  1. Im just trying to be helpful not looking for an argument about it tbh They may have sorted it. They may not have. But its an easy check and the noise is no where near as bad onve fixed. Simples.
  2. http://my350z.com/forum/engine-drivetrain-and-forced-induction-diy/568985-diy-torque-solutions-transmission-mount.html Literally 30secs and the top result on google......
  3. Same one that was £280 buy it now on ebay a couple of days ago??
  4. I bought a bolt from the local steel merchants. 1/2" iirc and then redrilled the crossmember to suit. If you google it its a known issue but they didnt respond to my emails to get the right sized pin for the bush. If youve got a photo of the pin you can tell easily if its the right one. Dont get me wrong though. Its still noisier even with that issue solved. Nust not as stupidly horrendous. Iys not helped that i also have a lightweight smf that invreases noise
  5. Imho youbpaybfor what you get but in your shoes I would take up Mr Torqen's offer
  6. Hsd are rhe only decemt ones in your list that ive experiemce of. Ill admit I havent been in a car with Torquen ones yet but im skeptical of how good the damper could be at the price. Happy to be proven wrong though. I run Tein monosports and theyre fantastic. Dual flow valve really soaks up the sharp bunps on country roads. But only the upper end Teins and ohlins offer this atm as far as im aware. However theres a key line in your post i think everyone has missed. You want the same ride height as your eibach springs but more softness? All coilovers will be a harsher ride and be the opposite of what you want. And if ots for country roads and youre sure of coilovers then ones with a dual flow valve are the ONLY ones you should consider
  7. A lot of the noise problem is that the pin in the centre of the bush is too big for the bolt. A bigger bolt solves that. At least that was the case with mine
  8. Have you bought discs for a 350? Lol Cheap they are not
  9. Tbh id agree with that But a skim will do existing discs a world of good
  10. Fao paddy on previous page - my cheap aftermarket discs had to be taken off after 1000miles as they were causing horrendous judder and had gone 'weird' they looked like theyd been at the bottom of the ocean. Cheaper isnt always better. But aside from that just LOL at asking the traders to recommend what to do. Its like having dirty windows and asking a double glazing salesman whether they should be replaced or not
  11. I didnt read this properly before answering in and assumed it was for a track setup. Stock discs are more than adequate for the road and even for the occasional track day
  12. Stoptech discs, pf01 pads and superblue fluid. Perfect setup and mever fades
  13. Sorry to be a pain but could you check and also measure diameter of eaxh please?
  14. Sorted it with copious amounts of glue cheers
  15. Rivetted it on but yeah cut a hole in the bonnet lol Utec is built for turbo or supercharged builds really and im going na route
  16. Well, definitely turning more and more into a track car..... Ztune/Nismo bonnet vent fitted. Hopefully cool the engine bay temps down and also means I can now look at proper flat floor/splitter type setups and increase the downforce at the front. 17. i have a full set of stock suspension off my z that can be for sale and only in east yorkshire (just outside beverley)
  18. LOL yes Im being serious Static negative camber increases will not wear your tyres inside edge any quicker that you would notice or be able to tell - unless the camber is so retarted its lifting tread off the tarmac (like dubbers do). Honestly, hand on heart its true. If youre wearing the inside edge excessivly compared to the rest of the tyre its toe related and not camber
  19. Utek - not sre as not had it tubed yet. the interface seems straight forward and pretty idiot proof though. I managed to flash a map to it for my mods and it made a big difference will be for sale soon as I want to go uprev. seats - not that low at the minute I have to squash myself in round the steering wheel. Im in a catch 22 with it as the Mrs likes driving it and if I make the seats lower they wont slde and she wont be able to drive it. Im actively considering another car as a daily that she can drive and then go full retard with the z. The PF01 pads work really well even for normal use and arent that noisy EXCEPT after a trackday for a while when they squeal horrifically at low speed. I think its a good trade off for reliable brakes on track though Trackday was amazing! Booked Cadwell for 21st September and cant wait to get back out in it!! Changed the slave to the new one from Torqen tonight and bled through some high temp fluid - really straight forward and easy job. Sadly I then decided to remove the non working A/C and broke the plastic radiator On the hunt for an ally replacement!
  20. Camber doesnt wear the inside edge. Its an internet myth
  21. Wearing inside of tyres has nothing to do with camber. Its the toe/tracking that does that. Get it realigned. Changing the ride height wont do anything for the back breaking ride. Youll need stock soft suspension to solve that. What suspension is on it?
  22. Been a while since my last update and things have been progressing nicely with the car bought a few bits from Bennet (a pleasure to deal with and really helpful) in preperation for the SXO weekender at rockingham. Most importantly was some Tein Monosports, and Bennet had also upgraded the front springs to some stiffer swift ones. Also included was the EDFC for dampening adjustments whilst out on track! 2015-07-09_01-55-21 by ben taylor, on Flickr The set up works amazingly! transformed the car on track, and helped Bennet to an 8:02 I think it was at the ring with an n/a Z! Next was an uprated gearbox mount as my gearchange was very sloppy. Once removed it was clear why as the stock one had torn. old: 20150818_145549 by ben taylor, on Flickr New: IMG-20150821-WA0005 by ben taylor, on Flickr I also got some 1 step colder plugs which were promptly fitted and an oil temp gauge which is still in the 'to do pile' The SXOC weekender was amazing! Rockingham is such a fast flowing track that it really suits the Z. I did have some issues through the day though, The drivers front tyre got STUPIDLY hot as the day went on and just gave up towards the end. Already on 255 595 RS-R's i figure the next step is some pretty serious weight reduction? The clutch fluid kept boiling and the pedal would fall to the floor and not return until it had cooled down. I have already bought a new slave from Torqen (no 'U' ) and got some high temp Dot 4 fluid. Also as the inside of the cabin was getting really hot due to the engine bay temps being so high Ive also got a Nismo/Z-tune bonnet vent to go on to try and cool all that down. some pics from Rockingham (you guys should seriously consider the weekender next year, a really good and cheap track weekend with some really polite track goers and not one incident all day) received_10205454849987015 by ben taylor, on Flickr FB_IMG_1441886306991 by ben taylor, on Flickr FB_IMG_1441886311434 by ben taylor, on Flickr FB_IMG_1441886315018 by ben taylor, on Flickr FB_IMG_1441886329693 by ben taylor, on Flickr
