Have you tried McDonald's drive through with the roof on yet? Its an interesting one Considering the minimal interior space- the extra wide sills made it perfect for this: Glad your enjoying it mate
  3. Brad! be good to meet you then I'm tagging along very very early with about 10 others leaving from Medway
  4. Cheers guys Elliot, I'm going BHP? so may see you there?
  5. People still steal valve caps?! Good god... Shiny though...looking good there mate
  6. Quick search on here points to shims if you've already had the pads out and greased up Did you have shims on your previous brake pads? Were they refitted with the red stuff ones? Not sure if you need new discs but a mate recently fitted Pagid discs, they're pretty much just an oem equivalent replacement
  7. Long weekend but managed to get the new wheels and coilovers fitted Completely transformed the car and given it a new look. Lost some un-sprung weight with the new wheels and she handles great on top of the fact it looks so much better than before... New wheels were fitted and balanced Saturday, along with the new wheel bolts Sunday came. Waiting outside the workshop at 9am, maccies breakfast, ready for a long day Standard ride height: Mate turned, opened up shop and we got to work for the day! Ramps make life so much easier... Not many action pics on progress as we had our hands dirty cracking on with it First attempts on the front and rear took quite some time however once we had done it and knew what was coming the other side took less than half the time (plus they had more time with WD40 soaking into all the bolts we had to remove) Rears done with anti-corrosion spray and copper grease on the rings applied: Fronts in progress... Let him crack on for a bit All done and car lowered back down Car was then washed whilst the BMW was in for a test fit of it's new wheels All done, closing up shop, ready to go home Coilovers set to full soft for first 100 miles, rear height set to a safe level, arches being rolled next month. A productive and hectic weekend, very happy with the end result, transformed the car! Just the semi-smooth oem bumper I have in the garage to be sprayed and fitted and I'm happy to consider it done (bar the little bits of modifying here and there) Hope you guys like it

Before my Dad unfortunately crashed his he had a black turbo mapped to around 240-245bhp sitting in the garage. Whenever he went on holiday I got insured for a week or two Would of bought it off him instead of the Zed if it was still around. Like people say it's a completely different experience and savagely fast.
  9. So after lots of looking around and curiosity, Zeditus brutally kicked in and made me get the last two considerable things to pretty much finish the car off...hopefully that's the end of it It's been a 'live on the 'essentials' type of month, that said, I'm far too excited Had this lot sat in my room for over a week, finally fitting it all this weekend - and many thanks to the guys who chipped in on the wheel advice thread I posted! more pics to follow...
  10. Just read through this thread, looks brilliant mate! How did you go about painting your calipers with the prep beforehand?
  11. Looks brilliant mate will be fitting my jr3's in hyper black tomorrow, it's a great colour in different lights
  12. Looks brilliant! Love the simple smooth front end, really smart
  13. Used what I had lying about buddy...so probably not the best method. Wet soapy rag to clean any surface grime off, then used some light sandpaper all over quickly. Cleaned with a damp cloth after and let that dry. Warmed the can up and got to work with light coats all over
  14. Yeah do it I'll be keeping an eye on your build thread then, having a read tonight
  15. Sorry Bradders, wording in the wrong place! I meant after that last picture I have since re-fitted the engine cover lol
  16. Didn't have enough time or patience getting it off completely this time Elliot lol this method still worked though Cheers Dunks!
