  1. I used a custom exhaust place but they were a longlife exhaust affiliate. The question is not the supplier its the fitter that makes all the difference.

I used demand engineering in Suffolk and they mandrel bend and tig weld all their work. I have heard that powerflow does use full stainless for all their parts. Longmire do and offer a lifetime warranty on it too.

  2. As Heff said, she was in the allowance margin, someone is telling you porkies Will

Sent from my Zed using Nangkang tyres front, RE040's rear

But surely if she was doing 38 then they would do her for 32 taking into account the allowance, is that how it works. ?

If not then I'll kick my mate Trev's ass for telling me porkies, as he was supposed

to be on the same speed awareness course with her. :surrender:

the speed at which she got done for would be the speed the camera read. Regardless of what her speedo said. She would have been told the speed she was doing. And because she "apparently" got done for 32 its highly unlikely as it doesn't match with the rules that heff posted earlier. Now if she got done and was adamant she was only doing 32. Then her speedo os very broken. If you know you have an accurate speedo it technically means you can do say 77 in a 70 and not get pulled.
  3. These tend to be the stereotypical views:

if your male and sleep with a teacher your seen as a legend by your mates

fathers might possibly see their son as some kind of champ if a little displeased

I think sometimes its seen that its not the womans fault that they feel to the mature charms of a young student.

but when it comes to young girls under the legal age, males are seen as predatory, perverted, sick etc.

parents are shocked that their little girls have been defiled by the older male. that there is no way the girl made the move that the male must have forced themselves on them etc.

its not dissimilar attitude towards rape and other gender based crimes.

of course this is not always the case there are cases of female teachers who have been fully prosecuted under the law.

  4. 32 in a 30 they would never prosecute for

Charging guidelines make allowances for speed limit + 10% + 2mph to allow for discrepancies with speedos

Yes I'm sure they had already applied that calculation and the answer was 32..!! :surrender:

but the rule of 10% means you can legally do 33 in a 30, 44 in a 40 55 in a 50 etc etc etc the lowest you'd get a ticket is 34
  5. I was also looking at the audi S3 at the same time as looking at the pug. Might be worth a look. Haldex 4wd great 5 cylinder engine and turbo'd

    under 4k????

34 cars on auto trader, admittedly all 100k+ mileage. But these days that's an engine just warn in. If mileage isn't an issue you could spend half your budget
  6. that's my route to work, or part of it. I head out to Framlingham every morning there are several regular places they like to visit. If your local to the area its well known where they hide. But its also well signposted what the speed is. And that stretch you talk of is a 40 past a school where there is only one crossing with lights and its used by students. It also happens to be my last place of employment.

Best advice is stick to the speed limit, can be tempting when it goes to 2 lanes, and traffic often does speed up on that stretch. I've just had to remind myself every day to watch the needle and not follow the flow of traffic.

  7. I've never been hit on as a teacher,

But that's because I'm ugly

but I bet you've been hit :headhurt:

been threatened a couple of times, but I generally can't take a 15 year old seriously when they try to be threatening. Its like watching a care bear get angry.

Spent some of my career working in a PRU. So generally these days there isn't a lot that phases me.

  8. I had an S2k GT with hardtop a few years back, worst car I ever owned. Seats were so hard and such a limited range it adjust them, everything was cheap plastic inside and I ended up taking the hardtop off as all it did was rattle, drove

me mad. That was a low miler with FHSH.

Performance was totally different, very revvy and you had to rev the bits off it to get anywhere with it, was so disappointed in that car for what they build it up to be, sold it after 2 months as it did my back in.

The 350 is nice and torquey, much better build quality imho with all the toys as standard on a GT. Definitely try and test drive a couple of each car and make your mind up as they are so different honestly.

Plenty of nice 350z's around for your budget, have a good look and take your time to find the one you want. As you say, service history is very important on any of these types of car, not necessarily full dealer but at least a good history with quality parts used and things like brake fluid and gear box oil changes, tyres are expensive as I am sure you know!

my opinion would be completely the opposite. Found the zed awful. Poor interior, dull to drive, but loved the S2k.

Hence why I said opinions are useless, personal choice is what matters here.

  9. Personal choice. One mans steak is another mans offal. Personal opinion wont help you. Drive both and make your own mind up.

lol years on and it doesnt change does it.

    nope
