My pricing structure is appalling, Al! I sell myself short at every single turn! As I said, I can't get Alcantara for less than £90 per metre and that's only for black or charcoal grey. If you wanted a colour, I'm looking at around £135 per metre length. Black/grey or a colour then...?

Ok, here's a price guide from me (with you supplying the material): Gaiter: £10 A pillars: £15 Headlining: £35 Front console: £100 Tunnel console: £125 Dash: £350 The last three prices reflect the amount of work involved in making and fitting bespoke covers, as well as the labour involved in removing plastic from the original panels so everything still fits together as it should do. For example, the rear compartment on the tunnel console: plastic needs to be removed from the cubby lid and the surrounding area (including the button recess) or none of it will fit or open. Hope that helps.

By "centre console" I take it you mean the tunnel console, yeah? Not the one on the centre of the dash that houses the 3 gauges...?

Alcantara's roughly £90 per metre length to buy - if you were going to buy some for less than that, I'd be concerned about it's quality! The stuff you see on eBay for £7 a metre won't last long inside a car, I'm afraid...

That's a lot of labour in that list, especially for bespoke items like consoles and dashboards! What sort of fabric are you looking to use?

    Headrests

Seriously, what were Nissan thinking when they decided to make the 350Z headrests as what seems to be some sort of injection moulded, unremovable and unstrippable item??! Did they just sit down and think "Let's make retrimming that little bit more challenging...!" Do ALL 350Zs have these headrests, or are there any models where the headrest cover actually comes off...??
  9. This is appalling! The guy SOLD the bike, not lent it to him for a few days. And don't most insurance policies now state that the policyholder must be the registered keeper of the vehicle? If he sold the bike and has a receipt to show that, there should be no liability whatsoever for the previous owner (I accept that DVLA records wouldn't have been updated in such a short time - the receipt should serve as sufficient proof though). He was an uninsured rider. That should be the absolute end of the matter, surely...? Even "driving any vehicle with owner's permission" cover shouldn't apply here as it explicitly states that it doesn't cover a vehicle you own yourself, which, if he'd bought the bike, makes that section obsolete. Outrageous!!!
  10. He says he can't find any unread messages on FB! So if you drop him an email at hoylesolutions@hotmail.com he'll be able to take it from there.
  11. One of my mates does flocking and he's in Huddersfield. Drop him a line via his Facebook page and he'll be able to tell you more himself.
  12. Can everyone be aware that any parts made from REAL suede are very likely to discolour fairly quickly as suede will typically have no UV protection!
  13. I get my first 350Z to play with in a couple of weeks' time and it's having its' seats, doorcards, gaiters and centre console revamped. Watch this space!
  14. I've dropped you a PM with his details, mate
  15. There's a friend of mine on the Celica Club who does flocking and his work's spot-on and very reasonably priced too
  16. I'll be watching this project keenly! Beautiful car...!!
  17. Try a heatgun on the centre pad. As long as it's good leather and you don't heat the same area for too long at one time, it should help to mould the leather to the raised emblem underneath, making it's definition sharper. I know plenty about leather in general and steering wheels in particular so it's always good to ask
  18. They cut the crank itself or the crank pulley...?
