    Fan shroud

Yeah not really worth it I’ll just get the TYC fan shroud instead. Shame there’s not an “upgrade” fan shroud for the HR

    Fan shroud

I was looking at buying them but checked here first so didn’t buy them in the end. No just standard HR rad. A lot lot of effort for not really much gain isn’t it? but I spose it would be good to do and could help other members do it

    Fan shroud

Ah damn, I was reading a post that said the 03-06 fits the hr too guessing their wrong
  6. Price drop to £8.3k adding to many miles on it now

    Fan shroud

Wondering if anyone is selling a mishimoto fan shroud?
  8. As I’m a young driver and my insurance is high I tried for 3 weeks different times of the day and night, running around 3 quotes a day and the difference is crazy. I was first offered a good quote 1.8k and accepted it. Kept doing the quotes and by the time of the renewal I had got it down another £100 in those 3 weeks just by getting quotes at different times of the day and night. Same insurer with different quotes each time and every time I rang them up and they just dropped the price to match it when I found cheaper. On the phone each time was the best price they could give me but then 3 days later I would ring up again with a better price from the same insurer. This was 2 years ago on my rx8 and using comparethemarket.

  11. Nice car out of budget and don’t want to go over really. I think I’d rather have the lotus evora over that
  12. Still can’t make my mind up, I’ve still got to wait till the zed sells so gives me time to think. I’m gonna need a while thinking Yeah not a bad looking car just doesn’t grab my attention but starting to realise nothing that grabs my eye is in my price range. How I love expensive taste :/
  13. this is what happens you don’t sleep properly combined with a lot of overtime at work, if anyone wants to use my new word feel free I don’t take responsibility if you look stupid though
  14. Yeah was stupid times for me, was caught doing 120 on a motorway and that’s only what they could prove apparently. As as for the 4c it’s a nice looking car and would be good for me but over budget like the R8 otherwise I would get the R8. The corvette is okay just left hand drive Im just trying to stay under 25k and don’t want to go anymore but thanks for the optionions
  15. Oh god lol I hate civics just remind me of teenagers in McDonald’s car parks. I know the new one is totally in a different league now but still don’t like it
  16. As said below I’ve heard a few times the A45 AMG is boring and I was interested in it before. I would something that has amazing handling but does make me think about test driving one. I’m not scared of pushing it to its limits hence 2 speeding ban for 110+ A car with a soul is a good way of summing up what I want. I currently have a 350z for a daily so you can tell I don’t need much room or anything that would define a daily driver for others such as good mpg or rear seats
  17. What’s the handling like on one of these? My mate did mention it the other day after seeing the Grand tour and got me thinking so could be a possibility.
  18. Yeah I get the value will go down drastically. The suspension was aftermarket. I believe the ome suspension was around 6k for a full set
  19. I was surprised when I looked as a brake set on a R8 is around 1-1.5k and the clutch was 2k. The only problem was the suspension as it tends to leek but a coil over set is 1.5k. I have my dad who owed a garage for many years and rebuilt a gt40 plus many others and all his contacts so won’t be to bad if I get into difficulty with it
  20. I do like the look of them but more of a crusier so I’ll pass on that one. Tbh I’ve never driven one but it’s the same as the Porsche I just don’t see a beemer that I like the look of :/ the Gtr is to much for maintenance costs for me. Im still looking at its hard to find something as good as the R8 as it’s a sports car but good daily at the same time just a shame on the price maybe I’ll save for another year or look for one that’s crashed and repairable just no frame damage
  21. Yeah I think Aston’s are out of mind as it’s a GT car. The evora I haven’t looked at that much so will have a better look into that one but as you say if a decent one is to much then that’s out too. Yeah I’ll see what I can do for test drives maybe a Porsche will change my mind when I drive it. As for the Gtr’s I thought they were a lot higher around the 30’s but seeing there that low I might have a look. I will he taking servicing costs and maintenance cost into account as well and I know the Gtr is bad for this thanks for the help guys gives me a few ideas but still not certain on a choice yet
  22. Thanks for the help guys The Astons have dropped a lot in value which made me think of it nearer to 25k budget then an R8. I woukd prefer to stay away from anything above 25k so the Alfa and F type are out for me. The 911 is a good shout and personally I think would make the best car for me just I really don’t like them Test driving one for me is difficult as I’m only 24 and look about 18 so dealerships don’t really trust me understandably though my other option is a written of Audi R8 and fix it up, I have the people behind me to do it and help if anything goes wrong but it’s just the risk. Dont like Bmw’s, lotus Evora I have been looking at which is on my mind. As for merc cars there are really nice and the c63 sounds amazing but not sure on the handling of these especially when it’s round the forest and nippy corners.
