Yup....and won the VLN24 last year in the RSR.

Rick, its a rather well known Mk 1 996 GT3 on the porker circles. And might also be the most well looked after example I have seen. Its a polar silver car that he has had vinyl wrapped. Looks the bollocks. The MR stands for Manthey Racing, a tuning company based at Nurburgring. It has got a K400 kit, ie power upped to 400bhp from 360. That particular car has also got a lot of very interesting mods (almost all improve its performance one way or another) and goes like @*!# off a shovel. It has had an absolute fortune spent on it. Its more pampered than the most pampered thing in pampered land. Often very quick on track days. It helps that he is a pretty handy wheel man. Chap who owns it posts as polarexpress on PH and various porker forums. Top bloke.

For those of you that use PDAs for sat nav, what do you use for mounts? And where do you buy them? I used the cubby on the Z, havent really needed it much in the Fiesta, but have absolutely no place to put it in the Pork. Any help would be much appreciated.

Hmm...sorry for bothering people, but need some advice on this one. On a recent night out after a long day at work (finish at 2100), I drove into town with my colleagues and parked up on a quiet road in a slot (later discovered it was disabled one...bad of me, I know). Proceeded to dinner and after having my first drink decided it was best to just leave the wheels in town and make a night of it. Was not at work the next day, so thought I would get up early and get the car first thing so as to not get hit by the parking demons, oops wardens. Got home late, suitably drunk etc etc. and then managed to wake up at 0730 (unbelievable) to jog into town (3ish miles) and arrived at car to watch a not very good and helpful person sticking a penalty notice on the car (now 0807). Remonstrated etc etc., he handed the ticket to me, said I could appeal if I wanted to. I asked on what basis, got a mumbled answer and he then took pics of the car without any ticket on. The law abiding citizen I am, I accepted I had cocked up and paid the fine. I did intially plan on writing a letter along the lines of "Dear money grabbing c***s...", but never got around to it. Circa 1 months later, get a letter in the post informing me that I now owe the council 90 pounds for not paying my parking ticket. Looking at this delightful piece of letter writing, I notice that it is for a ticket issued the night I parked illlegally, as against the one I watched being issued the next morning. Incidentally, this ticket was issued at 2137 hours (That is 0937 pm). Now, who but a ****ing, blood sucking, money grabbing, theiving, scumbagging **** would be out at 2130 at night handing out tickets??? I am going to write a letter explaining, I was out that night and left my car in town. Idid make a mistake by parking in a disabled slot, but, I have already paid for the offence. Also, I have not received the other notice (ie. it was not on my car) and I know the picture I watched being taken will back me up. Anyway, that brings me to my quandry, what should I do? Do I have a leg to stand on?

Need some help. Planning on getting a decent zoom lens to augment the (pretty shitty) 18-55 lens that came with my 350D. What would be a decent one to get? I mostly take landscape pics, but would also like to use this lens for taking pics at trackdays etc. Im prob asking too soon as I dont plan to buy one atleast until July, but getting lots of info cant be a bad thing, can it? Also, would it be cheaper to buy the lens in the US?

If you hated the F430, you'll hate my GT3. No/ very few creature comforts and AC. How about a Superleggy??? Or go backwards, get a 360 CS/ 996 GT3 RS for fun and a Golf GTI/ S3/ Leon as a daily hack. Or **** all of that, get a F430 Scuderia.

Which brings us to the question, where does one go from (Gallardo?)world? F430? Superleggy? Pray tell. PS: Like I said, I can see why you thought it was strange, no offense taken.

Guy, dont know the car and thought the same of the wheels. However, they look soooo much better in the flesh, its unbeleivable. Agree about the weight though. Heavy as.

Are they ATDO affiliated/ certified? Are you doing this? If so, Id definitely be up for it. Got to learn to drive the new baby.

Haha...I wish too. Its a Mk 1 GT3 Clubsport (hence the rollcage!), one of 2 - 3 in Guards Red and one of 25 sold in UK! PS: More pics when I get some more! Only done the "let's quiz everyone" ones this far.

Great car Kev!!! Love the colour. Some Orange ones around where I live, wish I could get one. Just been visiting here on the sly for a few days and was wondering if you were still driving the BM. For sale as above. Wheels: black spokes with polished lip, some kerbing on the right rear one which has been repaired, but cant be repaired to perfection. Kerbing on left front as well, which I will repair before sale. Tyres: Have done 3K miles on them and have got loads of tread left. Both have spent winter in the cellar. Looking for 1200 ono. I cant post pics for some reason, so if you are interested, pm me your email address and I will email pics.
