I did the same on mine but with Berk decats, it's fine. Dependent on if you have o2 extenders/delete to stop the management light coming on it will eventually come on.

Just thought I'd check in with some feedback after taking the car down to Kaizer. Booked in this Saturday past for my braided lines being fitted along with new ATE brake fluid. I can say now it's one of the best garages I have been too. Great clean place and waiting area, few nice 350's and R35s sitting around to admire too. Sly himself is an absolute guru, definitely knows his stuff on Nissan and his awards show it. Didn't have any problems cracking on with my car whilst I was stood around chatting with him apologies if that is not the norm, I like to wander! Great customer service and I would not take my car elsewhere, the one place around my area I would be happy leaving my car with Brake pedal is a lot firmer and responsive now Cheers, Dan

Got them from the 'topgaitors' shop on eBay mate. Really good quality, come pre-cut and in the right shape. They do loads of different colour stitchings http://stores.ebay.c...opgaitersboots/

Thanks guys, Ok well the next batch of goodies has all turned up! Will be the last for a while (holiday saving due) ATE Super Racing Blue brake fluid HEL brake lines kit (thanks CS!) Aluminum centre vent trims (thanks asad!) ??? Fitting this Saturday with the new fluid, hoping for an average improvement in braking Vent kit Fitted quickly on my break, finishes the interior off nicely What's in the box??? Epicness, that's what Scorpion system just to confirm little bit dirty but it's just surface dust/dirt, has wiped off to reveal a nice shine, looks almost new. Was wrapped well so no dents, barely any scratches and to sweeten the deal it cost me £220 including next day delivery Will be fitting this myself tonight, looks simple enough to do as a 1-man job? ...

Minor addition today with a much bigger update to follow soon Mini fire extinguisher from my garage has found a perfect mounting place - out of sight too unless you really lean forward

Probably already been seen in regards to this but for those who have not, Jay Leno has already had this come into his garage. Great little video with the designer himself from Nissan discussing it's design, style references, options etc. Obviously it's a prototype so not a full production model with the proper engine spec.

Cheers, I can't believe how well it goes, it just has that finished oem look. I'd highly advise anyone changing the gaiter / gearknob to invest if the gaiter doesn't sit properly on the stem or the gearknob doesn't essentially sit on it to keep it snug... Will get some more pics up of before and after fitting the washers a few did actually stay put in the bootlid initially...but I carefully eased them out with some pliers

Will do mate!

The bumper was a generic one from fast_car_styling on eBay mate, really not the best and I wouldn't honestly recommend however I needed one at the time My mate owns a body-shop so he had some proper time with my car fitting it professionally due to these things never quite fitting right, to be fair its lasted well over the past 6 months... Cheers mate got some things on the way and planned Hoping to be mostly finished by the end of the year with the main bits being: Coilovers Remap @ Abbey Custom plates Standard bumper to go back on with a subtle lower splitter (got the bumper) New alloys still loads of other things to come, I just can't leave the car alone!

Finally decided I’m going with a purple theme, so to start: Magic tree Purple stitched gaiters Sprayed rear strut purple Sprayed drivers side grab handle Pipercorss air filter turned up Managed to get hold of a Motordyne plenum spacer. Grabbed my tools and got to work: All fitted: Then my new gearknob turned up from EPR was listed as chrome but is actually more titanium looking with a little chrome on top, so I’m well pleased! Came with a neat gear sticker too! Molegrips were obtained to remove the standard gearknob...managed to destroy it in the end getting it off! At the time there was nothing included to actually fasten the top of the gaiter to the stem of the gear stick, so it was sitting free, didn’t look finished and was loose around the gearstick, wasn’t keen. So I went to my local plumber store and found this…some rubber shower hose washers End result: Can't believe how well it goes, finished it off nicely I'd say I’m pretty much done with the interior now, don’t like going overboard and prefer subtle over bold. Meanwhile My boot was doing my head in, with the 'pop the release button twice to actually open it'... So the trim carefully came off with all clips intact Boot weight revealed... and it's outta there! Trim re-assembled, gave the boot a test. 1 pop of the button and it clears the catch! Job done Quite a read to start with I know! Thought I'd get it all on here up to date! Hope you guys like it so far, more updates to come as and when Dan

