If you want to proper compete, don't go any further until you have a copy of rule books and judging sheets to know what they're looking for. Otherwise cost and pain will be incurred fixing it all after round one..... No better training than to compete.

I booked my flights with them down to the south of france for £86 all in. Cheaper than the budget places and I don't have to drive the Stanstead / Luton or some other back end of nowhere airport. Um, with one 10W7 in my car, it will hit 138db. You cannot sit in the car at that volume. Another idea - with the door open you can feel the rush of air out of the car as the bass hits, like a wind out of the car. You don't need two, it would be overkill. The dealer will want to sell you another as they will be getting good margin on it, as opposed to just labour. The thing to remember about the amp, it's not raw powwer, it is the way it delivers it and the control it has over the speaker. Smacking too much power to it will result in woolly bass. Don't get downheartened by your effort. TBH 6 hours is nothing in the scheme of doing an install. The number of man hours spent on mine was well into 3 figures.....

Have faith! Now imagine how much better the front speakers would sound if you did the same to the doors.... Not very practical. Don't think I could get trim off and then put back. Taking a sub-speaker out by 4 screws was about my limit. Unless you know a very easy and foolproof way ? True, it is a bit more of a job, but you can just remove the speaker from the door and not the whole door card..... Or get to a meet and get someone who has done it to help.
