  1. Loads of options here. F type V8 for example or Mustang. Quite popular where I am. Im not sure this yellow does it justice. Its pale pearl yellow not sharp enough. Also hides the shape of the car a little bit. The 370 was bold enough to have bright colours. This car lacks the curves i think darker colours work better.
  2. Funny seemed to not lag as much when i took it out yesterday evening. In both manual and auto mode. Sure shifts are not instant and can be jerky. Still quicker than manual 👀
  3. Did you consider Headers? I heard they change the signature sound. Any gains to he had from changing it?
  4. It returns to manual if youve clicked on the paddle usually after 6-7 seconds. The ECU is waiting to see if youll click again. Theres a video by Nissan about the Auto Transmission. Its occasionally laggy on downshift. There are times when its not but a lot of the time it could be as bad as 2-3 seconds delay in non manual mode. Ill give it a test later. Im sure a map fixes it. I dont think Nissan had an update for this. I also dont think theyll bother on the new Z either. That apparently suffers lag on upshift at times.
  5. Is it just a current trend because America started buying 25 year old cars. Will they ever come down. For example the A80 Supra is currently £30-£40k depending on transmission. Seems all the kids want to get a closer look. Do you think that will double or triple like the R34 which some dealers have put at £180k. Seems crazy that the enthusiast community can no longer save for 4 years and buy anymore 🤣 Is it worth considering something like an A80 before it ends up like the skyline? I also remember the R32 GTR being £20,000. Crazy. I would have loved an R32 GTR. Lovely shape. I think they are near double that now if you can find one One of neighbours started collecting cheaper classics like old boxy MR2 hes a mechanic. I think by 2030 these cars will be worth a bit. Either way theres no way im not looking into a classic car with 2030 approaching. A worthy investment I think despite ULEZ. Oh theres a way around certain ULEZ rules. Wink wink
  6. Alcantara door cards on GT Edition. Also about to buy some kneepads hopefully to match. Dots are fine. 1 dot means reserve. The Auto is economical as ive been on a few trips with just under 50 miles left. Its not good to run it on empty but i live in the city and consumption is quicker. Only thing is it wont upshift to 5th at 30mph but the gear ratios are different. Theres also no downshift protection against 1st gear so you need to be very careful in manual mode due to the lag I got a 2012 and have only had tpms go. Cars smoother and quieter and nice not worry about gears due to traffic and slower cars. Which got frustrating being in the city. The 7th gear keeps the revs just above 2k at 70mph. So you can get up to 35 mpg. Or 38 if sitting at 60mph through roadworks. I get 23 mpg average. Its due an interim oil change now. Its faster on pick up being an auto. A TTS is marginally quicker being DSG and Turbo. A lot of lag on some downshifts can probably be sorted with a map. I had 2 Nismos even saw one just now. I dont feel like returning to manual so ill stick with this for now. Buying a third Nismo will be a bit insane i rather get another car. Mines under warranty so not too worried about the main faults. Although I need new window seals and a respray of the roof and fenders/wings If you get the GT youll be able to glide around without drawing too much attention in stock form. I prefer it tbh. I avoid as many potholes and creveces as possible. Not had any issues with bushes etc. Still going strong. Mines 46k miles. Planning to do Transmission oil and spark plugs at next service. Also brakes are coming up! Then it will be tyres after.
  7. GLWS...hopefully someone on Facebook market whose not a timewaster buys. Is it on eBay or Autotrader? I keep hearing "post it on fb" like its a magic site.
  8. "Wait here Ill be back" problem solved 😉
  9. Ive distance bought my second Nismo and yes had a few bodywork issues but drove spot on. The option is there to return it in 30 days no hassle with Nissan. Just because someone pays for day insurance does not mean they will treat your car with respect. No matter what people think of the Z its a high performance car. Lots of opportunities for timewasters, dreamers and tyre kickers to come floor it or lose control on a roundabout. They dont know your car the way you do. I know I cant take this corner at more than 35mph. He doesn't know or care till its too late.
