Got a 55 plate and the seal around the rear passenger side lamp failed meaning water was getting in. Dried it out twice and re sealed it twice and it still lets water in. Giving up now so am looking for a replacement. Anybody out there have a near side rear lamp for a 55 plate. Thanks brian.
Can't believe you just compared a Fiat 500 to a performance car like the 350z
He's not comparing a fiat 500 to the zed, quite the opposite. He's emphasising that a crappy 500 is still more expensive than a zed, albeit an older car.
So they thought it was an ambulance
I had no pharmaceutical paraphernalia onboard!
unless you are running on nitrous which is also entonox and carried in most ambulances as an analgesic.
Exactly. 5k is nothing compared to what you'll be shelling out over 2/3 years for petrol and the multitudinous repairs/ replacements the car will need.
It absolutely hammered it down in north cornwall this morning and large areas of the allen valley resembled paddy fields so i was being ultra cautious and going very slowly through the standing water. Anyway on my way back from essentials at tescos ie wine supplies i noticed a broken down car with black smoke billowing from it about a 100 metres from some water probably no more than 6 to 8 inches deep. I was going to stop and offer the use of my phone but he was already making a phone call but my question is whether he could have hydrolocked it going through that amount of water at speed. Also would it cause all the black smoke coming from it or was it just his engine deciding to go bang? I always drive really slowly through even modest standing water because of loss of control and my worry of causing a bough of water to go up to the air intake.
Garage commented recently that both front tyres are worn on the outside edges so I was wondering if anybody else has had this problem ? I'm a bit worried it might be something expensive like new bushings or suspension arms
More than likely the tester will not notice that the brace has been removed, however best to run with a brace as it does serve a purpose.
just had a look and my car doesnt have the brace so the last owner or garage that sold me the car kindly removed it without replacing it. Nice to know they are concerned about the safety of the next owner. Good job im an old fogey who doesnt really push the car hard or take it to track days as i would probably have ended up trying hospital food by now.
If this had been removed and not replaced would it be noticed and mentioned on the MOT? Read somewhere that it not being there is not an MOT failure but that doesnt seem right to me as it looks substantial
Not that problem but when the car is driven for a while the clutch pedal seems slightly notchy when being released and sounds creaky. Been told it could be a slave cylinder problem but been like it for weeks now and like you the clutch doesnt slip.
Lol 'chill and look cool' perhaps easier said than done as you are staring in a terrified way into the eyes of the person who 2 seconds ago was behind you.
