  1. I was thinking something very similar, either carbon dipped inserts or graphite to match my alloys, but with a chrome projector housing. Blue demon eyes...not sure if I want halos or not.

Something about sequential indicators I don't like, I prefer LED indicators, nice crisp ON/OFF. Good work though!

Not sure how long this 'group buy' is on for but I guess I need to make up my mind soon.

Good to see peoples photos for ideas...

    Cheers man. :teeth:

Fair enough, each to their own :) I'm personally a fan of sequential, although I have no idea if it'll work for my headlights - especially as I do intend to keep the original indicator as well. Just an excuse to learn something new really

  2. Nice job buddy.. now it's revealed your a little whizz with leds etc your gonna get plagued lol

    I'm having these fitted

Haha, I'm still nowhere near a wiz but thanks

Those look very nice! I like the switchback function as well. Would love to see your lights come out, so I'll keep an eye out on the forums

  3. please post up some pics of your work. i'm still undecided if i need to replace mine with new standard lights or go aftermarket

Just to check, you weren't talking to me were you?

I am having my headlights done by a small independent guy.. Having the inserts black carbon dipped.. the projector housing painted in same blue as car and colour changing demon eyes hidden inside projector housing (all run remotely via mobile phone)..chrome indicator bulbs, already got hid on dipped beams and also having an led strip layer in with sequential indicating ... 😎

I've been working on sequential indicators as well. :) Not sure if it'll look good in the headlights I've got, but wanted to try it out to see.

Coded it up yesterday - here's a video of a test. First time doing this so pretty pleased

  4. Very reasonable price in my opinion. :)

I've been doing something similar with some second hand Spec-D (Junyan) headlights. It came with halos, but I wasn't happy with them and it's taken me months of evenings/weekends to research, buy, fit etc... Happy to do it myself as it's cheap headlights I'm playing with, but if it's my OEM ones I'd probably rather pay for a professional to do it. Plus a lot of money has been wasted trying various things, just as I'm clueless.

Bought it in late Feb, and it's still not on the car :surrender:

    Getting there though!

Since then it's been painted satin black, but still a load of things to do...

  5. I had the same issue in the winter of 2014. It gradually got worse and became unbearable after a while so I had it looked at. For me it was worn auxiliary belts, so had those replaced (and re-tensioned?) and the squealing stopped.

I have no idea if it's 100% correct, but what my friend said is that the belt is worn and/or not tensioned correctly. In cold weather the belt slips on the pulleys, causing the squeal. Once the belt warms up a bit, it grips the pulleys better and the squealing stops.

As I say, no idea if it's correct, but I found it quite fascinating. :)

  6. Not having a go at anything just something that I've noticed. The unit that Hokada and others have installed are the old units (7 drive), not the GT-DRIVE units?, 7 parameters on the old one, GT-Drive goes to SP-10 i believe. Maybe I'm wrong?

I did notice that upon receipt of the unit as well. I asked Adrian (prior to opening in case it was a mistake and had to be returned) and he confirmed it's the GT-Drive. It's just that they hadn't received the updated casing yet, so it's in the old casing. :)

The internals are the GT-Drive, i.e. it does go up to S-10

  7. Spotted you near the Six Bells roundabout on Farnborough road (A325) heading towards Aldershot. I was driving the opposite way in my GM 350z.

Saw you give me a thumbs up so I waved back, but not sure if you saw as my reactions were super slow as I was still half asleep. So much so I didn't even see if you were a man/woman

    Anyone on here? :)

  8. Excuse my copy & paste of one of my previous posts but in case you do double your budget :)

My friend (based in Church Crookham) does it on the side and I think charges around £300 for prewash, wash, clay, correction, wax and sealant. You'd have to check with him about exact details, e.g. if it's a 1/2 stage correction etc... but I know he's meticulous and takes a lot of pride in what he does.

Let me know if you want me to send over his contact details so you can ask questions etc...

  9. Someone I know got one of these a couple of months ago. He took me and my friend out in it and it was absolutely bonkers. Looovely car

Not surprisingly, he still goes on about it every time I see him
