  1. was my answer not good enough then
  2. HOLY COCKWEASELS BATMAN! Dude, I've been waiting forever to find someone else who doesn't like TVR interiors, I thought I was the only one! I know they're minimalist and stylish and beautiful, and yet I really can't stand them in the slightest. Chim, Grif, Tuscan, Sag... They're all fugly to me. you phrased it better than me i was just being tactful, as they just to me, to much leather, funny colours used, not enough dials and buttons and switches. as its the one place you see more of in the car than anything else, you really need to like where your sat. and for me its the one turn off of the TVR

    My Zed

    what camera are you using?
  4. Same should go for you Hurry up & get on with it on an FI point, supercharging the S2000 is only about 3K possibly less if you do it yourself, but no its not a route i plan to take.
  5. thanks for that, have heard the brakes are a weak spot on the stook. been looking at pads etc on s2ki and from what i've seen everything seems so much cheaper than for the zed. looked at ds2500 pads for the S and the also do endless ones for a very good price. not disimiliar in price to what zed owners pay for yellow stuff pads on here.
  6. i think it was mark that said the DE engine is better for tuning, but like you said marks the best person to give a definitive answer
  7. for me TVR's interiors i find a bit off putting, but then i've only ever seen pictures, would need to see one in th eflesh, they just look a bit...err.... kit carish like inside.

loving th epictures, might have to come visit you and buster and get you both to take some new pictures of my new car
  9. cheers for the heads up, well aware of the honda twitch on the s2000, learnt alot form my old MR2 roadster which iwas just as if not more twitchy. will definitly be taking it steady in the wet and the after wet and the damp etc etc etc most of what others have said on s2ki is you only ever crash if you drive stupidly in those conditions. will find out for real at some point i suppose. saving grace is the car does have good tyres on so will help.
  10. a small cricket? there is a cog assembly on the shaft of the CV joint, my guess is something to do with that. and the lack of grease, what ever is menat ot touch on it, instead of being kept quiet by grease is now audible due to no grease.
  11. N normally stands for copies, V is normally for original gear. as for the 1's and 2's, i don't know? chilli red might be able to shed light on it
  12. its like the euro referendum. your irish so you can;t vote on the uk issue you'll have to do your own referendum on biscuit ban, and it will mean i'm only banned in ireland
  13. yeah headers tend to make a mssive difference to an engine noise. they did on my old mr2 roadster. completely transformed the engine noise. made it alot more aggressive and louder. but that was a different car.
  14. i didn't think there was one thought they even used the same side skirts. though the only major changes were when they went to V3 nismo
  15. i've learnt alot from the zed, my days of bodykits are over. the most i'll do at some point will be an exhaust, filter and wheels. wheels would be a long way off, its got goodyear eagle F1's all round at the mo with about 8mm on the front and about 5mm on the rear. rears will need doing in the next 12 months, but most likely will just get another set of eagle f1's as they are good tyres and in that size, not hugely expensive. exhaust wise, again i'll wait probably 6-12 months to see what i like, at the m oment stock is actually very aggressive, with the roof down its already very good. and same with stock in take. honda already use a cone filter in the stock airbox. so messing around with that seems a little pointless. there are some alternatives for more noise, but i need to drive it for a while to see if its really needed. having a modding brak for now actually feels really good.
  16. agree with Ian, avoid the japspeed header unless you plan to get something like the motordyne xyz pipe instead of usual y pipe. reason being that they have built in decats, and come mot time you'll either need an understanding mot centre or an alternative way of putting a cat back in like the xyz pipe. personally i'd go with well know brands. if the welds go its a good 12 hours of labour to swap them over. if not more. and at a minimum of 35 quid an hour your looking at minimum of about 420 quid fitting cost. budget that ontop of the header as well. with some your looking at nearly a grands worth of outlay for a possible 6 - 10 bhp at most thats about 100 pound per bhp. not massivly cost effective.
  17. somthing like that AFAIK the HR tunes up a lil better than the DE due to reving higher so should give you the kinda power the Z deserves. thought it was the other way round, the DE gets more gains from its starting point, but the HR ends up higher just because it starts higher up in the first place.
  18. Glad I'm not the only one then. I always say the motorway is where the Zed really comes into it's own, it's very comfortable at 70 the zed does cruise beautifully, its what it was designed for
  19. most likely the CV joints. if you have the passenger window down and drivers side up can you still hear it. if you only hear it with drivers side down and passenger up then its the drivers rear side. is it only on pull away at low speeds if so its rear cv joints. if its on braking i think its the drop links. cheap fix is a re grease and rotate parts for one side are about 50 squid i think. complete new cv joint is over 200. thats one side only. if its both sides, unlikely though then double those costs.
  20. i like the setup, looks very stealth. only thing i would say is its almost screaming for 2 snorkles right in front of them for direct flow, shame that would spoil the look of the front of the car. they do seem well sheltered in there. am i right in remembering that you have exhaust plans at some point? think the combination between the 2 will be very nice
  21. you tube might give you a good starting point. i had a true dual but it wasn't uber loud. mine was the invidia dc sports is mean to be good. decats might help although i found it starts to get more raspy, HFC's are a better compromise.
  22. if i get banned for stook owner ship, what happens to digsy for mx5 ownership? or sarnie for non zed ownership? are they getting banned as well? or is this just an antistookist movement. is it cos its black?
  23. rear arch is double skinned, but from what nixy said its still a fixable dent. just check on the person doing it. not all use the same techniques. also check for clicky axles, wind both windows down, and pull away, if you hear any clciking it will need the CV joints sorting. its not a critical problem, and can be driven for ages like that. it may just be something you want to sort at some point
