  1. Awesome tribute. Proper car club the Scooby lot.
  2. I don't know for certain whether the TSB is time / model year boxed or not. It shouldn't make any difference really - showing them you know a bit about the history will make them realise they can't fob you off. This is the reason it is worth ringing other dealers nearby and asking to speak to the service manager to see if he recognises the problem and has done the work before. Don't mention the age of the car, ask whether they are aware of the issue. Once they admit it, then tell them you're bringing your car in for them to look at, and can one of their technicians (that has done the work before) come out with you for 5 mins while you show him. That's what I did, when I got back they booked the car in for the following week to have the work done
  3. Go in and tell them you know for a fact the a TSB (Technical Service Bulletin) (IIRC) has been issued by Nissan Motors GB regarding the syncromesh in 350Z gearboxes. Say you are also aware of a number of owners who have had the work done, and ask if they have done any warranty repairs at all on 'box's. If they say no, you don't want a novice working on your gearbox anyway, so walk away. It is worth a drive to a dealer that both acknowledges it and has done it. If you need any documentation on what is replaced etc. I have details.
  4. Yep. There won't be a huge difference, just a subtle variance in the light.
  5. Age and mileage?? Looks lovely, but who the hell can service something like that??
  6. So (as a minimum) should we all try and aim to be there for the Sunday if possible? Will check to see what Becca wants to do and then decide if Saturday is possible too.
  7. Looking forward to it. What days are people going from here? I am thinking Saturday and / or Sunday.
  8. From the title, I thought this thread was going to be about Stew's favourite past-time
  9. Some good news! Not a thread about carjacking / selling / scuffs / damage / insurance costs!

  13. Might be worth getting some pics up
  14. Only counsel regarding Chipsaway and their repairs on things like this, they don't often re-lacquer it. This means in the light, the repair sticks out quite a lot. A friend of the family runs a franchise and tries to avoid doing big bits of painting. Sorry to hear about the scrape. It is annoying and expensive when it happens.
  15. Give this lot a go - http://www.polishedbliss.co.uk/acatalog ... -kits.html
  16. That sucks. Hope they catch the b@stards.
  17. Nice effort, and fair play for trying to improve the image when turning up for shoots. Get yourself a clay bar and some polish and a sealant and give the interior a good going over and then it will be dead easy to maintain. In fact, drive it down here, I'll detail it, you do me a load of photos of me Zed!
  18. Pretty much sums it up! Give the man a pat on the back!
  19. Sorry to hear this but if you are going to have non-locking ones and run it with them on day to day be prepared to lose a set on a regular basis. I eventually gave up and only put my fancy dust caps on for meets and special occasions. Shame it has to come to that. +1 - sorry to hear it but it is the way of the world....
  20. 20 inch nitrogen filled tyres won't come down much if at all. The zed is technologically light years behind the GT-R. Its supercar performance and supercar maintainence costs. Agreed, but most of that has got to be the nitrogen and specialist equipment in fitting the things. I suppose if you want to beat 911 Turbos you can't have it all at half price! I think this nitrogen thing as been over blown, a local tyre outlet close to me as been giving this as an option for years for just a few quid extra. But the GT-R's tyres are runflats That's to do with the sidewall, not what they're filled with (or not when they're flat!)
  21. Given it appears a genuine sale and not a ringer, we're happy for it to run in the interests of the members.
