I think it's called paranoia Liam. They've got keys to one of my cars, and might be uber determined to get it. So wanted to stop any chance of it getting away, and using a Zed as the barrier to it made me want to go overkill on making sure that couldn't be moved.....

As for the argument about where was the car at night, whenever you visit someone and park it up it's not in a garage so I think they'd have a very hard time not paying up if it was on the drive the odd few nights. Just like the 'how many miles do you think you'll do' question. Who flaming knows to the nearest 1,000 miles?!

Was thinking about the battery but then thought if I did that it might intefer with the alarm and immobiliser? Fuse isn't a bad idea, even if it's for the lights, no-one drives at 3 in the morning with no lights on unless they're doing wrong!! It's disappearing for a few days now anyway.......

I did exactly that, took the HT leads out, not to mention a couple of other surprises!! It's hard to call isn't it. Protect your property at the risk of yourself. If someone wants it badly enough, they'll get it. All I can do is make it as hard as possible to get in. As another point, the SOCO that cam round took the details of this site and a few others I gave her (hope you don't mind). She wants to get a network going of the following things: - 1. Updates on what the latest scam is and how we can guard against it 2. How to mark property (wheels etc) so if stolen they can be reunited with you (she reckons the can't get 90% of what they find back to original owners!) 3. Stolen car 'in your area' arrangement for swift spread of news What do you think?? Hoping it turns up in the next 24hrs.

I know what they are, what they're called etc. I was wanting to take them out last night after my burglary. Didn't think it had any leads but wasn't sure what the replacement would be. Anyone got any pics?

My thoughts exactly, no idea why, which scares me a bit as they might be coming back for the Elise..... I think it may have been opportunists practising getting in and got lucky with finding the keys. They'd have been put away on any other night!! As for the material things argument, I agree. It's more that they've been in my house while I was sleeping, stolen my watch (21st b'day present ) and scared my girlfriend. The rest is hassle. Quite a lot actually. Thanks for the tip on locations guys, have passed it on. Apparently it's a Barclays ATM. Have got the local cruisers looking. May not match everyone's taste in cars but they've been great about this.

Cheers Val, all done. Best piece of help of the night: Rang a bank to tell them. They cancelled the card and then said that someone had tried to use the card at 3.26 and 3.27 this morning. Said it was at 1 The Triangle. I asked her where that was - response - phone back Monday!!!!!!! Aaaaaaaaarrrrrrrggggggghhhhhh!! Much pushing was done but no more info. Policeman was going nuts as they had cars out looking for it!!

I am, yeah. They've tried to use my credit cards locally already so not sure what it's for. Just a bit scary and very annoying. Paranoid about everything now!!

Edited. It's H5 RLP. The thing sticks out, and mods aside, is a 10 years old diesel Volvo with no interior. It's worth next to nothing!!!
