  1. Pic in case it helps.
  2. A neighbour works shifts and saw someone pushing it off the driveway and thought it was strange (NSS!!) Rang the police and watched them drive off with it. She called at 2.46am and I wwas woken at 3.05 am. Not bad!
  3. Yep, I was asleep upstairs at the time with the missus. I was woken by a policeman at the top of my stairs calling 'Police, who's there'!!! They've got in using some contraption through the front door to unlock the front door, come in and taken anything in the hallway. All keys and wallets are normally locked away but I was woken Saturday morning at 3am too after a mate had been in a serious car accident - went to bed in a daze at 9.30 last night!! Ram raid probably not mine having been and seen the site. They'd just seriously better hope I don't find out exactly who it is......
  4. Didn't damage the Zed no. Phew! They've broken into my house and stolen the keys to that and the Elise. There were three of them so I guess that's why they took the Volvo. Volvo was fully spec'd up, Clifford alarm, two immobilisers etc. All useless when they've got the keys!! So, no wallet, no keys, lost a car and getting mad!! Off out to see if I can see anything. The thing isn't exactly subtle. Just heard about a ram raid in the next village......
  5. Sorry if this is the wrong place, my Volvo 440 has been stolen in the last hour off my driveway. Green Volvo 440, OZ Superlegerra alloys, tinted windows, Touring Car rear spoiler, H5 RLP number. Please keep an eye out in the Berkshire area!!
  6. Who know what this new engine is like too. It may be unreliable, thirsty, not nice to drive and everyone favours our 'out of date' cars. I don't see it as anything to worry about. People still buy Escort Cosworths of all ages and specs - because they're awesome cars. People will still spend £20k + on one rather than an Evo...... Same will happen with the Zed IMO. The range is good, if they develop it then I think that's good for keeping the name going and the second hand market good for us. Plus, you're driving it now, not next year!!
  7. OK, cheers, now where can that go?! Boot lining out.......!!
  8. Calm yourselves, nothing like that.. When I did the work on my brakes the other night, I used the jack as my trolley jack was still at my parents. I have one little spanner, one jack, one 'hooked' jack arm and one towing eye. Should I have another piece of metal somewhere to attach to the 'hooked' arm?? The diagram in the owners manual looks like it. If so, any tips on where this could disappear to?!?!
  9. If you're getting something to enjoy, then it's up to you. Kids will always need special care made, cars are no different. If you're going to get a car for kids too, I'd think 4/5 doors and safety first. If you can get speed then great. The Evos / Scoobys of the world would be top of this perfromance list. Money no object, Audi RS6 Avant or V70R or something. Why would you compromise on a coupe or anything to break your back getting them in and out of the back?! If you want a fun car, then with 2 seats like the Zed you and your partner can escape occasionally without any worries and enjoy it. Go for it! I've no kids so just my opinion. Get yourself a cheap V40 T4 for the wife, then you get a bit of both for not much cash.....!! Yep, it's the Volvo's again.....
  10. Autoglym for me too. Think that has some leather extracts in one of the them, two bottles I think (cleaner and renovator or something).

    pick up 350 today

At least in a Zed in this weather you can enjoy it. TVR would be another matter!!
  12. London bound on the M4, I was following from Slough to the M25, you continued on towards London, I turned onto the M25. **05 DJO IIRC.

Why????????????????????????????????????????????????? I'm surprised that it's taken this long!!! You should see my last show car!! Most of my friends and family work in the motor industry in some way, from making Prodrive WRC's to selling them through to racing in Indy League. Few of which at the Swedish brick manufacturers. Have to say, the new S40 / V50 is a good car, drive one. Not as good as the Zed though!
  14. How do you do it to get the file size down?? Or how do you link to the picture or mini clip?? Sorry!!
  15. **55 WSU (IIRC) going up the slip road off the M40 at High Wycombe at about 7pm...
  16. No experience of Reading dealership. Dan Perkins Slough seem OK on it and know what parts need replacing as mine's had it.
  17. Found out we were being routed through the US server today rather than the UK ones. Probably something to do with chat rooms our summat. Thanks for looking into it anyway.
  18. Feared as much, I won't start on about the EDS support we get at work Cheers.
  19. Not sure what's happening, but I've been typing a couple of posts and when submitting being taken straight to the login page, and having to re-write the post again. If it's only a few words or I type like mad I can get it done. Is there something wrong??
  20. Do the first checks of bits in the boot rattling around. If it's the axle then it is a warranty job and dealers should be aware. Where will you take it? As for the consequences, I'm not sure. Since a noise comes from friction of some sort, I'd expect it causes premature wearing of some part(s). Surprised I haven't spotted yours yet!!

Comfort wise I think the Zed is pretty good. Having had a couple of new Volvos in the recent past that always have much acclaimed comfort in the seating and long drive areas, I've been pleasantly surprised by the Nissan. And the leather (if you go for it) is softer than any German cow I've sat on....!!
  22. If it's useful, I'll be removing rear wheels soon for some cleaning so if pictures (with arrows etc.) are wanted for the above let me know and I'll do it. One question, anybody seen their worn rear pads at any point and had the inner pads wearing more than the outer? I had it on both of mine.
  23. Weather held off, and job done. The 350zmotoring link is useful, but focussed on changing both pads and disc. You don't need to remove the caliper to change the pads. Usual stuff to start, chock wheel, loosen wheel nuts, release hand brake etc.... So:- - Wheel off you'll see two clips hooked over the outer edge of the caliper. These go through the bars holding the pads in the caliper. Wrap hand in rag to avoid punching wheel arch bare handed and removed the clips. - Slide bars out, watch out for spider clip springing out. - Push pads back (I used wheel jack bar) and remove pads, then push pistons back ready for new pads. - Slide new pads in and replace bottom bar. - Hook bottom of spider clip behind bottom bar and slide top bar in to secure. - Replace pins in bars. Nothing to un-do and forget to do up, no removal needed. There's no pics as I was racing against fading light. Should be able to do this in no more than 45 mins for both sides from start to finish.
  24. Spotted in Wokingham town centre, parked last night at about 9-9.30, S** DGC. Was on my way to collect my Dominos Texas BBQ as a reward for my brake pads......
