That's an emergency stop to me mate not really every day braking if the car has sat for a while possible that the pad is tight in calliper im going to say this again don't let your z bite you in the ass take it easy and get to know the car.
  8. Sounds like your heavy footed on throttle and brake pedals you can set the change light with the buttons on the right of the dash binnacle . My advice is learn more about the car and how it drives before you go mental
  9. Standard air box should be quiet possibly a small air leak. Check the pipe thats fitted to the air flow meter .
  10. Do you know if the nissan air box is still there or after market induction kit .
  11. Sounds like the spigot bush could be worn you will only hear this when clutch pedal is dipped when the clutch is up the spigot is redundant .few other z owners reported squeaky belts over the winter worth having a look.
  12. I'm defo going to be late then am that daft I would have ended up at banzai crail.

  14. The deal between you and him private but I must say that body work is atrocious
  15. you set it to whatever revs you like say 4000 it cuts off the spark petrol explodes in the exhaust manifold flames come out the exhaust.
  16. My personal opinion is I wouldn't even dream of fitting on of them . It is safer with solid cam buckets.eny body fitting on a car with hydraulic cam buckets is taking the risk of bending the valves .the explosion of petrol in the exhaust manifold can open the valves when they are meant to be closed hydraulic bucket takes up the gap then you have contact with the piston on the next compression stroke.
  17. I think you've missed out quite an important T
  18. Could it be a broken spring is the car still level at the rear.
  19. That was the way to do it when the mot was hand written now its computerised the new failure is registered so old pass is cancelled.
  20. What you've just said brings back vague memories of Zmanalex supplying a BCM to someone with a similar problem.