Been on here a while now. I think it's a good time to finally start a progress thread and keep everything organized with the Zed lots to report on! So here's my first car, she served me well! and here's the Zed when I first picked her up last November 2013... Came from a loving home in Harrow, only used only as a weekend car always kept in a garage, full Nissan service history, no niggles. Touring model, 22K miles on the clock I had already become addicted with buying bits before even picking her up...short airiel and Bosch flatblades have already been added. Look great, give a more modern look and work much better than the old wipers Next on the list was interior LEDs, boot light and map lights Visors I have left, the LEDs I’ve seen on them in pictures are far too bright for my liking. LED number plate lights in & pressed plate on rear Next up a new a cargo net originally from a Peugeot, cost £5, fits almost perfect and does it's job 8k bulbs and LED sidelights arrived, fitted right away, great mod that cost a few cuts to the hands. Old (left) New (right): Berk decats turned up. Firstly wow, the weight comparison is crazy which was expected. The original cats with their heat shields really did weigh a ridiculous amount! Fitting: Comparison: Fitted and took for a test drive...I was blown away by the sound! She’s a little monster after 3k revs! No cabin drone and sensible motorway cruising is still surprisingly almost silent Christmas came, got some neat little Z dust caps from the bro. Unfortunately during the cold and wet winter period I came into contact with a small wooden bollard, put a nice dent in my bumper, needed replacing sooner rather than later... Had to get a new bumper...couldnt find an OEM one at the time Here she is after getting her into my mates bodyshop, spraying and fitting over the weekend: The bumper also had 2 tiny mounting holes. I measured the diameter and popped up B&Q. Got 2 'lightweight' brackets along with the correct size screw and washers to fit perfectly. Brackets fitted and new square plate going on, well pleased... I then decided to experiment with plasti-dip, can turned up, I got to work. Side repeaters, rear repeaters and exhaust tips done Really like the matt look it gives and durability is still perfect today (5 months on) Next up was my music, I considered a new head unit but I liked everything working as it is with the Bose and steering controls. I saw the AUX mod but didn’t want to go that route either. So: Monster cassette adapter turned up, the cool bit red on the cable end pleases me lol Then I got hold of a Brodit ProClip dash mount Holder turned up to be attached so that got mounted. All together and working: Looks really smart, does the job, doesnt shake or wobble either Kept an eye on the forums and got myself the Bluetooth adapter so I can finally use it for the first time in the car. I go onsite a fair bit at work and more often than not it’s only when driving that everyone wants to call me! One of the best things I’ve got so far to be honest quite chuffed. My ocd started to kick in aggressively with the heated seat switches…why oh why. Finished result with the switches on appropriate sides and blanking plate in the middle, how it should have been!!! Most recent mod was to finally cure my strange rattling noise in the exhaust system…since fitting the berks I’m confident an old piece of cat broke and fell into the old Y pipe. Arrived! Getting the old one off was so much effort...the bolts just wouldn’t budge even with a day’s WD40 soaking beforehand...we had to resort to spending the majority of the evening angle grinding the damn thing off Final bolts with new one in place: Again...a fair weight saving compared to the old one with its all-round heat shielding After fitting we shook the old one and hey presto a tiny piece of cat fell out. Took for a test drive, rattling gone! Also slightly louder I know people slate Japspeed in general but I have no quibbles with this, the welds were great and the fitment was perfect straight out the box

decat rattle - probable cause identified, what is it and how much?
blaqkaudio replied to ostego's topic in Exhaust
Its process of elimination mate, check everything. Some thins to go on All bolts tight? No air leaks? Take your system off bit by bit and check for anything rattling inside? Heatshields above the decat/y-pipe/mid pipe not loose and touching/rattling against anything? -
decat rattle - probable cause identified, what is it and how much?
blaqkaudio replied to ostego's topic in Exhaust
From that picture im assuming you mean the flexis on the y-pipe? I had this issue but not to the extent its noticible on the motorway at high speeds, only in the lower revs off-throttle. Issue was down to fitting decats for me, a tiny piece of stanard cat broke off and fell into the y-pipe when I was changing them over for decats. For me (free, do it yourself) I took the y-pipe off, presto, tiny piece of cat fell out, rattle cured. Hopefully its as simple as that for you! -
Yes you can just change the bulbs over...10k is a little much I think though. Here's mine when I changed them over to 8k, bright white with a nice subtle blue tint Standard left --- 8k right Most new cars nowadays have lights as bright as this anyway, some with even more of a blue/purple tint...Mercs / Audi's / Jags etc... You won't attract any attention as long as your not driving like a loon, hope that helps

A friend of a friend had one in that strange almost 'rainbow; colour....I only saw it once or twice, sorry I don't know the models! Looked absolutely stunning, rare, had great road presence, V8 sounded amazing however... it was soon gone...all I heard was that it essentially fell apart slowly from frequent use, parts were expensive to replace I think he said. They're nice though lol

New to Z forum and a new owner
blaqkaudio replied to J4YPS's topic in Introductions & Welcome Messages
Welcome along, i'm in Gillingham think you know Mitchell Platt with the very nice Ibiza...had a go with me once when I was basically running slicks with awful grip and careful throttle....beat me apparently though -
Welcome, another owner in Kent

My Y-pipe was also a massive pain removing....1 hour later with a mates angle grinder, job done. Remember to put a tiny bit of copperslip on all your new bolts too will help you in the future if you need to revert back.

Will this plenum spacer also fit a 2004 280 model? If so i'll take this off your hands if it comes with the correct fittings -
Only watching one at the moment and it's brilliant, on Season 2... The Following power to the Bacon!

Azure rear ended on M2 this morning (Heavy Fog)
blaqkaudio replied to AKVai's topic in Spotted or Flyered
Did it have a rear spoiler? (Nismo I may think?) If it did I see this guy all the time coming home from work...actually saw him last night on the M2 by the Gillingham exit as I came off...he was honestly tanking it Either way hope they are ok. -
Last time i'll post this guy, assume he's just not on here... Spotted yesterday and this morning, the previous one I spotted in a car park opposite my work...now parking in the car park we use. Definitely needs a clean! had nasty scuff on front bumper... and this morning parked next to me... Up close I could see some subtle modding... small aerial / debadged '350' / rear and quarter windows tints / front chrome lower grill - not sure on that :S Either way I'm liking it in white

Interested in the lip mate, where did you buy it from? Thanks

White 350z on the touring wheels I believe? Spotted this morning from my work around 8:30am onwards. In the private car park coming off Mote Road (by the large billboard) Very nice in white haven't seen a white Zed in the Medway / Maidstone area before
