Thanks for posting the video, very entertaining. He's not shy is he, good lad! Back on topic, as someone who has owned about 25 cars at 30 years old, I know exactly what your feeling. Don't be shy to sell it and try something else, that's what I've always done. You might come back to a 350z in the future, I've don't that with another car; been a bit disappointed, sold it, moved on and gone back for another one a few years later, (and regretted it again, but that's not the point!) I've also been in the position where I really hadn't clicked with a car (golf r32) so put it up for sale, to see what happened. If it sold for the right price, I'd move on, if it didn't, I'd keep it. Well, it sold, I didn't have a clue what to buy so was car-less for a few weeks. Then I started looking at BMW M3s and just threw caution to the wind and tired one...turned out to be one of my favourite cars to date. So it all turned out for the best! No worries, good luck. Just follow the instructions on here, it's not hard. The only difference is for our pre facelift cars, you mount the headunit to the dash facia (in the same manor that the factory unit comes out). And put it all back in as one unit. Which adaptors did you mean, the aerial ? If you order the kit in the link, you'll find it has everything you need to fit the pioneer. The Radio aerial is a direct fit. I fitted a windscreen DAB aerial for the DAB, not sure if your headunit has DAB? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I do not doubt its cheap, its a great buy. I just can't warrant spending any more money on cars at the moment!!

I recently did the same thing, a pioneer (different model, but same thing) into a preface lift. I used this kit, arrived quickly, and minimal fuss to fit. Has anyone swapped their kph trip computer for a mph trip computer and it not worked? I have done the above and the digital display isn't working, the volts, oil pressure are ok, but there is no info in the display. When I plug my kph set back in and they work as expected, full display and the button on the dash cycles through the different displays etc. I've attached a picture so you can see, any help would be greatly appreciated. Do you think I could have a faulty gauge cluster unit, or do I need to change the white control module behind the dash? I bought the cluster from a seller on this site, he says it was good. Any advice or experience would be greatly appreciated guys; this is really bugging me and getting me down, I thought it was going to be easy plug and play. It may be worth noting I have replaced the headunit this weekend, but remember the kph set still works when plugged in.

Old thread I know, but when fitting a double din to a pre 2006 car, does the headunit still get mounted to the car and the dash clip over it (as in this guide). I've been doing this job today but I can't see (with a pre facelift car and the adaptors I have) how to do this ; it appears I need to remount the headunit onto the dash facia, and put it all back in as one, as with the factory unit. ? Anyone with experience of this, would appreciate to hear. Thanks