  23. Hi ladies and gents, im in need of ideas of a daily + performance car. It’s probably been covered a few times but I really can’t decide. I like going out with a few mates and going round the forest and backroads for a spirited drive with them + work is only round the corner from me a few miles but I do like the luxury’s in a car for a nice long drive. I have a few few ideas of an Aston Martin V8 vantage or Audi R8, personally I’m leaning towards the R8 as it’s more of a supercar then the AM. The only problem with the R8 is the price of 33k as I would have to finance a fair bit of that. What i want: - budget 25k -Doesn’t need room or spacious -doesnt need rear seats - handling needs to outdo an Rx8 and 350z - power I would like Atleast 250bhp at fly - needs ac and radio daily luxury’s, rules our stripped cars - don’t really like the 370z (sorry ) - would prefer something more exotic - would prefer something newer 2007+ Porsche not really sure on but not driven one, to common is the downside for me. Maybe a lotus? Any help would be muchly appreciated thanks in advance
  24. Hi, ladies and gents Time to sell my 2007 350z HR GT, reason for selling is decided to save for a house and get something better on fuel. I bought the zed in January 2017 and it is a GT model with steering wheel controls and heated seats. The car is on 87.7k miles and will rise due to daily driving. I have tried to keep the exterior standard and change bits underneath where it makes a difference, just my personal preference as I don’t really add body kits or anything along those lines. Always run on Shell V Power. 2 keys + 1 valet key Mod list: ENGINE: - Uprev (Horsham developments) 296bhp to 313bhp (switchable maps) standard, pops + bangs, valet, security - High idle fix (Horsham developments) - Hks panel filters - Gold thermal wrapped intake tubes (wrapped myself) - Bosch s5 0008 battery - Oil gallery gaskets replaced with new oil and coolant (Horsham developments) CLUTCH/GEARBOX - Extreme clutch kit with single mass flywheel - Hardrace poly transmission mount TYRES: - Brand new Michelin pilot sport 4 tyres all round in April SERVICING/DIFF BUSHES: - Diff and gearbox oil changed by Horsham developments + spark plug change - DIY radiator fan motor clean - Coolant changed 2017 by myself - 3x oil changes since I bought the car done by myself - Nothlane diff bushes - have oil, filter and sump plug ready and waiting for the next oil change, not due for 10k miles EXHAUST: - Toyosport backbox - Motordyne xyz pipe - Berks decats EXTERIOR: - 3D gel number plates (road legal passed mot with them on) - Folding mirror mod (forum) - number plate led lights - New headlight bulbs 10k brightness -Bosch aeroblade wipers - Clear front bumper reflectors - stubby ariel BRAKES: - Ferrodo ds2500 brake pads - Black diamond brake discs SUSPENSION: - Tein s tech lowering springs - Front underside supporting brace - W brace has been rust treated and hammerite painted - Eibach adjustable anti roll bars front + rear INTERIOR: Interior led lights - Repainted gloss black interior door handles (painted by myself) - Pioneer sph-da120 touch screen radio with steering wheel controls, Bluetooth and apple car play - Aluminium interior vent trim (forum) Just spent £1000 at Horsham developments to have Oil gallery gaskets replaced and a braided top clutch hose put on. The car is a daily driver so could use a few touch ups. Bad points: Front bumper needs a respray (common problem) Centre console has scratches (common problem) Slight bit of rust on passenger front fender (see photo) Wheels need a refurb Backbox has a rattle on heat shield due to toyosport poor fitment, you can switch to a different backbox or get the toyosport exhaust hanger welded so it sits properly with a rattle Crack in windscreen (see photos) I might sort some of these problems out myself depending how long I have the car, the windscreen I will get done under insurance. Mechancally this car needs nothing and has the common problems fixed. Bit of a touch up on the outside and it’ll be a wonderful car. Can’t see any problems with the car in the foreseeable future. I will include original cats for mot purposes and incase you want them back on Original radio included aswell (locked to car) Original suspension springs included I have a folder with reciepts for nearly everything bought on the car. I have some Purple HEL braided brake lines that I will include with the sale. Horsham developments will fit these and bleed the brakes for £200 Reg no: LV57 XOX (for any hpi or any other checks) Any car inspection welcome, you can bring a friend or mechanic with you to check the car over. Any HPI checks welcome Car is located in Southampton (so40) Pm me for my contact details PRICE - £8300 Don’t bother with stupid offers or part ex, I’m In no rush to sell Link for photos of the car: http://Luke350z.imgur.com http://imgur.com/a/mUpnbhx http://imgur.com/a/8Mr9bWR I will be taking more photos when I wash the car again and have better sunlight i have about 50 photos of the car so far, if anyone wants them and is having trouble viewing them I can send them through whatsapp or whatever you prefer Thanks Luke
