  1. After having it in a few days now, it feels fine i think iwas just driving faster, deceleration is slower slightly but not drastic that you got to brake so much earlier maybe have to brake 1metre before your usual braking point.
  2. +1 totally agree with you on the booting it part and downshifting! =) Thanks for sorting out the group buy much appreciated!
  3. We should get lil flyers and when we see a zed not on here give it to them! Anyone that owns a zed should be on here! Surely anyone that owns azed would want to know how to maintain it and surely if they bought a zed they must be like minded in someway! =)
  4. No need to hold your breathe lol woke up 15mins ago and went straight down to the car and switched the plugs around and Hey Presto! she sucking sweet cold air into the engine bay! Thanks everyone!
  5. Talk about brain hurting iv just figured out how to wire the fans to a switch in the dash board that can have them suck or blow using relay switches and stuff lol! But the fan idead would work il take a closer look and see which way is better =)
  6. OH yeah that would be a simple fix instead of rewiring, dismantle fan and flip it round and that way it will suck instead..... hmm.. dunno as i type i think just switching the fan motor wires around would probably be easier just two screws and and a lil solder =) but i need someone that know electric motors to confirm that this would do the trick.... Just googled multiple sites... 2 Determine the rotation. The motor faceplate will define which direction, clockwise or counter clockwise, the motor shaft will turn when the 2 motor wires are connected to the power source. The motor nameplate or manufacturer's information will specify which of the 2 motor wires should be connected to the positive side of the power source and which should be connected to the negative side of the power source to achieve the desired direction of rotation. 3 Wire the power source to the 2 motor leads as indicated. The motor should rotate in the desired direction. If for some reason the motor rotates in the opposite direction than desired, reverse the motor by swapping the connections of the 2 motor leads. yes it should do the trick as i dont want to mess about with any more wiring as its functioning exactly the way i want it coming on at right temperature and kicking on with a/c... so tomorrow il try this and see if it helps...wish me luck people lol
  7. Lol reversing everywhere would sure do the job lol nek though! Yeah i wired as per instructions... i thinking in my logic there are two plugs exactly the same but if i plugged them the wrong way round could that be the cause or maybe they coloured the wires wrong at mishimoto lol
  8. if this is wrong then how should i wire? to reverse the effect? ...just had a brainstorm! See the connection at the fan motor if i switch the blue and black wires around at each motor will it make it suck instead? as i dont fancy resoldering lol
  9. Could it be possible the two connectors are plugged the wrong way? as i defo followed the wiring.. Fan 1 is the Passenger side, Fan 2 is the Driver side 1. Cut the ends of both wire leads long and short, that connect directly to the stock fans. 2. Strip off the black heat jacket. 3. Take Blue wires from each harness and solder them to the Blue wire on fan 2. 4. Take Yellow wires from each harness and solder them to the Black wire on fan 2. 5. Take Green wires from each harness and solder them to the Blue wire on fan 1. 6. Take Black wires from each harness and solder them to the Black wire on fan 1. 7. Heat shrink all connections and then slide some sort of loom over them for protection. 8. Connect everything up and that should be job done. ....i checked and double checked before soldering! all the colours ran as above. Saskhi
  10. Yeah mine is currently blowing air out of the engine bay, when i walk past the grill i can feel the air pushing out hard.. but waiting for Zedmanalex to get back to me to see if this is the way he intended me to wire it up =) or had i got the easy part of connecting the two connectors the wrong way round lol
  11. I just used a connections diagram provided by alex, i tested it out and both fans come on instead of the previous one, and aircon sets it off too, whereas the old setup the second fan would kick in when aircon comes on or temp are reallly really hot. Soldering wasnt that bad was a pain in the ass to heat up properly, mental note if ever soldering again dont buy cheapy one lol
  12. But when driving at speed the hot air being pushed out will be cancelled out by air resistance blowing air in will it not? i can understand at idle hot air out is good idea as no air being rammed in.. the fans are two way but im thinking if nissan made it suck cold air in there would be a reason be behind it...
  13. Finally installed only problem with fitment was the too bits at the top that needed a lil bending with sum grips and pliers but nothing too stressful! topt up coolant and waited to hear the fans sing and sing they did sounded like a jet taking off PLEASE ANSWER WITH YOUR THEORY ON THIS ONE ANY ANSWERS WELCOME! Quick question is it better for fans to suck cold air into the engine bay... or blow the hot air from inside out of the engine bay?? what does the stock one do? Thanks
  14. Before.. After... ..dare i say it...the wiring almost looks oem! lol lol
  15. getting the fan out was easy apart from burning the crap out of my hand when disconeecting the hose to the radiator lol
  16. Yup hope i dont waste it though never soldered before could imagine its something like welding... fingers crossed!
  17. Nice pics and very shiney zed! =)
  18. Just recieved this today thanks Alex! Now need to get me a soldering kit, any suggestions? would maplin or B&Q have one? Looks an impressive piece of kit though must say!
  19. Yeah they should be i will double check later, and need to give it another drive on my usual testing strip and see if its my imagination but maybe because yours is auto and mine is manual, I use the gears to slow down alot combined with braking of course and when im going down the gears i usually feel the weight of my car pressing down and slowing but yesterday didnt feel that at all only felt the weight when i was in the corner pushing me the wrong way lol Maybe i am driving faster it was an 70++ approach to roundabout, usually i have full confidence in my braking and handling but yesterday it felt off, nevertheless its on now so just need to adjust my driving style and get some big anchors, il tighten the belt some more and see if it makes a difference =)
  20. Yeh i held the oem crank pulley in hand and was surprised at the difference, but after fitting i went for a test drive on some A/ B roads, yes initial acceleration does feel slightly perkier but nothing my lightweight flywheel doesnt do already, I feel like iv lost some top end pull as i cant feel the pull higher up speeds but the biggest thing i notices was slowing down or decelerating eg for a roundabout, going down the gears feel like it doesnt aid at all in my braking, its almost like there is no engine breaking and i have to rely fully on the brakes, or maybe im driving faster but instead of starting my braking after the last sign of 3-2-1 i have to start slowing down at 2... Does anyone else notice this? or maybe lightweight flywheel and pulleys are bad combo? Anyway this is my initial thoughts, maybe i just have to adjust my driving style, as i tend to use super late braking into turns, but even the pull from 0-60 feels weaker, i cant feel it anymore, maybe theres less weight transfer so that actual punch factor is lower.. i dont know, just feels wrong somehow its like i cant feel the weight of my car through my butt hard to explain... =(
  21. so they go through all that effort to take them and they just burn them out in there own respective countries...wow...just wow lol
  22. Sigh of relief?! I could book a few nights in amsterdam from the savings lol thanks for the info!
  23. How much is road tax for a zed? Iv been out of UK for too long before it used to be decided upon how much cc your packing... but im reading up and because My car was registered 2005 and my c02 is 282/gkm iv to pay 490pounds for a year? Is this correct? If thats the case they better start filling those bloody potholes down the road!
  24. Woah think im going to start asking questions wether the pilots are trainees or not at the boarding gate!
  25. Me!! LOL First car was a civic and been jap cars ever since!
