  1. The corroding wheels have various points on each one as to why they aren't going to be done. From kerbing (which we know about but I still don't agree with) to saying that what is a bubbling from underneath is caused by a stonechip and isn't covered. How they can tell that I don't know, but still think it's irrelevant. Fact is in 2 and a bit years they shouldn't be corroding. Then there's the interior leather issue. The handbrake has worn through on the end of the lever, where you wouldn't put much (if any) wear on other than a light touch with your thumb on the button. Again, in a £30k car I don't see how they can think that's acceptable. This extends to the silver paint on the stalks flaking off, on bits you don't even touch. Current stance is, it's wear and tear. Granted I don't expect it to stay perfect with time and use, but surely these things should last more than they are.

Have checked Blackcircles and they don't seem to do 245/45 R18 Toyos??
  3. From an audio point of view and quality of picture etc. I can recommend the Alpine. Afraid I don't know about the Birdview bit though.
  4. I've used Chips Away on quite a few occasions and always been pretty good. That does seem a little more than you'd expect, but it depends on what they intend to do and how bad the scratch is? Isn't their approach to 'paint the chip not the car'? May be wanting to just rub the area down and only spray a very small area. A whole panel resprayed can look entirely different if colour / texture / finish vary at all.
  5. Do non-Nissan warranties cover the clicking axle fault? No idea, depends on the extent and quality of the warranty I guess. If it's supposed to be as per dealer then yes it definitely is. Point being if it's not a Nissan one they may not be obliged to use Nissan or even new parts to repair any damage / faults - which would then invalidate the portion of the Nissan warranty that is left......
  6. Nobody even knows what the mid to long term effects of the clicking are as far as I know. You could always listen REALLY hard and put it in for a check on the clicking rear axle. Or that might create a problem!! Are you considering extending the warranty?
  7. Well it's gone in today, with a rather long list of bits to be looked at - am hoping they can deal with them all, ranging from interior shabbiness (that I don't think should be there on a car of that age and mileage) through to the gearbox. Said they may need it for two days though....... And the result is it's gonna need to go in for a week possibly for the gearbox work. As for the rest of the warranty stuff, I can see a big fight with Nissan GB on the horizon.........

Hi guys, Have done a search and it brings back over 200 results, best places for tyres on-line?? Need some Toyo Proxes T1-R's for both the Zed and the Elise.....
  11. +1 Do a search on 'Trader between £19-20k for a Zed and for a TT in a few mile radius - bet the TT's are off the page!!!
  12. Very nice Now lets see the engine bay!!
  13. Apart from Nissan GB who restrict Zed numbers......
  14. Dunno then! Maybe they are exceptions as it's not going to be too tough to work out whether it was Bugatti Veyron a) or in the country that went past you at 180mph officer!!
  15. They probably sit the plates on the dash or something? I reckon it's the owner of this place - http://www.irdy.com.ph/profile.htm Not footballers, would've been more than two and as rich as we think they are, they're not that loaded. Even Becks is 'only' worth £16m with all his media stuff. Can't see him shelling out £800k + on a car in the wrong country..... Very jealous though Andy, not many people will see one out of a museum.

One thing's for sure, Mr Bangle certainly divides the masses!! Doesn't matter what it looks like, for me it's the badge that puts me off. Certainly different design but also one that manages to blend in. We all move on with cars, otherwise I'd still be driving a 997cc powder blue Fiesta!!
  17. Is there somewhere called Just Ice somewhere near you? They might be able to help.
  18. Sounds like a good start, glad you like it!
  19. Hi mate Still with the purple for the time being!! I have picked up my metal front cover but I have a few issues with it and need to try it on the engine first before I spend the time getting it up to powder coating standard - a lot of work I might add. I have not completely written it off but it is not what I wanted to be fair. i have found a guy who does ally welding and says he could make on in aluminum but he wanted a LOT more cash. I may well have to go down this route and get a custom one made up that does not try and replicate the original. i also have a nice blingy oil filler cap and plenty of ideas to keep me going in the cold winter months. I will keep you posted mate. Ming the sleepy PS Hows your gearbox? Is it going to need a replacement? I find out this week on the gearbox. They cancelled my appointment last week as they had a guy off sick. They've got a list of things to do from squeaking body kit, through corroding wheels and scuffed leather through to the gearbox. Needing to make sure that's all done before I throw anything under that sheet of aluminium....... Hope all else is well. I'm off to hit some golf balls in the New Forest, enjoy!

Sod em Kev, wave the £30 goodbye and keep on going. People can slag cars off all they like, it ain't gonna change people's opinions, because they're exactly that. Real world here IMO.
  21. So how's the colour change going Ming?? Still heading down that route?? I think I'm finally done on my theme, just collecting the info needed now to get some of the things done and will start getting some details up.
