hey guys i posted a thread about my oil pressure when i first bought the car in june as was idling about 15-20 psi. any how consenses was it was in range for a high milage 2004 DE . Anyhow ....iv just had a plenum spacer miltek resonator bypassed and a GT spec throttle controller fitted . due to yorks sh1tty weather iv only just been able to take her out for a decent run since the mods fitted last week . every thing was okay for 90% of the journey and oil pressure was reading 20psi at idle untill about 5 mile from home on the return journey when it started to read about 10psi every time i stopped at a junction etc . any ideas guys ? could any of the mods be related to oil pressure? ....pics to follow

hey veilside , what was it like to fit ? do you have to spur into alot of ignition wires and what happens if some numpty presses it while your driving

cheers mate .wasnt aware there were more advanced kits so ill look into this .also quite interested in fitting one so no key is needed but cant understand how as the steering lock would need disengaging via key turn.

hi ...does any one know of a kit to install an engine start button to a 2004 DE ? . Also if so are they easy to fit .tia

thanks GM .no apart from the usual thrust bearing rattle the engine sounds very healthy for its age . i am waiting on confirmation today as to if it was definitely done but panic over i think regarding your info . cheers

hey guys .. finally got hold of previous owner of my 350z DE asked when timing chain was done and he thinks at 90000 . i bought her in june at 129000 and just had a full service done last week at 132000 miles. so can someone please tell me ....when does the chain require doing again?

thats a bonus, and helps widen the search, seen some for sale at 110-130k and that put me off a little. bought mine with full history in june with 129000 .currently on 132000 with no mechanical issues and engine sounds sweet. as others told me .....buy on cars service history not the milage

okay ill check today Adrian as iv not been using the 350 due to the crappy weather ..is there a way of resetting the unit . do i just unplug it from the obd port ? .reason being ......when I first installed the unit and powered up ....i couldn't read the jumbled LED screen to i pressed all the buttons before figuring out the throttle set procedure. i think sport mode may have been set at sp3 before the throttle set procedure started. would this affect anything ?

what will fitment be like with a nismo v2 front bumper ? . i removed my original under tray because it didnt quite reach the bumper and was zip tied to it (poorly) .

bought some sonax ...wow completely different to simoniz ...if you do anymore than one panel at a time it dries like concrete found this out to my detriment and had to go over with the cheap stuff to get it off.

okay think its sorted ...got a bit miffed off and tw4ted the unit ...it popped into life with all letters/numbers present .

has anyone got an idea please as to why the display is like this ? i have googled the problem endlessly and read every install procedure on this aswell as previous models but cant find a solution . i am 99.9% sure i have installed the unit correctly ...very frustrated tbh

they seem so it does work ..just the missing increments .i thought the only one which could be misconnected was the obd port ? but then it wouldn't power up would it?

so faulty unit basically yea

any ideas on how to reset unit ? or does missing parts of LED increments mean its nackered?

hey Adrian ..yes i followed that link ..found it earlier on forum and did everything to the letter..even installed units in same place that guy did

thought so .i have messaged Adrian and waiting on a reply .thought something was wrong with first turn of key (boot up)as it didn't disply (nor) ...just some jumbled unreadable letters or numbers

need advise please. just installing the controller now following instructions and connected all plugs but im left with this ...pics to follow... is a small bag with bullet connectors and some red wire and tiny zip ties ...any ides guys
