  1. Wow, she's a real beauty, sorry to hear you're selling and also the reason. Good luck in the hunt and with the sale.
  2. I had to fiddle with my suspension setup for ages to get it spot on at BH. I think my 2nd and 3rd sectors at BH are done, there's no more, possibly .5s in the first sector. Going to switch to Silverstone for today's session
  3. From a consumer POV anything that helps get genuine, relevant results now in the myriad of sites is great. I hate it when you get a result which takes you to a page of links or a rubbish search tool or an article which has 8 lines of text per page but forces you to click through 18 pages to get to the end. From a small business POV it'll be a right royal PITA. I blame SEO, it'd be a redundant service if sites could be properly indexed/searched but that would mean the entire web would need to honest about what it's up to. Unlikely. Good luck sorting it out, can't be easy going up against the search monopoly. I can't remember when I used a search engine other than google, I think it was the 90s and I was after some Eclipse jeans
  4. To finish the session with some power I took my GT-R NISMO GT3 (BH 1:26.613) out and also my 350z (BH 1:24.764). The GT-R is a bit of pig after the 50 laps in the 111R
  5. Not sure, maybe through FB? On the licence tests I see my friends' PB
  6. Well it was 2 tenths... BH 1:31.798 I had 9 tenths off that at sector 2, ended badly though
  7. Brands Hatch 1:32.661 That's it, there isn't anything else in there, there's no more road, there's no more grip, I've had a few whiskies to loosen up, it's even got a BGW. If I took my purple sectors from a ten lap session and added them together I think there's maybe 0.25s I could take out of mine, gonna have a big dump now and see if that helps reduce weight. Anyone else's ghost keep blocking them???
  8. That silverstone time with no aids is insane!
  9. PS3 pad, analogue, my wheel is stuck on top of my wardrobe and I have nowhere to set it up right now - grrrrrrr.
  10. Challenge 1 - British Cars, Max PP450, Max Sports Soft tyres. Brands Hatch GP Kyler - 1:36.331 Dannyg - 1:35.683 Ozwald - 1:33.568 SuperStu - 1:34:311 Longsh07 - Silverstone GP KyleR - 2:21.126 Danng - 2:20.504 Ozwald - 2:18.788 SuperStu - 2:17.366 Longsh07 - Goodwood KyleR - 0:52.293 Dannyg - Ozwald - 0:51.717 SuperStu - 0:51.662 Longsh07 - Lets Race 111R with customisable suspension, transmission and LSD. PP450. Just seen the post about good aids, agree totally but I'm powering down for a while to take on fuel I posted these with TC 1, ABS 1 and driving line. I'll refresh later with just ABS (I can't live without that!). I had no idea Brands Hatch was such a tricky circuit, think I had about 3 valid laps out of 10
  11. Any rules on driver aids? Just getting my sightseers in now. Edit: I meant sighters, but judging by my first few laps they were sightseers! This 111R is a handful at times
  12. Yeah just once, I was expecting even a slight difference. Where exactly where you concentrating the grease? I used the spray white lithium and sprayed everything down there, the spring, the bits at both ends, some of the footwell and god only knows what else. I think it's what they call a 'liberal' application. It took a few goes, and I do it every now again still now, whenever I remember.
  13. I don't get combining practice (band or otherwise) and getting pi**ed. The two things don't meet up in my head. Off down the driving range/to play footy/go the gym/band practice, must get a 6-pack? Er no. £10 for fuel wouldn't hurt, but I suspect it's the attitude not the time/cash that's pissing you off. If you speak to your mates genuinely, genuine mates will listen. Either take the session seriously, or go out on a serious session!
  14. Have you greased it just the once? Mine took one greasing a week for, I think, three weeks before it stopped completely.
  15. Please can I play? Reed_Rockhard I'll post some times this afternoon.
  16. It looks like a Private Hire, as it appears to have a badge, so probably stopped to let folk out, or pick up. It's 8pm on a Sunday night, so nothing too unusual. Giving room to a taxi loading/unloading passengers of an evening, in a street free of moving traffic, having previously checked for the absence of buses, seems pretty reasonable to me.... ... but I'm of the school of thought that rules are more like guidelines, which can be superseded if common sense suggests another approach is more appropriate. I doubt the ticket robots feel the same way.
  17. I'm confused. Where are you supposed to be if the cars are parked in the car lane? Is it just the red bit you're not allowed in? Always worth an appeal if it doesn't come with an increased penalty risk. Something about "leaving room for parked car doors to open combined with it gives you more angle/space to see pedestrians in between parked vehicles"? Sounds a bit weak when I write it down. Is that parked car even in a legit space? Looks like it's snuck on the end of the spaces "forcing" you into the red. It's well this side of the bin.
  18. I'd not considered it like that, pure inexperience on my part, makes sense. I guess those old Jaaaag drivers are spent after two hot laps.
  19. The one and only one I have done was taster/introduction. I found the enforced control of a limited session time with only a few cars on track at once, plus having to come off/relax/have a coffe/watch others, before being allowed out again was good for me and undoubtedly gives the car a break too. I'd have been lost on a open day as to how long I'd been out, temps, etcetera, as it's just so damn exciting and you can get a bit of tunnel vision
  20. Get the Black Hole from here and the SN from Envy Valeting on here with a members discount (Tim might even sell BH too, but I'm not sure - although I personally think Natty's gives a slightly wetter finish, personally. Do a full wash, decontamination (fallout, tar remover & clay) and spend some time polishing it - level of correction requires would determine what polish. I'd also suggest using both Black Hole a Lime Prime Lite is unnecessary - one or the other really as neither has any cut and both contain cleaners so the first will just be removed by the second anyway. Isn't lime prime lite a cleaner and black hole a glaze? So the black hole goes on after to hide your blemishes? Not saying I'm right, just asking.
  21. I know sponge is a dirty word around these parts, but the Dodo products seem quite well regarded and I spotted this when I was having a nose around. Anyone had a crack with one? How's it compare to proper clay? http://www.cleanyour.../prod_1281.html
  22. Interesting you say the black hole, I'm using white diamond because I was worried the BH might be a bit too dark. WD gives me a nice look, I'm assuming you're pleased with your BH results? Might give it a try next time. I've used both whilst very subtle I found that black hole gives better colour depth on Gm Sounds good, thanks!

  24. I want to be Bond, specifically Sean Connery Bond, offing baddies, driving fast cars, shooting guns, wielding gadgets, meeting dangerous beautiful dames, international travel, speaking multiple foreign languages, scuba diving, winning in casinos. Or I'd take being a hard-boiled noire Private Detective like Marlowe or Sam Spade. Wearing a cool suit and hat everyday, getting in to scrapes, fast talking dialogue with the baddies, irritating the bulls, shooting guns, being tough, solving crimes, meeting dangerous beautiful dames.
  25. I had exactly the same fears before doing my first one late last year, via a mate in a Jaaaag Owner's Club, up north at Croft. I was bricking it about me cleaning up someone's E Type or some banana cleaning me up. Absolutely loved it in the end, I'm already thinking about more for this year and a track toy if I can find a lock up. Got to see a load of quality Jaaags, couple of Porkers and destroyed an Aston too Do it do it do it do it do it! Here's a link that was full of good advice when I was looking, also one from just after my first track day. http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/76785-advicepreparation-for-first-track-day/ http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/77044-my-first-track-day-croft/ PS - it might not be cool and hard, but I felt so much better knowing I'd taken out some insurance cover which would have paid out if the worst happened.
