Thanks for the advice guys , for me this sort of thing counts as adventurous,

A Zed owner who lives locally has approached me with an offer to buy my reg no, apparently he can relate it to his name. His Zed is 04 as is mine, he offered to pay all costs/expenses as well as paying me for the number , he says I could have his number as part of the deal to hopefully make it easier, he seems genuine, I have not said I will do it but i'll consider it. I have never bought/transferred a plate so I do not know what problems might occur, especially with a straight swop. All comments and advice gratefully received.

This weekend . Got to be worth a visit if you live within 100 miles Quick plug for Dream Rides which is run by the Sporting Bears motoring club to raise money for children's charities. Dream Rides-- enjoy a passenger ride in a special car for a specified donation , Approx Ten Miles run. ALL money raised is given to charity , drivers (usually owners) take nothing for time or fuel. See you there Friday or Sunday < I'm one of the volunteers on the stand, old geezer ,probably on crowd control!! JC

These are the rear Lambda sensors codes and apparently do not affect the engine management. Mine has these codes but passes MOT emissions ok. It has modified exhaust system and this may be the cause. Zmanalex says they can be switched off as part of a re map.

Local Car spares factors quoted £264 to supply the two rear sensors Blueprint brand . I could probably get some discount off but surely I can do better? BTW just fitted polished plenum which involved clearing the codes (and EML) and it hasn't come on again in the past two weeks , still i'll not fool myself ,money will have to be spent .

Ah. speaking to the previous owner it has Berks HFCats' Scorpion SS Exhauast, Abbey Motorsport Re map and the throttle controller mod. (amongst others). From searches Zmanalex use to sell spacers as a cure...... (bml EML at no) 0therw9se its fun. xxx

The codes have been cleared a few times but come back within a week or so. its had exhaust mods also. some delving about these codes says Sensor 2 Bank 1 and Bank 2, so to check this means rearmost sensors? as its an 04 plate with over 100k miles I suppose its not unreasonable for them to need replacing , (hope that sorts it) So, any recommendations about sensor brands/suppliers?

Passed MOT with these codes showing. which I have found out are O2 sensors. Should I just go ahead and replace the sensors or are their other things I should look at? If I replace the sensors.... Should I use genuine Nissan or are other brands / suppliers that can be recommended? ( costs of parts ? ) And what are any likely problems? PS. remapping has occurred previous to my buying the Z, and it has a throttle controller thingy ( which is usually in Eco,) Thanks in advance for all help.

ah!! yes indeed there is a spacer. never even occurred to me , doh!

Having a polished plenum (courtesy of Mopedmark) I realise I need shiny bolts and washers to look the part. Can you help ? Who knows what sizes I need and where from? thanks

Won this at the Coventry meet and picked it up from Mopedmark at the weekend. What a superb prize!! Many thanks to Mopedmark for donating this . And of course thanks to Lexx and the team for organising the meet and the other traders for their support. Will post a photo when fitted but I think I need to find some shiny bolts and washers. Oh dear, I may have caught the blingy shiny infection........., I don't seem to feel satisfied with stickers and 'carbon fibre' decals anymore.....

its mainly about what parts may be needed arising from the more common problems and where to source them and target prices. it should be on th e shelves today.

looking at their web site their premses are not a sales forecourt but maybe an 'office block'. By appt only...... are they there? and if theres a problem can you find them ? just a few ' buyer beware' thoughts........

Bought my Z, my day car is a Mondeo, so I thought juddering on braking was was a powerfull car characteristic ....... took it to a local man for something else who said .. ' your front discs are wrecked o the inside' they looked fine on the outside. !! EBC turbo blades + yellowstuffpads sortred it. jc

Good show particularly if you like being nostalgic . Five Halls so a lot of folks have a tw.o day ticket. My Z was in the car park. Didn't see anything much in the way of Nissan or even Japanese marques/clubs there.
