  1. Please do update here with what they offer and if you end up going for it - not far from me and something I would consider for the right price. As for the Chromecast - I done some digging and looks like it has been done a couple times before. Seems you need to ground out some wiring (or get a kit and plug that into the headunit) in order to allow the video to work whilst the handbrake is off. The remainder is mostly a series of appropriate connectors/converters to switch the RCA to HDMI (into which the chromecast would plug in). The chromecast running would require you to tether it to your phone, as Evans mentioned. Seems like it may be a good alternative, although I assume small things such as wanting to switch tracks on spotify (using steering/headunit controls) likely wouldn't work whilst casting (and you would instead need to do that through your phone). Theres also another forum post...from another forum...won't share as not sure if allowed...
  2. Still available mate? And is that including postage 😅
  3. Build one? As long as you're happy with a square/rectangular setup, is pretty straight forward...and generally works out a fair bit cheaper. Made one a few years back out of MDF from B&Q (even got them to cut it to size for me). Glue some carpet on there to tidy it up and bobs your uncle!
  4. In regards to the original post - I think this is something to do with the way Android itself is set up. Doesn't (for whatever reason) allow for media transfer/playback via the "charge port" (ie. through a USB C/micro USB - will only work via AUX). Spent ages looking into this a couple years back when I moved from my iPhone to OnePlus as I was having the same problem.
  5. Just as a heads up - Nissan themselves offer the key for a touch over 200 quid (think it was 210 or something, don't have the invoice to hand). Supposed to take around 3 days to arrive, but I'm still sat here a week later....
  6. Hey guys Looking to get "jap-style"/"bike" plates for my 370z, but I'm somewhat unsure how they would look on the rear of the car. Images I'm finding online show US plates/Jap plates, but after doing some digging it seems that the sizes may be different to what would be possible with standard UK sized lettering - Given I'd ideally be looking to have standard lettering (and not smaller) I'm unsure if the plate would fit in the rear bumper recess....or even look good for that matter.... Essentially I would want the plate laid out like the below; Does anyone here currently run a plate like this and/or have pictures of it on a 370?
  7. Only my 2nd post here, but seeing your location I couldn't help but say hi...nice to see someone else from the area :P Might see me about in a few months once I get my 370z fixed up
  8. Apologies for the rather menacing sounding thread title, but I recently purchased a damaged 370z and if possible wanted to get in touch with the previous owner (at the time the car was written off). I understand that the previous owner may not want to get in touch at all (which I can fully appreciate), but thought I would try my luck as I want to get a better understanding of the work already done to the vehicle. Given the sensitive nature of this, I'm only going to outline a description of the vehicle in case the owner does not want to get in touch. The 370z in question is a silver GT spec vehicle, recently MOT'd (April 2019) and I assume written off shortly after. The car appears to have a full titanium exhaust setup (manifold all the way through) including a cat-back Invidia. Wheels are wrapped in Pilot Sport 4S all round with decent tread. Paintwork is stunning - looks to have been regularly detailed as there isn't a paint swirl in sight. As mentioned the car was purchased from a salvage auction for personal use (once fixed up of course!). The damage on the vehicle is to the passenger front corner. Entire corner suspension damaged with the wheel off too. Looking at the car, it appears there may have recently been some work done to the bottom end of the engine. Given the condition of the car and the fact the vehicle (other than the exhaust) appears to be mostly stock (again, I feel as if some engine work has recently been undertaken, given the condition of the seals on the underside), I am of the impression that the previous owner was almost definitely an enthusiast and possibly on the forums. I have already done some searches but have been unable to locate any details online. As mentioned already, I can fully appreciate if the owner is not willing to get in touch with me. If you are aware of who the owner is, please do not publicly post this - rather can I request for you to get in touch with the previous owner with a link to this thread so they can decide for themselves if they wish to get in touch. I'll keep an eye on my PMs. Mods - I'm unsure if this is something which would be allowed on the forums, but if not, please delete this thread. EDIT: Just thought I would add that the mileage of the car is c.50k
