Hi folks Lately my exhaust has been making some stange noises. In fact, ever since I Autosol'd it really - perhaps I have dislodged something..? It's always resonated a bit, especially at high revs. But now I get an occasional 1600-1700 rpm resonance. (cold idle) It sounds like the system is just barely touching something metallic..? Anyone else had this? With the pants weather I've not had a chance to check the rear underside

Long Shot, but does anyone have a SE K750i phone?

Just looking for some advice, as I can't get a straight answer from the stoopid tinternet Basically I need to know if it does/has the following; 1. USB Cable in the box 2. Mem Card in the box 3. MP3 Ringtones 4. Address Book Management via the USB to PC As I say, long shot but you never know. K And yes, I know this will never work with the car kit

remember, it's not about giving your life for your country, it's about making the enemy give theirs... (Can't remember who said that )

we have a standard garage on our house, and the Zed fits comfortably. Well, when I say comfortably You can get the car in, but the passenger needs to exit first, as I need to put the car against one side in order to get out myself - which aint easy when you have doors like this Generally I have very limited space at the opening, maybe (as someone has said) 10cm(ish) each side with the mirrors in their usual position. Do the usual, wood blocks at the front, and a cheap rug pinned to the wall to protect the door handle. Should be fine

Coming from a Scooby I had to at least try the WRX before getting the Zed. I was hoping for quite a bit, and predictably I was hugely disappointed. It didn't feel as fast as my Turbo, plus I worked out that I would have needed to spend £1500 getting it to the same standard as my old Turbo. Needless to say although I had the demo car booked out for 3 hours I was back within 25 mins saying "er, no thanks". Aside from that nothing else really got me going that much. The RX8 is too fashionable for me, too much going on with it. Plus you have to explain wankel every ten seconds. S2000 perhaps, ok, good car, but not really my driving style to be honest. I prefer the lazy power option. In the end I just fancied the Zed really

looks good to me folks So are we saying 8:15 then..? I feel I shoud mention that there is a small chance that I will need to make a trip to Scotland this weekend. (family stuff - timing ) But I should be there! M56 J14 - will need to print this thread I reckon
-
great Ah well, only £35 more a year than now IIRC?
-
what time are we meeting again, I thought 9.30 but looking at the times that seems to be a tad late Deffo should be there, if only to give two fingers to the Scoobynet lot
-
Ah yes, but look at the options... 1. RX8 - consumes oil like water, and far too common. Plus, you'll have to explain the wankel theory on a regular basis. 2. S2000 revs to 27,342rpm - which will be brilliant fun for all of 4 seconds... Just kidding, both cool cars
-
Nice But if we're talking armoured vehicles, then it's AS90 for me, 3 rounds in ten seconds - oh yeah!

Well, that's a plan So difficult to relax though, we you start to think about the complexity of these things. It doesn't help being part of the aerospace industry. One one hand you see the amount of work that goes into a piece of kit, the endless testing and severe overengineering. But on the other hand you realise how much effort it takes to get the aircraft in the air, and the plethora of people involved with that process. (Of course in the military sector, there's usually a very good backup handle ) Plus, watching 'seconds from disaster' on Sky doesn't help When we were flying to the Dom Rep a couple of passengers were noticing some goo oozing from the top flap track assemby area. I'm pretty sure essential bits are coloured, fuel, hydraulics etc so I guessed it was antifreeze left over from our spraying at Manchester. I was very impressed that the Captain came down (to syncronised passenger 'ooohs') to investigate and put people at ease. I'm back on the company 146 next week, so that will be 45 mins of fun. Still, it's pretty much a go kart compared to the 757 Anybody got any chill pills? Gravity eh? What a pain in the ass
-
Well, if that doesn't keep you focussed, nothing will You flyboys are nutters
-
I do indeed! Cool... I flew to the Dom Rep with FC just before Christmas, have to say it was pretty good stuff. The flight back was a real pain, as we had to make several course changes and ran into some reasonable turbulence. Weirdly, it has kind of put me off flying! Seriously, I can't even get on the company aircraft (a 146) now without having a slight brown-trousers episode. As therapy I went off to look at the new Airbus assemblies at work, which didn't help at all - i just reassured me as to how complicated these things are... Any tips..? Dave. ps. And quite how Nick can spend hours aloft in that Puma is beyond me
-
Ah, the 'bright' switch - I remember it well. Looked like it was designed for a truck or something
-
Couldn't help notice one of those is a First Choice aircraft..? Don't suppose you work for them do you?

Now that's a cool job After a couple of years working around nuclear boats (easy enough, just make sure the water is on the outside ) I've moved over to the air side. Now trying to ensure Typhoon doesn't fall from the sky...

Having done a fair few miles this week, I managed to see no less than 6 Aston Martins on my travels. I've come to the conclusion that they are obviously 'on special' or there's a token in the Times or something Anyway, actually saw 1 Zed, and that was it These things are pretty exclusive
-
Not hugely far from the M25, I was in the silver E Class behind you for a while Damn, they look good from the rear
-
It's exactly the same key as the Micra, as I spent 10 mins trying to blip the Zed with the wife's keys last week Interestlingly, one of mine has packed up, collecting a new one today under warranty.

brilliant stuff - is that a Puma..? Not too good with rotary wing (40,000 parts flying in loose formation) I had an interview a while with GKN Westland, and it was nice to see the Apache and all that. Ended up working for BAE, so now end up looking at mostly fixed wing stuff Nice pics though matey

have I missed something here? So you are saying that no matter how fast the plane travels (i.e thrust generated) the conveyor matches the speed? If so, then the plane is theoretically stationary despite running at full power? (as if it's on a rolling road is easier to relate) Every reaction has an equal and opposite and all that, so the thrust generated is cancelled by the opposing motion of the conveyor belt. So, the plane will in fact never get off the ground, due to, as already stated, lack of lift. I hope. Could be quite embarrasing if I get this one wrong
