  1. I always use ipostparcels.com. They collect it from your house and drop it off the next day. Cheap and reliable. Never had an issue.
  2. I've no idea how much it would cost to get it fitted. It involves removing the center console but that's easier than it sounds.
  3. The cars under the cover at the moment but I do have one from earlier:
  4. I'm very happy with my double din. It's well within your price range. You can get a full kit off Ebay for the wiring, faceplate and steering controls. Looks good at night
  5. It wasn't my masterpiece I just copied it from some other genius
  6. Welcome to the forums. Nice looking Z you've got. I'm a fairly new owner from the Midlands too.
  7. It made me chuckle. You guys don't appreciate good art
  8. Here's a little something to get you in the Christmas spirit This was wrote by a Z owner from Reddit.com/r/350z, I thought it was witty and he's happy to share:
  9. It's absolutely gorgeous. The bumpers look amazing, love the dark red part.
  10. I do have a bad case. It's starting to calm down a bit now, I think... I'm going to get the rear lowered a bit by modding the spring mounts. I want to get some interior parts professionally dipped after seeing another member's results. I also brought some parts towards a SC but I need to save for that so that won't be till summer time at least.
  11. Thanks alot mate. They did do a grand job. The spacers do make a huge difference, I wasn't planning on getting any till I saw the tarmac group buy, so glad I did. Cheers buddy! I got 20mm on the front and 25mm on the back. I got them from Tarmac Sportz on the recent group buy, they're great quality, I highly recommend them
  12. I've added a few more mods. Spacers, a new number plate and a better reverse camera after the last one steamed up. I also had it detailed. It was treated to a 2 stage machine polish topped with Gtehcniq C1 and Exo by ITD in Stafford. They did a thorough job, even coated the calipers and cleaned the inside (for no extra). I'm really pleased with the results. They also took a load of photos so I thought I'd share some of them. (Warning: multiple images to commence )
  13. I didn't say that and I do take care of my cars. I'm just telling you the facts, you can interpret them however you want to and let the straw man out. Check out the link below: http://www.rx8ownersclub.co.uk/forum/search.php?keywords=rust&terms=all&author=&sc=1&sf=titleonly&sk=t&sd=d&sr=topics&st=0&ch=300&t=0&submit=Search I'm just saying it's not a silly question if you've owned certain cars. The op just wanted to know how it fairs in British weather. A legit question. I have a 98 Passat which doesn't have a spot of rust on it and lived outside all it's life. I guess the thickness of paint and type of metal play a part in how they fair
  14. I think oil down the motorway has answered it enough. Bad idea
  15. If he plans to swap the engine, could he drive it in the meantime until it breaks? Or is that a bad idea?
  16. According to the computer, I get over 40mpg on the motorway cruising at 70. Driving it round very spirited, the lowest I can get is 18 mpg It's way better than my old RX8 on fuel, that did 21 mpg on the motorway and about 12 mpg on very spirited drives with loads less power
  17. I wouldn't threaten him physically at all. Things could get a lot worse than loosing a few grand on a new engine. You live 3 hours away so he should have more mates closer to home even if it weren't illegal to do so in the first place. He would probably just call the police too. You might need to just suck it up and learn from it. You say the engine light was on when you brought it, I know you drove 3 hours to see it but you should have walked away there and then. I'd source a decent engine once I had the money and get it fitted. Will still be cheaper than a new Z and if you get a low mileage or new engine you'll have a car that will last many years to come.
  18. He drilled a tiny hole and put a bung in just like you guys said. Took him 10 mins and the dent had vanished
  19. It's not a silly question. A Madza RX8 is a mass-produced Japanese built car. Created same time as the Z. They rot like crazy! I've owned 2 and they both rotted all over the back arches, sills and boot. A quick search on there owners club will produce a mass of rust and rot threads. Depending on where you live in the country it can be better or worse but unless you keep it inside, they all rot to a degree. People mention other cars of the same era that rot when defending their RX8s. A very legit question if you've owned such a car.
  20. I have to keep my car outside and the cats just love to sit on the bonnet leaving muddy paw prints all over it. Also, I've lost count of amount of times I've just finished washing my car then it starts raining 15 minutes later even when there are no clouds in sight I brought a stormforce cover, it's really easy to fit even in the wind, just start with the wing mirrors and slip both ends over in 2 mins.
  21. Thanks, that's a big help, I'll show it to the garage so they know what to do once it's out.
  22. Thanks for the advice, i don't have a ramp so I will get a garage to do it if i go that route.
  23. Is it hard to remove the springs? Do I need a spring compressor? Will cutting the rubber cause knocking or make the ride bumpier?