  10. We have had test drive crashes of Supra A80s and Skylines on this side of London. Answer is No. They are free to try out the clutch on a stand still. Thats it. I box the car in when the car is on and theyre doing the checks Even if they had day insurance I still would be reluctant. When something breaks only a small percentage of people would take full responsibility. You would probably have to commence lawsuits. Is it worth the headache I wonder. I rejected a test drive for my Nismo after I spent an hour showing the car. I wasnt convinced the guy was serious as was his first performance car, first Japanese car. He also said during the drive lets go back. Which got me thinking. He said he had to think about it, but can i drive it round the block. I said go think about it. He offered to put £5000 in my account. I said to him so you could turn up with your boys when I refuse to give it back post crash. Youve seen the car its been driven for 25 minutes. Guess what he knew the guy who lost the Supra in a test drive. I said after you saw that what do you think. That was that. I cut my losses and traded in.
  11. Need a cargo plane with some new Zeds overnight from Japan
  12. Mine is basically the same minus the mods. I wouldn't expect to get over 16k at best for mine. So with mods even better deal. Id take off the headlights lol. Glws. Im sure thatll go by this summer! Wish I was looking now 😂
  13. Attend some shows with a huge for sale sign. Thatll definitely go.
  14. Unfortunately I was one of the no shows. I literally thought it was this weekend. Then again I hadnt checked the thread since April/May. Kinda gutted but thats life. End of the day I was even wanting to invite some people mark 1 Nismo and a Supra. and remembering you couldn't just turn up. Obviously got the dates mixed up thinking it was 24th June. Life happens, gutted to have missed it. Regarding weather, Id still turn up. I can understand its not everyone cup of tea though. Having a clean car at a meet in England is a bonus tbh. The whole Z driveby thing I dont know why anyones suprised seeing Zeds youd never see normally especially in that area drive by during a Z meet. I did the same with the 350 back in the day. There were 6 cars that day. Its a closed event and no guarantees youll make it. A lot of people watch the forums but have no plans to interact. I actually have no recollection of that day June 11th. Anyway I agree with davey about the list but thats the rules of Ace Cafe. Apologies for not showing up! @Payco No excuses. Can only apologize.
  15. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/294326621057?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=KNL4uB6rTGK&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=qLgmErXZSUu&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY Apparently mine is a dealer update because its 2012 GT Edition. No sat nav disk reader behind the seat. Will this aerial or equivalent fix the issue?
  16. Nope...Just general rounded number. While I cant argue there are more Teslas with Self Drive than others. Honda Toyota and Nissan have similar features but may not be equivalent but partial self drive until few years ago. Also Toyota sell 10 million cars per year. With only few million having any form of self drive. Assuming the hybrid electric and electric vehicles which may not be more than a million to two million which Tesla sell per year. Not all Teslas have Full Self drive as its an additional paid feature. full self drive with 90 - 360 degree turning and stopping at red lights and stop signs, roundabouts, traffic jam cruising, exit lane changes etc. The article critics itself by stating it doesn't take into account the level of autonomy and admits there are more Teslas. The point of the article is primarily to criticize the overrating of self drive technology as safe enough for road use. That includes Waymos type taxi services. It could have been anyone coming in at top of the list. If common sense was applied by Tesla Pilots the most sold autonomous vehicles didnt necessarily need to come out on top. Seems overreliance of self drive features is clear to see. But youve seen videos of people asleep for their full journeys to work on here. No technology is perfect sure, but why shouldn't this push for fully autonomous vehicles be criticized from a safety aspect?! If you wish to jump in a 4 seater facing each other driverless taxi in London in future. Nothing wrong there. Im all for technology if used with common sense and fail safe safety patched in
  17. Shame the Supra has tight cabin space for anyone over 6 feet. The Supra is what you get if a new platform was built. I guess Nissan are saving that for a hybrid petrol standard Z or EV 4 seater 2 door roadster. If thats going to be a thing for the future under Z branding. Either way the weight has already gone to way too heavy.
