  5. i do find peoples opinions funny; basing decisions on no actual driving experience of a car. The zed is not god of the car world, but many on here are deluded about that fact. yes the zed is a great car but it is not the automotive equivalent to the meaning of life. i actually miss 4 pot engines, on the track my old 1.8 mr2 would give the zed a good run for its money. to say the s2000 is a step down is wrong. power to weight ratio is about the same as the zed. 0-60 is only 0.5 of a second different. for me the zed is a GT car, the s2000 is a sports car. i've loved the zed and still do and yes i will miss it, but it doesn't make the stook any less of a car. i like its styling and i like its cabin. this thread is not meant to be about your narrow minded opinions of the car, its for useful information for me to find out form people who actually know about that car to help me. if you want to have an uneducated rant about a car, go do it in my other thread.
  6. yep it was me looking at the rx7's but decided my pockets weren't deep enough think the stook is going to be the happy medium. am going to try and test drive on at the weekend to get a better idea. just depends on how my plans go. if not will have to wait a week and maybe try one evening once the GCSE exam is out the way for my subject.
  7. get your point demo, just going on the info i previously had. i don't follow the GTR stuff as i'm not interested, so i suppose my info is a little out of date. that original price was for a dealership replacement box. how much did samurai spend to get that power? are these services available in the UK? appreciate the GTR for what it is, but if i had the money, i;d spend a bit more than the GTR and get a lambo Gayardo. its a dream car. unlike the GTR.
  8. Cos he's hesitating.......................
  9. just cos you have the power doesn't mean you have to or want to drive it like you stole it all the time.
  10. fair do's your entitled to your opinion, but then your coming from a posisiton of owning an M3 and a lambo, as well as the Zeds. for you an S2000 is majorly in the wrong direction. i've come from mk3 mr2 roadsters and civics i like the high rev engines, yes the zed torque is good, but you can have just as much fun in an s2000. this move isn't so much a step up, more a move across. apart from the finances i have become a little disheartened with the zed. things like mods taking 8 months to arrive. not being able to drop the roof like on my old mr2, having done so many mods that i won't let anyone near it. and the fact that i've done everything i wanted to with the car. the s2000 move gives me everything i want and money in the bank. any ways this thread is about info on the s2000 not if you like it or not, if you want to post a narrow point of view, go do it on my winds of change thread.
  11. some of the stats i'm reading say about 35 mpg, maybe more, depending on how you drive. combined useage is about 28 mpg and urban is something like 25 mpg. being that my combined is about 24 mpg at the moment thats not to bad
  12. i actually like the idea of a cramped cabin may sound strange, but hoping it might give more of that F1 race car feel
  13. thats a really nice yellow one
  14. looks interesting. need to get back on mw2 and complete the last few levels to prestige
  15. my concern with the GTR is its built to a budget, and all those parts are being pushed to their limits. a gear box is well over 15k its fitted with a black box, if you buy one 2nd hand and still in warranty but the previous owner used launch control and then the engine blows when you have it. the warranty is void due to the launch control usage. theres the issue of minor impacts setting off the detonating pins in the hood. wasn't that like a 10K fix. i think nissan have done a great job with the car but it is in my opinion built right on the edge of their capabilities and the cars engineeering capabilities. if i had the cash i'd have the LFA love the dash in it, but th eLFA is hugely over priced for what it is

    20mm spacers

yep, your being retarded remove pin, fit spacers job done
  17. yep all red is abit ummmm red
  18. yeah already figured that. but it did look nice. that and the aftermarket alloys and the fact that it might be a mugen version (need to get some more pics) made it very tempting. loved the red body work as well, the only down side was its an import. will have to see if its still available in a few weeks.
  19. Yeah cheers Chris, shame we never got to meet up Im only tentative selling..... When I really want to get rid I will put it on Auto Trader at 9k.... I sold 7 cars in a year and a half on there before I found the Zed... im just dragging my heels so I can tell the Mrs im trying doing it all wrong, over price it, so no one buys it then reduce when your ready to sell. that way you can show her the autotrader add and say "i'm trying hunny but no ones interested "
