  1. it isnt tbh i have a few panels to take off and redo as there crap. but i would do it again just not using a carbon look vinyl as it is a right donkey to work with maybe go matt black after the summer haha but not on the side of the road in winter again think ive got a few frostbite sores from the cold days
  2. so i finally got round to finishing the wrap taking the gt spoiler off was a pain, 3 hours later i managed to remove most of the residue left behind. next step spoiler
  3. with all the parts he can get hes building this
  4. must say that as my first time wrapping a car and doing most of it on the side of the road by myself in the middle of winter its not looking too bad yes there is a few panels that need redoing, but that is why ive done it myself so i can practice on it as i may start doing it as a side business from a garage next year (once sourced a new house). now ive got to decide on a spoiler i want to finish off the back end. then on to the list of lip skirts and diffuser anybody got a few £££££'s they want to give me
  5. so after collering my brother to help me out today and fight the wind i got my bonnet wrapped. just got the boot/hatch to do in the week and itll be done for now.
  6. filler and a lot of sanding would be my guess
  7. if this is a true 380rs (which i highly doubt it is) then the person who modified it took about 10k off the value of it. nismo yes 380rs haha now i havent seen an engine pic of a 380 but im guessing its going to be different to a hr engine with a different air intake set up and cover ? also if you owned the car then you would know all about what it is as it would have to go through all the import tests to as im sure -g- can clear up that the paper work would state its a 3.8l ? also if the original exhuast is knocking about ill have that off ya £10 be good enough for a true nismo titanium exhaust right?
  8. thinking from a pure electrical view it sounds like not enough power going to from drivers side switch could be a bad connection on switch either the live or the switched live have a look at the connections you can see and remove the plug and check the pins are all ok
  9. has anybody done this to there de bonnet or know if theres a set available or even a whole bonnet fs? http://images14.fotki.com/v437/photos/4/1626384/8457618/nismoz5-vi.jpg
  10. thanks guys its going to be unique thats for sure. the difference from stock is going to be night and day look forward to the day i can say its finished and can look back at the photos
  11. so im after a bgw to finish off my car i was going to have a rt performance gtr carbon one (the one they did for the zed) but pm'd them and they dont make it anymore so ive been looking about the forum for one that takes my liking http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/82079-megan-carbon-fibre-wing/ and i seen the megan ones but had a look on the importer you guys used and it seems the euro to pound is bad that its now a £800 spoiler by the time it gets to my door so if any of you guys who had one dont want it no more or know of an alternative wing same sort of size dont want it over 25cm high doesnt really matter if carbon or ffp
  12. ignore the colour being orange i can assure you its red it just light and some night mode on my phone so didnt see how bad it looked till i got them on the pc
  13. so managed to get out in the nice dry weather we've had over the last day or two and get a little more of the car wrapped, both rear quarter panels are now done also had to redo the drivers side, side skirt as had taken a chunk out of the wrap going over a log at speed on a spirited run last week. had to removed the bonnet carbon wrap as some water had penetrated a small hole and it froze the other night causing about a 6 inch tear in the bonnet groves anyway gave me an excuse to wash the car and take a few pics,
  14. guess u didnt fit a resistor to the sensor cable under ur seat then. mine needs a nissan reset i changed my wheel and installed it with the spiral cable one turn to the left more than center so it flashed up have replaced it back to center and all switches worked on original wheel so spiral all good just needs a reset to 0. try putting the original wheel back on and see if switches work if they do it just needs a reset rather than a whole unit there about 300-400 quid
  15. does your air bag light work still? vie goes off guess u have a resistor in it ? if so then the spiral cable all good its just needs a reset at a nissan main dealer im in the same position have heard its a 5 min job but nissan charges about £80
  16. yea with carbon skirts and diffusers and a rear wing just havent had time to get in my mates garage to finish it off hopefully get some done in the week
  17. that would be mine half way through the wrap
  18. i might be very tempted at a cf one if price could go nearer the 300-320 mark so a 20% group buy i think people would like that as for the frp i dont know of the difference between theirs and tarmacs ( probably none) but grams make their own i think and tarmac buy theres in so dont think tarmac could compete with price (ALSO higher start price)
  19. http://www.nicoclub.com/FSM/350Z/coupe/2003/ps.pdf 29-39 nm or 22-28 ft lb not alot really just hand tight
  20. its the nut done up to tightly ^^^^ it puts too much pressure one the spiral cable housing undo it a fraction dont know what the torque setting is but if i remember its not that much ill have a look for it
  21. same as miller after a ts one but thanks anyway
  22. What type or style?? A picture would help also
  23. this http://www.autotrader.co.uk/used-cars/lotus/exige/used-lotus-exige-1-8-s-sport-sport-2dr-high-wycombe-fpa-201512079276276?logcode=p
  24. forget decats youll need a port and polish on the head and a set on long headers to sound close they spent more money on how it sounded than they did setting it up to drive properly lived with a bloke who worked on the engine development and they tried about a 100 different exhaust combos ie headers(exhaust manifold) hfc , mid pipes and back box getting it to sound great was easy getting it to pass the euro tests and still sound good thats where the money went
