  1. I've done the Ring on same level of depth but Bridgestones But I am obviously insane and would never recommend it as a sane course of action
  2. Yo! I've been working my wee buns off! At home today writing my 2nd draft presentation for VMworld in San Fran on Sep 11th! Lovely timing... What are you driving these days, sl114? Have you seen Captint or Hanel around?
  3. Looks like I might be able to go that weekend of Aug 3rd... g/f just managed to move her "go live" date (some work thing) so now for some detailed planning. She's never been... need to check: * Which dates/times are open to public * Hotel (I fancy staying somewhere different than Bad Munstereiffel for a change) * Chunnel * Umbrella * Flask * Spare underpants
  4. I go every year and stay about 20k away in Bad Munstereifel - its a lovely little town, no tourists... just don't expect anyone to speak Engrish... Adenau is right in the middle of the Ring and is hard core.
  5. Sounds like tosh to me - any proof? Why don't they just send a cheque / payment for the difference?
  6. Religion shouldn't get any money from us, we shouldn't fund churches no matter what the denomination - thanks for bringing it up, Nixy! ...except when you read the petition it goes on about investing in "Christian churches" - looks like troublemaking between the religious mentals, as has been the normal for the past x'000 years ...and have you seen some of the other petitions on there? Loony central! "Half the proliferation of ATMs" "Close brothels with more than two women working" "charge email at 0.1p per email thus eliminating spam" - hahahah!
  7. Sounds like mine - sometimes when I press down I get the squeek, sometimes I don't... and yes, it rattles like buggery (erm....)
  8. Funny that, about a year ago the scummers in my local pub thought a PC was something to run away from, not something to connect thee t'internet. Now the buggers are on ebay all the time making a few quid - and not in a good way. Perhaps that's where they sold all their teeth as they only have about five good ones between them.
  9. What do you have done - SC or TT?
  10. My nose is ok now (thanks, Beconase!) now my eyes are itching like a bastard!
  11. Beconase works for me - couple of squirts up each nostril, morning and night. Hayfever is a right bastard right now - I suspect the tree pollen because of all the rain / sun we've had. Everyone I know who has it is suffering bad. My eyes look like those kid's in Angela's Ashes - two pissholes in the snow, anyone?
  12. whats the rear valance make (is that the right name, the skirty bit round the exhausty bit) I don't like the nismo / veilside "stick on look" - the one above looks more complete.
  13. Oh no, you were at brunchen - we never made it there... stayed at Adeneu or up at the forest bend at the top of the very long hill walk! Adenau-Forst is the crazy 90 degree left hander followed by 90 degree right hander! I'll be there next year, same time - Spa on Tue is a deffo next time! Cool pics!
  14. Sweet - thanks all for the feedback. Better a five minute fool for asking a question than a fool for a life time for not...
  15. Nice and dirty! Love it. You can see how the layman can get confused... some folks talk about tyres with 245x35x19 and then some talk about 19x9.5... So, I need 245x35x19 and 275x35x19 which is the same as 19x9.5 and 19x10.5? But then again, Sarnie has 285s the greedy git... that sounds really dirty and might just be my bag, baby!
  16. Sweet - are yours 245 / 275?
  17. I just wanted to give you sorts a chance to show that you know something! With the 245/275 I assume (1) you don't need to frig about with the ESP, and (2) they fill the arches... or are spacers required to be even dirtier? So for that truly dirty "I'm going to ravish you" look: Front: 245x45x19 Back: 275x45x19 WIDTH (converting in to mm) 245 mm = 9.64566 in 275 mm = 10.8267 in PROFILE (percentage of tyre width) 245 mm x 45% = 110.5 mm = 11.05 cm One more question (Columbo-stylee): what's all this talk about lug nuts... I assume you get everything you need with the wheel... assume the nissan nuts dinnae work on different wheels... do I need a side order of nuts?
  18. After spending a weekend @ Nurburgring, mostly watching the back of a Porsche GT3RS zoom away from me, I thought - gosh, that car looks dirty with those big fat wheels... ...I reckon the Z would look just as nasty (read: nice) with big fat wheels too. Looking at wheels online I see 19x9, 18x9 etc.. I'm assuming 9 is the offset... but what about the width of the tyre... is that the middle number in: 245x35x8 or something? A word to the wise please :-)
  19. Here's one! Here's another, different passenger + camera stuck to windae Here's my buddy in his M3 - his was the fastest most mental lap of all! NUTTER!
  20. They aren't that strict. We had the sucker mount thingie on the windae but didn't put the camera on until thru the barrier. You would love it, Louis - all those people watching you in your Z... ;-)
  21. Even better - I have a video my bud is going to give me - he was a passenger and had his camera attached to the windscreen - should be awesome with a lot of giggling and swearing
  22. Whilst queuing to get out out of the field next to the main entrance, Chris stuck his head through my window and asked, "Are you Steve?" Hahahhaha Saw other Zs apart from his sunset + nismo, some on the track... My laps were mostly quiet as I wanted to get home in one piece, but a few slides in the rain were ace Worst bit was seeing a crumpled biker
