  1. Model: 2004 VQ35DE 81K Mods: K&N panel filter, Blox 1/2" spacer, Japspeed sports cats, Y pipe & K1 Exhaust on Shell Vpower Dyno: Dynapack (Abbey Motorsport) Really enjoyed myself at Abbey, Mark was welcoming as always and the difference is night and day. Input welcome
  2. Thats a real shame. Guess I'll have to look for a facelift bumper so I can have these then!
  3. So, while particularly bored on Sunday I thought Id make a list of every modifcation done so far. Was a little shocked by the end of it by just how much I'd done and spent Ive still got alot more planned but it goes a little like this Exterior Smooth N1 front bumper N1 sideskirts Chargespeed rear bumper LED Cannibus rear numberplate lights Smoothed boot 380rs spoiler 370z side indicators Carbon B pillars Rear 3 windows limo tinted Stubby ariel Facelift LED rear lights Depo rear lower lights Boltsbolts USDM conversion Factory HID Zenons 6K Nismo LMGT4S with yokohamas ADO8rs Resprayed in april 2017 WV2 paintcode Interior Ian doles boot devider Carbon door kickplates JVC double din touch screen including cabling and satnav Tan orange seats Tan orange gear gator Nismo Gearknob Metal dash vent trims Led interior lights Engine, Brakes & Suspension Meister R coilovers Stillen toe bolts Mtec drilled and grooved brakes, brembo padds HELL braided lines HELL braided clutch line Uprated clutch slave Upreved Japspeed high flow cats Japspeed Y pipe Japspeed catback K1 exhaust Blox 1/2 inch plenum spacer Lately Ive noticed that according to the oil pressure guage, I've got low pressure on idle. Its dead on 15psi. In my ownership its always had 5w30. From talking to Mark at Abbey motorsport and various other owners, Im going to switch to a slightly thicker oil. My minds made up on this, Ive read the fors and against, but I want to ask this So, with that said, should I go for a 5w40, or as Mark and others have said, 10w40?
  4. So Yesterday as some will remember from Martins grasshoper meet, we went and picked up my buddies new R33 Skyline! Which obviously meant a good excuse for me to have a cleaning session
  5. Thanks buddy! More to come yet though, the mind never stops thinking of mods What a view to come home too!
  6. Had to get the key retrimmed slightly as it wouldn't turn, but since it's worked a treat
  7. Id really like to know! You just dont see them come up for sale and I looked often! Thanks for the kind words though alot more left to do yet Thanks for the kind words bud, Im So happy with how they are! Ironically in my quest to colour code ive gota set that match the colour of the car perfectly
  8. Along with the wheels, I took a trip down to Abbey Motorsport and saw Mark for a session of UPREV remapping yesterday. Made to feel very welcome and Mark talked me through all that he was doing. She made a 15BHP and 11 torque gain which Im happy with, but moreimportantly how she drives now is just night and day different. The throttle response is immediate and so much smoother. Very pleased for sure
  9. Haha nothing wrong with a little bias! You know what they say about great minds think alike! I do like how far they sit recessed inside the wheels... @SHEZZA See I do like how they sit recessed inside the wheel. But that photo has made me think they definitely will be noticeable against my silver paint which Id like to avoid. @ZMANALEX could you shed some light on whether standard gt rays nuts fit or whats out there?
  10. Thank buddy! Im very, very pleased with how its come together! Well Ive reused the standard GT rays wheel nuts for now, as I was told they fot and are safe, is this true? I really like the look of those, wish they were silver or polished though. Cant help but think the black will stick out like a sore thumb against my silver!
  11. And they're on! Happy doesnt quite cover it. Little lost for words if Im honest, they really complement the car
  12. Well I better let the cat out the bag, but I picked up my new wheels today! Ever since I purchased the Z I said Id own a set of these incredibly rare wheels! And the grand reveal... Nismo LMGT4s Picked these up from Martin on here today, pictures didnt do them justice! Many thanks to Martin for bringing them down to Camberly and saving me a 4 and a half hour drive! Excited to fit them after remapping tomorrow, more to come
  13. Thanks folks, been pretty manic day to be fair! Martins pictures of the wheels didnt do them justice, Im looking forward to getting them on tomorrow after remapping One question, can I use the standard GT rays wheel nuts on these? One happy boy
  14. They will if youve owned them for over a year! If you've had your licence longer then a year youll be good to go and give them a ring
  15. Ekona is right on the money there, and what he has said is very true. Im buying wheels on Sunday, if i was to loose out on them id be well in the poop street. Brentacre I have found to be brilliant on modifcations and we've actually agreed on a agreed valuation for mine. Unfortunately I can tell you now unless you've had at least a years experience with RWD they wont even quote you. I feel that insurance could the stumbling block for you. Not impossible though...
  16. All varients of the 350z whether that be preface, revup or facelift have there known issues so buyer caution is advised, you're in the right place to find out there niggles! Personally, Id wait it out and buy the HR which is the facelift model. This comes with all the new tweaky bits that youll probably spend a good £1000 upwards when retro fitting to a preface model. As Davey says they are all interchangeable but finding the parts is the challenge. Soon negates the tax increase as LED rear lights £150-250 HID headlights £500-750+ HR Bulge bonnet £300 And thats exactly what im going thtough the motions of now. Retro fitting mine And thats not a dig at preface cars at all, I have one! I just wish it had the better headlights etc etc. Ownership wise i really do love mine, and the people ive met on here too. Its not been withoutits problems but in the grand scheme ive got them sorted, just with extra swearing I guess if I could give you two rules of thumb from what ive seen here for two years now is, 1) buy from one of the members on here or an enthusiast. History is documented, you have build threads and you get to learn alot more about the car before you buy. Its a greater reassurance that its not been thrashed on low oil! 2) Check insurance! Insurance is only going up for these from my experience, with many of the named modified brokers asking for a minimum of a years RWD experience before they'll even quote you. Elephant were good for me in my first year but then the car was standard. Not so much now! Im 25 so can say this as been a slight bug bare despite having 6 years NCB Happy hunting! And welcome!
  17. You'll have two door switches, on both side's of the door jams. There kinda small and easily replaceable so I wouldn't pay a garage to do it!
  18. Bumping an old thread, what ever happened to the manufacturers redesigning the Preface DRLs? Guessing it never happened?
  19. @zippypooz and with no arguing Great pictures bud!
  20. FlickR? Can always upload straight off your mobile if you're using the mobile version of the app
  21. Easy way to tell of what though? Had my rocker covers changed last year so I know they're not leaking anymore!
  22. I always read threads like this with a certain trepidation. Should be noted that from what ive read that DEs and HRs have different pressure readings before anyone panics. I only get about 15-20psi after a spirited drive with my DE. 80K on the clock but it does make it a tad paranoid
  23. You may get away with using the oem bolts, you may not. Ive gone pretty low and they managed to get my toe in spec on OEM bolts. Cambers out but Ill adress that in the future Saying that, it makes sense to get aftermarket toe bolts, stillen sold by @Tarmac@TarmacSportz are a good option. Provides you with spares in the event that you snap a bolt, which is likely. Get your alignment done ASAP once the coilovers have settled as it WILL be out
  24. As Martin is away at the moment, I thought id say that Ive put a deposit down on these so hopefully all being well they'll end up in my hands fairly soon
  25. I have to be honest that took me alot longer to clock then it should have done
