  1. I may have to pull out of this. Looks like a weekend of work unfortunately, but will know more tomorrow.
  2. I think we're going to have to insert row nunber 4 on the 'useful posts from Sarnie' list! +1
  3. I would say similar. Concours cars are the 'originals' and how the car show kicked off. I would add rare, sought after cars to the modified cars too though. The problem is that once 'modified' is put in the title, the quality can be sorely lacking....
  4. Just not true, Rob. From last month's EVO's choices:- Supermini - Fiat Panda 100HP Hot Hatch - Megane R26 Small Coupe - Zed Sports Saloon - M3 Big Saloon - M5 4X4/Estates - M5 Touring Sports Cars - Boxster Coupes/GTs - GT-R Convertibles - XKR Supercars - Ferrari 599GTB IIRC their best handling FWD car was a Teg. I could go on.... Without going back and looking at other cars they include in the categories, I'm not sure what the summaries mean. But 30% of them go to BMW, so I'm not wrong there! I am referring to the articles themselves, and the constant references to '3 series' this and '911' that. Just as I find it. I love cars with a passion, but I just find their reviews predictable. Rather less predictable of late - R8 trumps 911, GT-R trumps R8... I suspect the BMWs are there because they are the best in class. Clearly you don't like the mag and that's fine but there really isn't a German/overpriced bias beyond the fact that the Germans make a lot of mighty fine cars. Maybe you have an anti-German bias... No anti German bias at all, I'd love many Mercs and even the odd Audi. As I say, it is just as I find it, and I have not read it for a good 12 months on that basis. If it has changed, so be it. I may not have any affection for BMW, granted. It was just in the little articles and reviews of any new car, I felt the references were OTT.

Yep, not enough interest to make it a stand unfortunately, and with the weather I didn't head up. You'll be at Donny though I assume??

    That Astra is brilliant!
  8. he quotes the other 350z forum ;-) i have met the owner before, top guy Mr Grant!! Why the misquote??
  9. Just bought some of this. I notice the centre parts of the seats are perforated. Does this cause a problem with the cleanser blocking up the holes and remaining visible or does it all get absorbed into the leather? Cheers My advice is to put the product on the bolsters first, then use what remains in the cloth to do the perforated bits. Don't apply too much pressure when doing the perforated bit and do it a couple of times - then you shouldn't end up with product in the holes
  10. I've always said the EVO lot are biased to anything German and overpriced. Respected as drivers, maybe. I have no respect of their opinion as it always come back with the same answer - Porsche, BMW or the expensive one....
  11. The person who filmed it will be shot by the mafia now. It can't be doing to have evidence that proves nothing wrong happened....
  12. Welcome to the club For £11k you'd get a newer import or early UK car. Although in this buyers market you could get an offer accepted from someone needing to get rid.... Only difference between them is spec, but that's explained in the FAQ section As for looks against an R26 - no comparison. Performance, you'd have a bigger grin on your face with a Zed when you get out..... (to wait for the Megane to arrive). Reliability, for the performance they really are very good. Expect to pay no much more than £300 inclusive for the biggest service, and more like £120-£170 for the basic. Take a look in the for sale section or get along to a meet. Plenty of people on here like to show off!
  13. I was thinking more along the lines of a car(Mclaren) to car(Ferrari) missile system Or go cpmpletely the other way and booby trap their garage before the mechanics get there at the race weekend. Proper Home Alone style. Glue - fan - feathers type stuff!
  14. Sounds like people have tried to help - hope the replacement all goes well
  15. It's getting to the point that they might as well do something actually worth getting punished for! Punching Max Moseley's lights out must be up there....
  16. Nice one. Looks like a good day.
