  1. Well if there are I'm going invest £50k in Nismo wheels from the states where they are $450 a wheel and sell them to people for £2500 a set................................... Only numpties buying a new zed would buy them at that price. NO ONE will buy them at that price otherwise.
  2. I think nearly new Nismo's with new tyres at £1250 is not a million miles off a decent price, a little haggling would sort that out. But to want the full £1250 PLUS your rays and tyres is/was a joke. Once you get above £1250, you getting into decent aftermarket wheel territory.............
  3. Doesn't the Ebisu have a fleck in it? A bit like UY when you catch it in the right light?
  4. On a 57 plate with GT Pack, you could easily get something for £16k. If you go to auction, I recon £12k tops. really? you think it's easy to get for 16k? i've been looking around and everything is listed at around the 20k mark and not sure how much i can knock off it? if it's listed at 20k, say a 2008 with less than 10k miles on the clock, can i offer then 15k for it? Read his post, he said its easy, if you go to auction......
  5. I'd defo give it a P3 and then start again................

  9. Only another 23 years for him to pay them off
  10. I thought the leather was decent to be honest, I actually used the cruise all the time and (shock horror) actually thought the Bose was good, but I will admit I'm an ICE novice. Plus the electricallly moveable and heated seats were great imo. Granted, i don't think I'd pay the premium Nissan ask for them if I was buying new but when buying second hand I'd never buy a non GT Yes but don't forget how old your gt4 was when you sold it, the seats would have still been in new condition. Take a look at most 04-05 reg cars now and you will see a bit of wear especially on the bolster+how many people now have sound systems which are playing up ie left side cutting out and are out of warranty. I personally do a lot of short journeys so i would'nt even use the cruise control, this is why the non gt suited my needs more. I agree but I'd still rather have worn leather electric heated seats than manual cloth ones
  11. I disagree mate - i'd still take the car at that. If someone told you you needed 1500quids worth of work doing on your car, you'd tell them to go f*ck themselves. And with zeds now - he'll have already lost a tonne of money on it in depreciation - he's not gonna just give in like that! Get it bought mate! Exactly my thoughts. Looking at the market, £8800 is well under market price. My last post was intimating that he has already reduced it according to the condition. he was never gonna take a phone call and then reduce it loads on the basis of what you was saying the RAC man said. £8800 is still very very good, and if he would take £8500 then even better. All of those issues are just usual wear and tear and can be sorted pretty cheaply.

  15. Thing is, the car is cheap as chips already. A kuro GT with alezan and 37k for £8800 is very cheap and most probably due to the issues noted..........
  16. I think there are massive diffences in one persons "empty" and other peoples. Some people fill up when there is a quarter left, some when the light comes on, others when the ------ comes up. I used to do 500 miles a week in mine and 400+ miles from a full tank before the light came on was very hard to achieve even driving conservatively. I once, out of neccessity, did 360 miles untill the light came on and then 70 miles on the --------- but i had everything turned off and was riding the clutch downhill at every opportunity
  17. You forgot to mention. Dont crash the car on the test drive Sorry Merry Christmas Liam No,no your wrong. Crash it then offer them £5k for it Happy Christmas Dave
  18. Be friendly. be knowledgable to the point that your telling him things about the car/marque. Don't tell him your budget and if he asks, lie. Tell him you actually have the cash in the bank to do a deal. tell him you REALLY want it. be prepared to offer him example's of similar cars that are cheaper ( have print outs of ads if needed) be bold, don't be scared of offering him a lot lower than they have it up for sale. If he gets angry then that isn't the place to spend your cash. On the test drive, appear underwhelmed. Sales people look for "buying signals" such as enthusiasm on the test drive, willingness to talk about finance and how quick they could have the car ready etc. Deliberately drop these into the convo followed by lines such as " I wish i could stretch to afford this" etc etc. The key i find is to take control of the conversation.
  19. I can take it as well as I give it out don't worry
