Others have been quoted more in the past for just a regrease, so its a fair price in my opinion. However the clicking will come back eventually with the regrease. New driveshafts have been quoted at £800+ previously. I'd take the regrease personally.
  11. Not when she see's your ugly mug you won't. Its Television X in the hotel room on your own for you my friend
  12. haha, not a clue, but its all digital so all the same thing. This is coming from the main wiring guy here at MTV, who has been working with electronics for about 50 years, so its a good source. the only difference may be durability, however once its connected, its connected so i wouldnt worry about that. Read and make up your own mind. Just my opinion bud. Take a look on the whathifi forums and see all the talk about HDMI cables there. The nature of compression etc. means it's not 'just' a digital signal going down it. Go with what you're happy with. I'm happy to pay the dollar as long as its actually better. No point if its not though And you've stumbled onto something that is a long on-going 'debate' point. Lots of people claim 'it's digital so it's either on or it's off', others feel since it is a cable and the nature of how information passes along it, there are differences. IMO, between the right and wrong cables there is a difference. With HD it is about sharpness and stability, something the connections play a big part in. A cheaper but very good cable is the Cambridge Audio HDMI, £30. But if you don't think you'll be able to tell the difference, it isn't worth it. I'm not entirely sure that I would be able to tell the difference to be honest. I used to put 95 Ron in the Lambo as I didn't notice the difference from 97 Ron+ stuff, I probably couldn't tell the differnce between £8000 a pot wax and a tub of Turtlewax from Halfords, i think you get my drift But then I don't wanna fork out £1000 and then not get the best out of it

  14. The Mrs thinks candles are cool I however disagree and thats where I stand my empty bottles of Magners
  15. So why is the electrics gadgetry guru (H5) trying to blag me into £55 for 1 metre HDMI cables? Does he work for QED?
  16. Cheers for that! When I bought my current TV I bought some kind of heavy duty bracket from John Lewis for about £180 to allow me to mount it: Apparantly the bracket can handle 50 inch TV's, so the pana should be ok. Gonna order it now, can't wait
  17. It comes to something when I think I know more about cars than TV's Right to summarise, I'm about to order: 1 X Pana TV 1 X HDMI cable (For the PS3) I don't need anything for the xbox as I can run it through the current cable by changing it to HDTV. Nothing is needed for my sky etc as its not HD it will just as per normal via the scart. Is that right?
  18. Which is why the QED at £50 tends to come out best. Money doesn't always equal a decent product so the tests come in handy to make sure you don't get ripped off. So is that socket ^^^^^^^^^^^^^HDMI or not?
  19. Ok so my PS3 has a HDMI output, so I need one of these I assume: http://www.digitaldirect.co.uk/products ... ct_id=6455 (£55 ) My Xbox may be one of the original ones as its output has a switch on it to switch it to HDTV. Although there is a USB shaped slot above where the internet cable goes but its not labelled. Is this the HDMI socket? Expect to spend about 10% of the value of the equipment being connected to match a cable (roughly) - the sound and picture difference between cables will be the difference between buying a Pana screen and something for £300 from Asda. What does the destruction manual say the port is for the XBox? The instruction manual doesn't say anything about any of the ports. I took a pic of it: HDMI or not? I assume the cable i linked to previously is what i need to connect up the PS3. Will I need something similar for my sky box or DVD player or should I play my DVD's through the PS3?

  21. Will I need one of these too: http://www.digitaldirect.co.uk/products ... t_id=13402 Or is this only needed if you don't have enough HDMI sockets on your TV?
