Think i really fancy a HR now , but thanks
  2. Very nice Keyser, love the green and black , my daily drive has a similar colour scheme A graph of one of my old bikes , with and without a small nos kit This is one of the R.I.P.S cars , graphically shows the impact of nitrous on spool This is one of my old customers cars , this is how it looks when you flat line a dyno Not hugely impressive but it was on this Managed to get a 1700kilo plus grandad car into the 13's :)

Thanks for the offer, very kind , got a couple of HR's to look at first
  4. The only bottle I ever heard of failing was where the owner had removed the burst disc (safety valve) and fitted a pressure gauge in its place , a faulty bottle heater resulted in him losing his car and most of his garage ! I've seen a few burst discs go though , that's quite dramatic but harmless apart from the underwear change Ahh found a pic of the car whose bottle exploded !
  5. I had nitrous on my r33 Skyline , worked really well helped the spool no end
  6. Adrian Flux was the only insurance company that would insure me when I had NOS. I think they are one of the only companies that will still do it A divers bottle in the car is much more risky IMO as its 4200 psi instead of 900psi and my insurers are fine with that bit of a joke worrying about a bottle of nitrous when its sat in a car containing a 10+ gallons of highly flammable liquid
  7. I've had nitrous on a few cars and bike , used to have my own filling station and fit kits for others as well Things can get more difficult above a 50hp hit but I found nothing touches nitrous on the bang for buck scale A good set up should cost less that £1k but insurers really don't like it nowadays

Newbury , Berks . Unfortunately the new owner drove off in my Skyline today But he did kindly leave me a bit of cash to play with

The DE model (04-06) has the most torque BTW mate...not by a lot but it doesn't get better the newer you go unfortunately. Good luck with your hunt This felt really bad , my 200hp Skoda wouldve seen it off , i suspect Its just a sorry example and or It had normal unleaded in or very old super , its been hanging around at the dealer for a long time
  10. Halfords well these caravan ramps for about £20 , another option which helps get the trolley jack under
  11. Dont think the door seals are proper rubber so I think a thin smear of vaseline wont do any harm , silicone spray is a good alternative as well and I've been using that on double glazing for years and it is fine with rubber seals They shouldnt really stick though , it can be a sign of damp in the car either from a leak , heater matrix or simply from not enough use , might be worth fitting some of these in the car if its the latter http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LARGE-Interior-Dehumidifier-Home-Portable-Damp-Mould-Mildew-Moisture-Remover-/350856011667?pt=UK_Home_Garden_Hearing_Cooling_Air&var=&hash=item51b0a5df93
  12. No you are right 14N that will work, be very careful opening the door as its easy to tear a door seal
  13. Starting and letting it run is not good for the car , causes condensation to build up , better just to leave it alone or take it for a drive on a sunny day. Most bikers leave their bikes for 3 or 4 months every year without issue
  14. Underrated i think , it suits the car very much , I can understand why people dont like them but everyone who drives it compliments the 'box You have a sequential manual mode if you want and you can also use the steering wheel buttons to shift but i rarely do . Its no dsg of course like my daily driver but still great for a GT car . It is however ridiculously over geared , 7k in 4th gear is 186mph and likely unachievable with 300hp , 3rd gear will see about 120mph so on a fast cross country drive you only really toggle between 2nd and 3rd

I did consider yours mate but you are a fair way away , not a fan of the wrap or the exhausts but i know that's a reflection on me rather than your car as it looks a cracker Also leather is a must have i think
  16. Yup normal just the clutch release bearing noise, common to most cars
  17. Buy some moth balls and wrap them in a rag and stuff then under the seats and around the spare wheel etc , this will stop mice etc making a home in the car they hate the smell Not sure whether the fuel tank is plastic or metal if its plastic run it low if its metal fill it up
  18. I'm getting quoted £184 fully comp with protected no claims !! I'm paying £230 for my daily driven Skoda Fabia and over £500 for my R34 Skyline I know i'm very very old at 45 have a clean licence and full NCB on both my cars but it seems stupidly cheap , kinda offsets the rip off road tax

Been to look at one locally an 06 plate with 73,000miles up for £8750, bit scruffy on the outside but i imagine those bumpers are easy damaged , it had an envy scratch down the door but worst of all the interior drivers door handle was in very poor shape and the centre cubby hole equally bad Bit disappointed how bad they wear inside , my Skyline is pretty good even after 100,000 miles and 15 years ! I wanted to drive an 06 to get a feeling of the power delivery but it didnt feel as torquey as i'd hoped , didnt feel anything like 300hp lets hope the HR feels better , i suspect this one is just a poor example Thinking of stretching the budget a little to £10500 as well
  20. Might get a bit of a slating here but imo the perception of Skylines is often unrealistic as most peoples experience of them is based on a video game. They are heavy old beasts mine was around 1500kgs , the GTR is 130-150 heavier so thats like having a 25 stone passenger all the time BUT They are well built , look the dogs danglies and are great GT cars , powerful smooth and simply eat up the miles Very similar vein to the Zed imo , they can be made to handle well and they can be modified to be absolute beasts but that often makes them less enjoyable to drive when you cant go flat out , I prefer the 2wd versions they do feel lighter and more lively on the road the RB25 has variable valve timing and makes torque more easily than the 26 so on the road at stockish power levels they are nicer as well, the RB25 neo as fitted to the R34 Skylines is the best RB engine nissan made imo , shame they didnt develop the 26 like they did the 25 , although the latter is much better for tuning.
  21. LOL that wasnt mine !! I had a 180cc Gilera Runner , you need to paddock bike to tow the drag bike back , they have no ground clearance and the clutch is mostly shot after a run
