  1. I'm in, PSN tag is braggmeister. Doubt I'll get a chance tonight but I've got next week off so will put some time in! Using driving force GT wheel.
  2. I had the same problem with the Berks, cats were proper hot before I got there and it went straight onto the emissions test. No chance, was miles out! I only got them in the first place as I thought it'd pass the MOT. eBay silenced decats going on this month instead!
  3. Which configuration Rainsport 3 did you go for out of interest? I've just had a pair of 245/45/18Y 100XL fitted on the rear from Camskill, and the car is all over the place above 55mph with any steering input whatsoever. I'm assuming I've been a complete simpleton and bought some with huge sidewalls. It's totally disconcerting, I've only had them on for about 50 miles but this feels like an issue with the size of the sidewall as opposed to lack of grip. They were at the standard 35psi, so I put them up to 37 with no improvement at all. No problem in a straight line on full power in the wet, any steering input and it feels like I'm driving a blancmange. Any ideas? The car does require an alignment, but with the RE050s on before it felt completely planted.
  4. May be of interest to someone out there... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/181277864175

    This explains so much!
  6. Here's one, in budget, right colour and mileage, GT Spec but no Rays. http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/nissan/350z/2004-nissan-350z-gt--azure-blue/1717058
  7. How long you had this? 2 weeks or something? Madness. GLWTS.
  8. Having owned both myself you've got a difficult decision to make! As per all above posts, the torque in the Z makes it less of an effort to get access to all the power and it is a more comfortable place to spend time in over long distances. With a 10 mile commute each day you won't have an issue with the S2k, and vtec gets addictive especially if you bung a K&N on there. The gearbox is very precise, that's the main difference I noticed with the Z. Even with heel toe etc you just can't get through the box as quickly. Positives for the Z are engine note (especially with HFC, Y-pipe, exhaust - £1k approx), space, comfort and looks. I had a 1999 S2k with 72k miles and mechanically it still felt like new so if it's a well looked after example that mileage should be ok. Keep an eye on that oil as they tend to go through it fairly quickly if you're using them correctly. Geometry adjustment can be a bitch as the bolts seize up and this can potentially cost £1k+ to sort. Good luck choosing, don't think there's a 'wrong' decision!
  9. Had a go at wrapping the rear strut brace today, wasn't too bad, only stabbed myself with the craft knife once too! Bargain! Off the car: On the car! Not 100% happy with the Z but from a distance looks ok, wanted it to contrast with the weave on the brace which doesn't look too bad.
  10. Gone! http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/75529-will-evo7-370bhp-swap-for-a-350z-revup/page__st__40
  11. That is pretty steep for a non turbo with 123bhp?! All well and good setting off car alarms but when you can't outrun the cops in a diesel Astra you've got bigger problems!!! ;-) GLWTS.
  12. I've got the same problem as well along with a creaky as sin rear droplink. Coilovers going on next week / week after so doubtless that'll accelerate things if it is the banana arm.
  13. If I'm honest it's quite rusted up but flexis are intact and I can't see any holes (unlike the cats). Had to abandon the attempt to remove it today due to rusted bolts. OEM cats will be in the bin but I'll send some images if you're still after one. Will be off once I've had confirmation of a remap date from Horsham. James
  14. Here's the link http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/performance/accessories/green-filters-heat-shield Medium / Standard size will fit as per Adam's, just fitted one with my Takeda short ram intake too. Even if its a complete placebo, it's another bit of under bonnet shiny stuff!
  15. I should have a standard y pipe available this weekend barring any seized bolt issues. I'll update the thread and let you know what condition it's in once off if you're interested.
  16. Hi all, picked up my first Z yesterday (from Tradelink - very easy to deal with). This is useless without pics so... I've got some parts on the way already, Berk HFCs, Stillen Y pipe, Takeda intake and probably a H-Dev plenum spacer. Once that's all on it'll be off to Horsham for a remap! It's already got a rear box on it but I have no idea who manufactured it, anyone got any ideas? I'll have a look around under the car when I'm putting the cats on but thought it'd be worth an ask. I'm sure I'll be on here asking some simpleton questions soon so bear with me... Cheers James
