  1. Appreciate that sir! I still cant believe the price you got it and its condition. Ill keep an eye on your thread. Maybe youll be along on one of Daveys runs. I might not make the first ones as no car yet 😂
  2. 3:30 for drive. It's quick no doubt. But the F Type is more ballistic lol
  3. I used to watch brosfourrspeed who had one with short tails. Then i went to Nissan to see it up close. They wanted £36,000 for a new one. So i had to get on the bike and get looking. Most V2 were £30,000 back in 17. I put deposit on one then a 6 month old popped up at £26,000. I called up straight away. Those were good times. My mate who had an E92 drove it and liked it. Although post 60 the bimmer takes off. Said it was nippy and it was about time you had a nice car. Years of running Civics, Pumas and VW stuff.
  4. Not much out there that doesn't come with either a reliability penalty, higher insurance cost or some sort of con. I think this car has a good balance. Im considering another one because im still unsure about the rivals. Fortunately the only spend on my previous 3 Zs was servicing and the usual consumables.
  5. I know someone that didnt service their car for 3 years just topped up oil covering 25,000 miles. Engine oil turned to sludge and was constantly cooking. Anywho good luck with the search. Serviced at the very least annually. Ideally oil change every 6 months and all the fluids done at some point within 30,000 miles. Rust is common but can be sorted. Tax on my DE was 300+ not sure what it is now.. probably approaching £400.
  6. Looks like an import. I rather get a UK spec
  7. From what ive heard the route caters to travellers and petrol stations are in the towns. It is possible youd be driving 150 miles with no petrol station. Extra cannisters for emergencies makes sense. I never trusted these petrol additives but i heard they're good for raising the Octane level when only basic E10 is available petrol stations nc500 - Google Maps
  8. May just be to appease DVLA. Like the EU Supra has been dynoed at 370HP-380HP even though its stated at 335HP. May still be the case. DVLA/DVSA are not going to dyno the cars lol. Bloody GPF OPF gets switched out by new owners anyway
  9. Take it to a wrap place. While doing your tints a 5iver lol....That part on my 370 went and all the road salt stones got into the window seal. So winding up and down scratched the window if it wasn't fresh out of the wash. Was going to replace but gave up in the end and sold it.
  10. Better late than never. 9 months screening complete by DVLA lol...I think they could have designed a slicker dash and integrated a curve screen somehow. That doesn't make it look like an afterthought. But this style is the way many manufacturers are heading https://www.topgear.com/car-news/first-look/hold-your-horses-new-ford-mustang-gt-galloping-uk
  11. The thing about them is when they go wrong its nothing less than a couple of grand. Warranty wont cover everything especially with the age. Brakes are around £2400.....but its a nice car for the summer. Wouldn't keep it long term lol... Probably level on maintenance costs vs GTR. I want the F Type but i dont fancy paying those rates for insurance lol...
  12. This was a while back years ago. I didn't go through with it as the body shop was more interested in insurance jobs.... I'm assuming it was going to be couple hundreds for arches. Nowadays it's more. They cut it and weld new metal apply filler and spray. Underside is doable and will also cost a few hundred. I'd budget just about a grand to fix both. Then shop around. It's doable.
  13. Get a DE 2003-2005...like i did Less road tax and plenty low down torque. Cheaper on Insurance too. Only issue i had was starter motor and arch rust. Or you can go for the 370Z 2012 on wards. No issues with reliability as such over 2 years. Just "hot hatch". Turbos are deceiving....It feels nimble. Its all the computing and Turbo boosting being done.
  14. I added a few can dream cars on there. Can't believe the 4 banger Emira will cost around the same as the V6. Lol... Nissan Z - £866 Porsche Cayman 981 S - £900 Cayman S 718 - £950 GTR - £1000 Alpine A110 - £1117 Cayman GTS - £1400 Lotus Emira - £1500 GTR Facelift - £2200 F Type V8 - £2300
  15. I live in a high risk area where cars and catalysts get stolen like Hyundais, Ranges, Priuses and Golfs. Fortunately no one's looking at the JDMs unless they're R3* or Supras 💀 Accidents are common too. Traveller gangs. They catch them send them to the hotel for 6 years then the gang leader replaces them with new members...all the way from north London to Hampshire it's the same gang...also near A40/M40........BBC documentary said it's an endless cycle.
  16. Some Paint shops now have a machine that can mix paint electronically to match. They have their ways.. Maybe you can buy direct from Japan? On eBay etc.
  17. Lol £2300 for insurance on F type. When I paid £900 on the Z. It's falling under JLR Range Rover. One of the most stolen in London. Z is still around same price so are Caymans except GTS and above lol. Old GTRs are also coming up the similar to Cayman S and cheaper the 718 GTS. Nissan Z - £866 Porsche Cayman 981 S - £900 Cayman S 718 - £950 GTR - £1000 Cayman GTS - £1400 F Type V8 - £2300 15 years license 14 years no claims no points...38 yo based on London. It is what it is. GTR usually fit in group 50 insurance but 50 has a lot of sub categories. Only thing I can think of is JLR thefts and value combined..
  18. Ive got one where are you located. I bought it from Lithuania. I haven't tested it and not used it as found out it was just a battery issue. It's taken from another car but should allow the car to start to remove the fuse if you wish.
  19. Yeah I'd have got the base and modded that then maybe get the Nismo when it was 3 years old. Auto is fine as the gig economy riders, average speed cameras make driving a manual in built up areas tedious. We also have lots of uber drivers in priuses and 20mph zones. I remember the frustration with nismo just to get out of the area to decent roads you'd have been leveling the clutch for 30 mins in traffic... Maybe one day I'll get another. Done with Nissan for now.
