  1. The weather's lovely here in california... bit chilly, but blue skies and sunshine
  2. Two 140GB discs? Very good... that's room for lots of nature movies
  3. LMAO! 280GB, I don't think so! How about 2GB! Considering you would need about 280 slots inside ur PC for 1GB cards, not to mention the cost (1GB cards can cost 200 notes) might be 56k! Of course, you might have been joking
  4. The Visa waiver is what you would do, just fill in the green form on the plane (don't forget the white customs one too). You should be fine, there's nothing on there about driving either - just are you gay / a communist etc I was caught speeding in Illinois last year (95 in a 55) and the funny thing was, just before I was pulled I'd said to the lads in the car "Don't worry about the speed, this landscape is so flat I could see a squad car for miles..." NEE NAW NEE NAW DOH!
  5. the Zs ok in the wet when you drive it sanely, and my dad has been driving for 50yrs! Have to trust him
  6. Get filthy rich like Lomoto and have a mansion in the Derbyshire hills
  7. Shall I look after your Zed and scrub those Toyo's in for you?! What date is this again?! Don't wind me up - I've insured my 66yr old father and he'll be looking after it for me
  8. Yeah baby! They are a pig to photo tho, too bright!
  9. Didn't neil and christine hamilton try to use this as a defence? They were caught on the m4 I think, and they didn't get away with it. I would think that the coppers would be honest enough to hold their hand up and say who was driving - is that too much to ask?
  10. I have to bail - flying to San Fran on Thurs, not back till March Have a great time!
  11. Cheers lads! No room in my fridge cos its full of beer... for now!
  12. I'm due to get mine replaced soon but here's the weird thing - the skipping has practically stopped! Admittedly it hasn't been _really_ cold recently, but even when the ICY sign is on I have no skipping or the skipping only starts once the car has warmed up a bit (then doesn't last long). Strange.
  13. I've had 158 on the trip compootah, did take a little while though (in Germany)
  14. On the subject of skiing - anyone got any tips for a complete novice skier? I'm going to california next week to work and hope to visit Tahoe and do my first bit of skiing or boarding - any little nuggets of work would be very much appreciated!
  15. The Rotherham Boys in Blue continue to get away with it! Come on Ming, sort your lads out http://community.channel4.com/eve/forum ... 9350050296 The chief constable is a national spokesman on roads policing A police chief has taken himself to court after a force vehicle was caught by a speed camera. South Yorkshire Police Chief Constable Meredydd Hughes pleaded guilty on behalf of the force to failing to supply the driver's identity. The force was fined £500 by magistrates in Rotherham on Thursday. ================================================ The court heard "diligent inquiries" failed to track down the driver of the car, which was caught travelling at 47mph in a 40mph zone in June. Yer officer you tried your hardest Big Grin ================================================ Mr Hughes, who is head of road policing for the Association of Chief Police Officers, pleaded guilty by letter to failing to give the identity of the driver who was guilty of speeding and did not appear in court. 'Rules broken' After the hearing, he said: "There are a comparatively few number of cases each year where we cannot establish the driver of what is often a hire car being used by officers enquiring into murders and other serious incidents. "In the enthusiasm to follow up these inquiries, it would appear that our own internal rules about log books have not been complied with. "We are looking at ways of ensuring that those who have the responsibility in every district or department for the correct use of police vehicles will be held accountable in future by the courts." Last month, a South Yorkshire officer was cleared of speeding on his way to pick up a Chinese takeaway after being caught by a camera on the same road. Pc Stephen Akrill, 41, was caught by the speed camera driving a police Land Rover at 48mph in a 40mph zone. But he said he was on his way to an accident and magistrates, who heard the officer had ordered the takeaway in advance, cleared him.
  16. I was driving sedately (had my mum in the passenger seat) so you caught up and passed, exchanged knowing looks and a wave I couldn't keep the sedateness up and then went past you with a grin on my face I think I bamboozled you with the new LEDs (you had the old ones) and the funky new licence plate (Kxx URO)
  17. LOL Yeah its much cooler to shoot "wildlife" animals Dunno in UK but in Belgium its pathetic. The animals they shoot are basically bred in captivity and then put in nature, much tamer and less afraid of humans and all that ... now how's that for a challenge Why not put the tame creatures in the clay-pull then, make it more interesting
  18. my 2p - finally heard back from the dealer and they are replacing both CV joints under warranty - took them ages to work this out (two weeks!). I'm also getting my sound thingie replaced too. Want me to check how much this would cost? I reckon they could tell me that.. parts/labour.
  19. Dude, if you've just bought the car the dealer must fix the problem no questions asked. It has bugger all to do with the warranty - he's sold you dodgy goods and the law says he must pay. Speak to your local Trading Standards if ya don't believe me
  20. Wow, a two-tone Z! I hope you are ready for the hoover comments (most likely from Sarnie! ) I like it without the spoiler... have you got a pic of the spoiler?
  21. H5 has a said but I reckon he has something hotter he's not telling us about! Bring her along to the next Japfest mate!
  22. I think custard is heading towards being the most popular colour, esp down south. I saw a chilli close up (Pingus) and it was v nice. I still prefer black.
  23. Not sure we could fit Captint in the trunk... he's a bit bigger than a set of golf clubs! Big boned, of course...
