Welcome along. You will love the zed.
I am based in Hull, there are a few others on the forum which are from Yorkshire area

Ladies do seem to like it.
I recently got chatting to a lady who tried to talk her Mr out of his stunning Caymen and into my 350. I was half tempted to suggest a swap, but she was too tall...
Haha.

I have had a few reactions both the jealous type and wow nice car type. There was a blonde shouting at her boyfriend saying why don't you get one of those (imagine she was high maintenance).
I did see a guy in a black coupe who didn't say anything, don't think he was too bothered what he was driving. It is nice that the gtr owners seem to give you a cheeky wave and a flash of the headlights.
-
Is there any updates on this?
-
I will be purchasing this from the states as I don't need all the parts that are supplied with tuner kit. So I can purchase the individual kits within the tuner kit. Otherwise I agree that this is a good deal.

Welcome along. Look forward to the pictures

Can you not just have the lamps converted / rotated? I am unsure on this also. Would be interested if there was a way.
-
I still think this video is hilarious. He put so much effort into it.
-
Haha no worries, no harm done. It doesn't scare me really. I love the car so money is no object really. You can't take it with you and you only live once, so you might as well enjoy it while you can.

I have taken some sound advice from various people to help me along, so hopefully if I end up on the beaten track they will put me straight.
This forum is full of forced induction wizards who have done this to their zeds and I am pretty sure that they would assist a fellow zed owner, for a fee of some beer tokens and a pizza

Indeed

I would agree that it should cost South of 10k without doing any big brake modifications and engine rebuilds
-
I am the same as me and the partner have a Cineworld unlimited card. So we often go see stuff just for the sake of it.
-
Be interested too see this sometime, I'm just up the road at Driffield
I haven't seen anything of you since I saw you in Tesco carpark haha.
-
Thank you

Sounds good to me. I think it should be a worth while venture. Hopefully will get to see it next year if you go to the wales meet.
-
A good old long list I hope your pockets are deep but it will all be worth it. What about brakes, with all that power standards may not be up for the job.
I have the Brembo Setup. So these should be capable, for now.

Those SPL bushes seem to be full metal bushes. Do these not give a harsh ride?

Well I have decided that it is officially time to update my build thread. I have spent a little over a year in assessing and purchasing components to put into the long list of parts which are required to allow the 350Z to go FI.
When I joined this forum over 2 years ago, I didn't have the intention to modify the zed, however after a number of months trolling around the forum I started to catch 'Zeditus'. I started working through different ways I would want to modify the zed "do I want a show car" or "do I want outright perfomance". Finally after reading some other build threads I came to the decision I wanted to go FI. I began looking into both TT and SC setups and made the decision to go down the SC route.
I then posted on the forum to get some advice on going FI, which I can only say I received some sound advice from some of the forums FI gurus.
From this point on I will try to keep the build thread as clear and informative as possible, not to add any confusion to what is going on.

This obviously doesn't help matters. I have had the same problem and had them replaced with OEM bushes and it has cured the knocking sound.
-
If I was a gambling man, I would put bets on that it is the compression arm bush, this is a common fault on the 350z, it takes a lot of pressure and once the bush starts to walk you get the knocking sound. You can get uprated bushes which are little bit more costly but will be better long term.
If you could remove the arms yourself and remove the bush and let your mechanic press it in, this would save you a little cash.
-
Each arm is about £250, not sure what the cost is for the transverse arm. It should only take around 1.5 hours to change out bushes.
-
I will make a order for a few bits at the end of this month.
Shocked at peoples reactions
