  1. I've been once, seemed a very sensible meet, quite a few nice cars. Will definitely go to the next one. Missed the last one due to the Zed being looked at for brakes and clicking rear axle.....
  2. Might have a chance of spotting someone off this forum with another in the area!!!!! You're gonna love this weekend!!
  3. Erm, GT Four? What a first post! It's his that's why!!!!! Welcome to the world of real grunt Billy. No twin entry turbos on here unless you've already got 280 bhp.....!
  4. I've got to provide them with wheels for them to move it. When they found it they used wheel skates which involves jacking (or lowering off the bricks!) the car onto little moveable beds. So, I need to find three wheels (spare still in the car) to move it, and give them the keys. Joy.
  5. That shouldn't be a problem at all!! Kev, you have PM! I've filled up twice with the new V-Power and something has happened to my fuel consumption...... Computer was reset 2000 miles ago and was running at 25.3 MPG and an average speed of 32 mph. In the last week, it's now 25.5 and rising. No different driving, same trip to work and back and occasional A / B road play. Coincidence??
  6. The alternative is to do what TVR do - put a loud beeping noise on the indicators!! Dunno which I'd prefer but have done the same with the indicators. You can wire a beeper into the circuit I'm sure......
  7. Hi Chris I will go with whatever people think but for what its worth I think that when H5 and I reach a set date all members should be allowed to vote with maybe half a vote on the back of pictures and a full vote to those that turn up at whatever meet it is that we both attend. (they get to look at both cars side by side.) Come on H5 what do you think? Rickya Thanks for that mate. I have seen some pretty smart BMW engines around as well. That straight 6 head begs to be blinged!! When I retire I do want to go into the valeting, engine bling business doing my own powder coating, but that is 4 1/2 years away yet and there are still villains to pursue. Ming the Polished PS Just got a GTO front rocker back in Hyper Black - a sort of black chrome with a very fine metal flake in the lacquer - and I spent about two hours polishing the lettering. it looks mint. The owner is going to have fits when he see's it. Its one of those colours that looks nowt until the sun hits it then it explodes into colour. Good suggestion Ming, happy with the half vote from pics and full if at the location. Is it worth setting a date of Trax next year? Or earlier in the year? If you find time in the next 4 1/2 years, fancy catching the TWOC'ers that took my car??? see my post about my car - not happy with the local police atm... From what you've shown it's be something people would go for. Bonus is, if they don't keep it clean, you get to do it again.....!! Now to decide on that theme....... :kicking
  8. Will find out when they tell me where it is / when the recovery have picked it up for a second time from the lab. Not sure how they plan to 'pick it up' with no wheels though.........???
  9. About 6.45 this evening heading towards M25 / London from junction 3-2 in the outside lane heading up the hill.......

    Wac a wave

Cars like this are something people have a passion for and it's a case of just being part of a 'club'. I see nothing wrong with it at all. And yes, I've seen plenty of people flash each other, pull over and talk etc that have football stickers in their cars for the same team. Each to their own. Mini (proper ones!!) and Elise owners definitely do it.
  11. Top marks Ming, like it a lot! To be honest, this is my first big go at an engine bay, but I have a very strong ally that turned his Cossie engine bay into something I'd rather eat my dinner off than any plate! http://uk.pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/timbur ... pg&.src=ph
  12. Of course you can get it to 400 bhp, and for less than £43k, I agree. And that's another reason why the Zed will go down as a classic and the Z4 as an anomaly!!
  13. And it'd be interesting reading the spec sheet of a £43k BMW vs a £28k GT Zed..... I know there's a few tricks the the German, but £15k worth?
  14. Edited: 17" 205/40 R17 They recovered it on 22nd, and tell me now!! Now they're telling me I have to provide keys and wheels for it!!! Bet the thing is covered in bloody finger print dusting and been pulled apart to look for clues etc.
  15. Update for you all........ The car has been found and has been for over a week, but the police never saw fit to tell me. It has been in storage since then and got a letter today saying where it was....... minus the wheels. If anyone has offered a set of 17" OZ Superleggeras recently painted in a glossy anthracite with Yokohama A539's on two and Dunlop Sort SP 8/9000 on the others, please let me know. (205/40 R17) Thanks all for your comments, Yours royally f@%ked off, H5.
  16. Not sure it's the nicest looking thing, the NISMO is more bling! Seems there's a bit of price difference tho. Anyone got the NISMO? Pros / cons with the JWT? I need more noise but not at constant throttle speed on the motorway if possible.
  17. Its a Nismo version of the JWT popcharger. Gains are hard to quantify, but I assume it makes the same sort of noise as the JWT. Ah, so now I know what a JWT popcharger is!! Anyone got any pics of the JWT (what does that stand for??) ?
  18. Rob My lad was SEVENTEEN!!!!!!!!!!! He wanted an install like all the other seventeen year olds ....... but ....... BETTER!!!!!!!!!! Thats what he got. Alos it was about five years ago. Its not how I would do it but I am nearly 48!! I can tell you that in the peer group he knocked about in at that time it blew the oposition into the weeds. Not only that but taking the components out - and he funded them - it cost us less than £100!!!!! Styles change. Christ look at what WE all used to wear!! Have no fear nothing ike this will go any where near the Zed. I am going to use leopard print. The Whole idea of the pics was to show H5 what we could do, not what we are going to do! Ming the Ready As the older one its your place to educate them. The sooner they realise how crap it is to have 6x9s above subs the better. If you save the money on 6x9s spend it on gettinga better amps/subs you would still have a 'cool' looking install but it would sound even better blowing away his mates [i was not knocking the style - as you say its all down to trends] It's not even about subs vs 6x9. Ming and son had got the subs and plenty of it from the looks of it!! The basic thing people forget, is where are you sat and how many speakers do you really need?? At the front of the car, and two......... Sub should blend with the front end. All much easier said than done!!
  19. The H5 is the beginning of my number plate from the pics of the Volvo? It's just short and easy to remember for logging on to these sites!! Are you trying to scare me Ming?? I have plenty in the pipeline, I never make a rash decision, the WHOLE CAR will be planned before any work is started and will all be done quite quickly after that....... However, the fabrication of many things from that light weight racing material has begun....... BTW, what sort of price have you been quoted as I want one done and there's a few places down here (could get it cheaper if more than 1?) As a comparison? PM me if you want.
  20. Found this and wondered if anyone had any knowledge / experience of it? Not sure about the power gain claims though..... http://www.grubbsperformance.com/Mercha ... 350ZIntake
  21. I have to take some of that - takes a while to get that timing right!!!
  22. Hi Mate Looking at the install I reckon they did your house FOR THE BITS IN THE CAR!! The install looks good mate. Nicely fitted and well made. I can see we are both going to have some fun here. I like it when the oposition is quality. Bring it on Ming the Prepared Luckily the dirty little tea leafs got away with a car with no kit in it as I'd taken it all out. Little to$$ers. It's all good fun. Round 1.....