  17. Well last weekend I was down Kaizer for her P3 service, all good and well faultless service as usual, old girl needed a new battery though. Today I found half a can of VHT aluminium spray lying around in the garage, so thought right, lets tart up the grey faded looking plenum A full can would of been better but half just about did it, it's no pro job but looks so much better than it did (no before shot!) Coffee in hand waiting for it to dry in the sun All done Engine cover since put back on Not a bad afternoon
  18. Cheers mate, I was using your pictures as a guide Anyway I have ordered the alloys chaps, appreciate all the advice...they are sat right behind me stacked up at work! Will be a while before they are fitted as I don't have much free time atm
  19. Apologies if repost, New Lynx Black Presents: Bring the quiet Just about to watch a video on YouTube and this came up as the 'skip now' ad beforehand. From the start of the advert - around 5 seconds... https://www.youtube....h?v=Cwe73jmCrmk
  20. There are 3 separate prices in the right hand column in the photo Crikey, in plain sight...definitely a long day! Cheers Steve Yep, time for a lie down
  21. I'm no expert but I would agree with the graph and say sort that leaking shock absorber asap. Then again anything listed there just get it all sorted, can't imagine the replacement bushes being too much. In regards to where you are I'm not sure on local specialists but I can highly advise Kaizor Motors, Google Maps says your around 45mins away from him, up to you whether you think it's worth the drive? I know others on here travel more than an hour to get to him I was there yesterday to get my P3 service done on the Zed, definitely knows his stuff, very professional and trustworthy, happy leaving my car with someone who knows what they're doing ...and when you say comment on the pricing the only number I see here is £1600! What is that for? The cost of the P1 or the cost to fix those issues after the P1 evaluation? Either way that's pretty high unless I have missed something after a long day at work? Hope that helps you buddy
  22. Cheers Steve Yeah bits and bobs here and there, some big progress to come before May, just in time for Supercarsiege
  23. Continued... Something I had my eye on for quite some time was soon ordered and recieved. Again I wasn't wanting to pay top dollar for a GoPro as this is solely for acting as an in-car dash cam, it just happens to rate very well on the dashcam forums. Reviews are very good, quality is on par with the GoPro3...but it costs 3x less, more functionality with it's settings, smaller and lighter 'Wide angle lens' version of the Mobius Action Cam Got to say I'm blown away at how small it is and how good it is! The wide angle lens is perfect inside the Zed, records sound very well all in 1080p or 720p. The customisation on it is endless and developers are always adding more as time goes on. It currently mounted inside the car, set to record when it detects power (ignition), will record continously and then when power is stopped (igntion off) it will continue to record on battery for about 1hr 30 mins. and to finish just some random pictures Been busy! good to be back up to date on here though Hope you guys like it
  24. As promised...it's been a while so to start, last December saw myself digging around in the garage for the bro's 2 salvaged XXR wheels, this was just a test fit so I could picture some aftermarket alloys on the car and decide on a look... They look nice but will definietely need lowering if I was to go ahead with any sort of nice alloys. To be honest these definitely looked good but they are not to my taste, I prefer thicker style spokes Nismo sticker for the oil cooler Package from Tarmac turned up ...hood dampeners and a Tomei Clutch Line D1 spec oil cap in purple Back on smarting up the interior I decided to attack the reflcectors in the doors for a nice little touch These turned out really nice back on the car, much better than the red Side repeaters were already black but I had used plasti-dip on them, this gave a matte look. Decided to strip them back and buy some e-tech tint spray for a more black and gloss finish Before: After: Z badge came off the rear pillar, stripped the chrome off (absolute pain!), in primer... Sprayed anthractite Package from Clarke Motorsport had also arrived LED rear facelifts - these went straight on! Needless to say they look miles better and take years of the cars rear end plus as a bonus when I brake reversing safely onto the sloped drive at night the front end of the house it illuminted! Visibility is much improved More rubber with new tyres - Falken 523s. Fitted on the rears to match the fronts Finally got round to getting another aluminium template cut for the centre blank button A mod wich some may not like but it cost me no more £15 and completely smartens up the interior...footwell illumination. Everything was connected up, insulted and the tapped in behind the ciggy lighter. I cannot for the life of me get a good picture with my phone, so this is as good as it gets. Slight blur and major exxateration of brightness evn though it's on the lowest setting, you get the idea: In regards to its operation, rather than wiring a switch and potentially having to drill into the dash somewhere I simply bought a wireless transmitter with remote. Surprisingly considering how cheap it was, the remote works perfeclty with plenty of adjustments for brightness levels. The lowest setting is perfect for being always 'on' and does not distract at night at all. More stuff turned up...engine bay conduit, cadburys spray and a spray gun attachment. I think I have a problem with just spraying anything that can come off!
  25. Just ordered my coilovers from DW and was looking at these immediately after... My concern is, when lowering adjustable camber arms and toe replacement bolts are generally advised. I say this because its between these or the Eibach kit which comes with the toe bolts too... These DW ones look good though...
