  1. Way I see it mate a neglected Z with 10, 000 miles on the clock can blow up just as likely as a 200, 000 mile car that's been looked after. It's down to luck alot of the time lol If you can find a low miles full history car you'll have the best of both worlds. Also don't let NON Nissan history put you off either as I've found out via this forum Nissan dealers have a bit of a bad rep. Mine has full Nissan history and alot of people have said start going Indy as they are actually better than Nissan lol
  2. Chromatic, there's a chap selling one on here just to let you know, of your first choice. Check the for sale section.Think he wants 650 plus a stock exhaust though?
  3. I love the front splitter. Really makes a difference. My car is black so wouldn't make as big a visual impact but I still want one lol Welcome!!!
  4. Do these plug into the lead that comes out of the cubby box above the stereo?
  5. Hey guys, bought it few weeks ago. Runs great! Full nissan history, taxed and motd etc. Love it!!!
  6. Welcome! I was looking at Civic Type Rs instead of Zs and am so glad I changed my mind lol
  7. I viewed a few Zeds with 60 and 70k on the clock. Both priced over 6K. Both dogs with limited history etc. Ended up buying an 04 Black Zed GT with full nissan service history and 117, 000 miles. Don't let mileage put you off. They aren't Mazda RX8s. They have a big engine that can take big miles. I paid £4550. That's 2K less than what lesser mileage examples were being offered at! Goes like murder and runs like a dream. Love it!
  8. Politely tell them you understand and that you'll happily give them back the 370 for a full refund and your 350 back. You'll soon see them tell you not to worry about it lol
  9. Must be my ears then and what I've been used to as I love it lol
  10. How many different blacks are there? Mine just looks like a standard black colour lol
  11. That's what I was thinking guys. I paid £4550 for the car and cant honestly see an Indy servicing it impacting the resale value in 3+ years whatsoever. As long as I have a reciept and stamp then that should be all that matters. It's weird having a car with FNSH though. Seeing all these Nissan stamps makes me feel forced to get it done by Nissan lol
  12. Guys, my 2004 GT has 117, 000 on the clock, and has been serviced every year by Nissan. I have NEVER had a car serviced at a dealer before because I've always considered them overpriced. The last service was carried out on 24/04/13 and was a P1. Starting in 2004 the P services and mileage go like this: P1, 8845 P2, 23339 P1, 41927 P3, 52395 P1, 63812 P3, 74649 P1, 85307 P2, 95214 P3, 102543 P1, 110875 As said it now has 117K on the clock and is due a service in the next few months. What service is next and what will it entail? Also is it worth paying the extra getting it done at Nissan just to keep it a FNSH? Help and advice appreciated!
  13. Do you mean the sound quality / speakers etc or the ACTUAL head unit? My head unit with 6 disc must be the only one that works as ALOT don't. I think with an uprated HU the standard Bose speakers and sub sound great and could remain. I had a 2000 Volvo C70 T5 which had a Dolby Surround soynd system and that was amazing as well. Can't say which was better as this was a few years ago.
  14. It may do Kyle but I'm not with the car for a while longer. 35 all round sounds good to me though! Cheers!
  15. Just had my backup clay bar arrive in the post! Bigger than I thought. Just need the rest of the stuff and a sunny day now!
  16. Guys, just a quick one as not got manual on me and will be passing a garage in a bit. What is the best PSI for front and rear on my stock Rays? 245 rear and 225 front. Is it 35/30? Front/Rear
  17. I recently bought a 2004 GT in black for £4550, it has 117, 000 but full nissan service histort. My advice is not to let mileage put you off as other cars with half the mileage were complete dogs. With a 7K budget you can any OEM pre 2005 model you want. As has been said do get a GT as the brakes are better, the bose system is incredible and the cruise is a god send. Good luck!
  18. Just bought an extra large 5ft sq car drying towel off of ebay.
  19. Its just a generic carnauba wash I use mate, cost about 3 quid a few years ago lol. I have always used a chamois to dry, is that not good enough in this day and age?

  21. Thanks mate. I'm not too fussed about car shampoo as I'll be claying the car after the first wash / before the second wash. Should I get a better shampoo or stick with my bog standard stuff for now? Thanks for everybodys help so far, I've bought everything based on the advice on this thread lol
  22. Happy birthday from another Darren!
