  1. I had a Nak briefly. Lovely units....
  2. Thanks guys. Now what have I missed Craig??
  3. Sounds like it should be progress, but have no idea what they're like to install mate....
  4. Depends how much you'd spend on the replacements?
  5. Look like nice units, and have heard some nice Morel speakers in the past. Not heard these or seen anything about price on them so far.....
  6. ....starts here!! After having had a go at the exterior paintwork a few weeks ago, it was time to start on the wheels, arches, exhaust, interior, engine bay, anything else that can be cleaned...... Exterior paintwork was here.... And after a few drives it looks like this:- Not too bad I didn't think, apart from the usual brake dust build up and road muck. The exhaust got some attention first. An attack from the Dyson, interior shampoo, AG Leather Cleaner, AG Leather Care Cream on the carpets and seats. The dash and plastics were wiped over and then dressed with Poorboys Natural Look Dressing. Then the exhaust got some elbow grease. Trusty old Brasso did this! The big bit of work so far was the arches and wheels. I got a new set of Rays about 18 months ago. I haven't had them off for about 9 months so they needed a proper clean. I usually use water / CG wash dilution on them and get through the depth of the wheel while removing chunks of skin off the back of my hand! Before:- Then the wheel got cleaned with Chemical Guys Citrus Wash n Gloss and diluted AG Clean Wheels on the tough bits. Was pleased to see the sealant had prevented the troublesome corrosive Rays from showing any real signs of aging. Initially came up ok. The wheel were dried and left for a bit...... The arch area before:- Dirty Brembo:- The arch was sprayed with AG Engine and Machine Cleaner and a range of Envy Detailing brushes and other cleaning brushes used to agitate and get it into all the areas needed. Then the arch was dressed with AG Vinyl and Rubber Care, all brake bits re-greased and cleaned. The wheels were polished with AG Super Resin Polish and then sealed with Chemical Guys jetSEAL 109. The tyres dressed with Meguiars Hot Tyre dressing. Wheel nuts polished with Brasso, all put back together. Arch before and after Wheel before and after Next up, the rears and the engine bay......!

Apart from the Porsche front vents, looks great!
  8. When young and foolish, I used Wonder Wheels on my OZ Superlegerras..... Don't do it! I now use a mix of stuff, anything from just water, through to very occasionally on the tough bits diluted AG Clean Wheels but then immediately rinsed and dried......
  9. If I had the time to look after a dog, I'd love one. And it didn't ruin the house and cars of course. Looks like a lovely puppy, congrats!
  10. Welcome back mate. You know it makes sense to get rid of the Vauxhall and get back into a Zed.....
  11. It never happened Though I think me & mark could have a little contest of our own Mr Ming has been somewhat absent and my train of style got intercepted, shall we say! All change now though!
  12. It's just simple science bud. Dragging anything across the car will leave some sort of mark. The point with a rubber blade is that anything trapped under it will be dragged and could mark the paint. The blade itself is guaranteed non scratch, just not the stuff it traps! As for cloths coming out of sealed bags, no-one is saying that, just that the towel ABSORBS the water and any residual dirt as opposed to moving across the surface. It's the same theory as the sponge vs. wash mitt.
  13. Please don't tell me it's a wiper like Chris posted above Mark! I use a Megs Water Magnet or the AG chamois depending on what stage. They both work very well I find.
  14. 1.Martin and Liz 2.Chris I and Amanda 3.Shire and gf 4.Andy and Fran. 5. Rob and Becca Martin, not sure what time exactly, but probably an early start to get up for the Sat drive out. I think the drive on Sat will start lunch time ish. Might be better to do the clean after the Sat run?
  15. Welcome to the club. The short answer is that yes there have been syncro issues that can be fixed under warranty - it's an easy check when test driving a car, change from 4th to 6th at reasonable revs, you'll soon hear it. As for the clutch, well they wear on any car, so if you're going to buy one that might need a new one soon, make sure it's reflected in the price. As you have seen they're not hugely expensive pieces. 350Z's are generally pretty reliable cars. Only a few have recently started giving a few new owners the odd problem but between us we tend to work it out. Oh, and Alex isn't a garage. He just knows a hell of a lot about how the Zed works and how it's put together.
