And you did all this without the need of splicing into the existing loom etc? I have no use for reverse camera so I'm ok with that but I've heard sound is poor without bypassing the rca's?

All the threads Iv found regarding this head unit in the zed make this seem very complicated, with splicing and soldering etc. Is there not a plug and play kit to put this in a 2005 Z? If not il just rule out a change as I would want to be able to return to standard without any issues.

After some Rays & tyres for a simple swap over of my standard alloys. Prefer 3-4mm at least on the tyres but il consider most. Since a cracking set just went for £320 on here on Thursday I suppose my price is £300-400 delivered to leeds or il collect within 50 miles Open to offers tho dependant on condition and tyre life.

I'd also like to know, I'm debating this set up or an iPad mini install. I'd rather go down the head unit route for the more "factory" feel but Iv heard bad things.

Get an mx5 for a year and learn the characteristics of a rwd. Touch wood ul have a years ncb and valuable real world experience. Mx5 are plenty fun too, (Iv got one ☺ï¸)

I love the rarity factor, I had an 11 hour round trip yesterday to collect my Z, I explained to my dad who took me, that I could almost guarantee we wouldn't see another one on the roads, we got round the corner from the guys house I was buying from and my dad spotted one and thought he'd proved me wrong. It was the one I was buying lol he'd just taken it to be valeted.

So I gone and bought one, very long day but worth it. Gunmetal gt with genesis exhaust and k&n typhoon. 10hrs of driving and I'm back home. What a machine though!!

I'm sure you could get a friendly exhaust fabricator to knock you one up. Iv done that in the past.
