  1. Anyone else seen an I8 (that new BMW) yet?
  2. Literally everywhere. There seems to me loads in Dorset and hants, but I see them on the motorway and literally anywhere. If I remember il count how many I see in the way home tomorrow. Bear in mind I do a fair few miles, about a thousdand a week on average all over the place. Admittedly I can't remember seeing any since I arrived in Europe on Monday but that's nothing off really. Seen two ferraris California's a lambo mercelago and a tesla today.
  3. I see hundreds of them, on a daily basis it's not uncommon to run out of fingers. I only ever bother to report sightings of enthusiast looking owned cars like the one in the que on Monday for the channel tunnel.
  4. Unfortunately I was driving and he boarded the train before me. I was in my van, so sadly not a multi generational z encounter.
  5. Blue body black roof wide arched body kitted 350z getting on the euro tunnel at about 9am this morning.
  6. Funki so did virtually all of it TBF so I can't take any credit. Glad it was taken the right way cheers guys.
  7. Hi guys thankyou very much today for your support. Some good solid numbers. I would like however to appologise to anyone from this club who left out. I say this because. Sadly despite the efforts of a kind member of 300zx.co.uk who printed out those bits of paper with zclub written on them the stewards seperated out the new shape, z33/34 cars away from the rest, guiding them to a seperate plot. This was accident not something we encouraged or created. These things happen. Once again thankyou for attendance, here's to the next z chassis meet.
  8. They probably buy it from the same place their wife got the powered by fairy dust sticker.
  9. Sorry guys I dunno how I missed you all out, full address here; Sizer Way Dibden Southampton Hampshire SO45 5JA England 9 am please, that will give us time to collect the late comers. Before setting off in convoy for around 10 minutes to reach the final way point.
  10. Entry is from half 9 so the current plan is to meet at the Applemore tescos for 9am, it's about five minutes away through the forest.
  11. Saw two 350z's earlier, both in the Bmth area. I wouldn't normal put up a spotted because I'd be posting half a dozen a day with the miles I do. Black one about half four, near charminster iirc which had a 350z-uk sticker. An azure blue body kitted cabriolet about 5pm on turbury park avenue. I was out in my z32 so you probably spotted me rather than when I'm in my secret squirrel caddy van.
  12. NM there will be more meets, hopefully you can make the next one.
  13. As per the initial post it's £10 for adults and £5 for children, this gives to access to all attractions on site, I will check that. This only applies if your arriving in Japanese vechile though, otherwise you will be arriving as a spectator only and be paying full entry to the site which is £18 for an adult or for a family 2 adults 2 kids £47 odd quid, so quite a saving on entrance fees.
  14. We will be sorting things out between us both I believe mate, I'm already here on and anyways I will make sure to keep the information current between Zclub, 300zx.co.uk and 350uk so don't worry. They do normally state that you should arrive together, last year we had a fantastic convoy in from the applemore tescos, you can see some pics of that in the initial post by Si. However a few latecomers easily made their way to us, we had by far the largest single marque group! I believe so has already spoken about something a little more concrete around our stand. Any issues give either of us a shout and we can fill you in.
  15. Just to jog some memories and will be starting to push, this little gem In the calendar is fast approaching, sneaking up us. Let start getting some proper numbers. Last year had a damn good turn out. Plenty of late spec zeds such as the 350, so let's get this show going. I think we covered every z chassis from the original to present day with no gaps, that's a real achievement. There really isn't anything quite like 30-40 different zeds rumbling through the forest in convoy.
  16. I have a 2+2 300zx you can fit a fair amount in them, I have been known to take it to B&Q to bring back wood, I can get a full length in the zed. My caddy, yes a van can't take a full length of wood and requires it to be cut down... Rubbish. I've just brought a roof rack for the van though so problem solved.
  17. Each region can set their own limits and fines. Why oh why I have no idea, the corse is now £150 in Dorset.
  18. Female, less than half tidy, attended japfest and knows nothing about cars. Odds on she was one of the promo trolls, I mean girls.
  19. I'd be surprised if those m cars are lighter? Is it not an indication of the weight distribution or power to weight being off.
  20. We've all done it, I've been caught a few years back. Undercover BMW parked behind a bush, booked me doing 40 entering a 30, I was decelerating at the time, just cosseting in the gears you know. I saw it and by the time I thought that's an undercover... It was too late. They asked me how fast I was going I said I was decelerating, to which they replied the standard issue do you know what the limit is etc. Things changed when they said you were doing forty, what do you think if that it words to that effect, to which I replied. I'm in the wrong, if you say I was doing 40 I was doing 40. The mood changed and they turned out ok, gave me one of those education corses as Dorset has some silly no excuses programme, and I was off on my way. I have had some stupid experiences in past though it has to be said with some jobs worths, they are out there like in any job. My old neighbour was a traffic cop, he told me there's a attitude test. Fail it and they will make life difficult. So I always stick to that, they're only people doing their job at the end of the day. The way I look at it, because I still speed. If I didn't have fun still I'd buy an estate. However if I get booked I wasn't paying enough attention, or I was doing it at the wrong time/place... Yellow boxes and neon painted vans are pretty obvious let's be fair. Just gotta take it in the chin like a man.
  21. The way things are ATM, you either have money or you don't. Very few people are willing to part with 30k that arn't willing to part with 40 or 50k. There seems to be a big gap at present between those that can afford to live and those can afford to spend, particularly amongst young people. What I'm saying is if you can afford to blow 30k on a sports cars odds on you can afford to spend more, so you likely will on something that appeals to you more.
  22. Also, as the price continues to plummet on these cars making them more chav affordable, this kind of this will become more common, sadly. As will bad mods, poor maintaince and all the other fun that comes with it. Glad to hear the club is so organised with its stance on road behaviour.
  23. Sorry to hear you experienced some bad road manors, I do about 50k miles a years and see some crazy crazy stuff, I regularly get abuse from those in the wrong. Just to clarify though, "undertaking" isn't illegal by its definition. Ie it's not a law itself, it was omitted from the Highway Code. You could be charged for dangerous or careless driving however for performing an unsafe undertake, if you get my drift. This is because if your on the motorway and the middle lane is full of idiots, progressing down the inside to your junction would be illegal. The law recognises they shouldn't be in the middle lane and that it is their responsibility to check their mirror before changing lane. This doesn't mean you can zip down the inside of a car in lane 3 doing 70 because you want to do 80. It does mean you could make a safe manoeuvre down the inside if they were doing say 60 etc and refused to give way to the traffic, ie they themselves were driving without due care and attention. Tbh though depending on plod, he might still book you because he's bored and he doesn't like your sports car, any excuse with some of them hey. It's one of those grey areas that's down to interpretation, but technically the old undertaking is illegal is a nonsense.
