  1. So it's time, time start preparing for The Southern joint meet between 300zxclub, Zclub and 350uk. Hosted in the heart of the new forest at Beaulieu National Motor Museum, simply Japanese invites Japanese cars from all over to attend and have access to its grounds and museum for a reduced price. So please join us on the 31st of July 2016 between 10am and 6pm, at this family friendly event which goes from strength to strength each year. You will find the official webpage here; https://www.beaulieu.co.uk/events/simply-japanese/ Ticket prices if you come in a Japanese car are as follows; Adults £10 Children £5
  2. Just starting the assemble this. Il start a new thread to keep things tidy. Sorry for the delay.
  3. What's the Paisley quote for shipping? If you still have them at the end of the month id be interested in discussing them with you.
  4. Just a small note/reminder to add. When you arrive you will be given a piece of paper, this is for the people's choice award. This is what's used to pick the car of the show, well top ten as well. Please make sure you fill this in and vote for your favourite (Z of corse) car at the event. Previous years have seen us have upto 3 cars in the top ten so let's try and get a winner this year!
  5. You can also follow these two threads; http://zclub.net/forum/showthread.php?t=25595&page=2 And http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?181445-Simply-Japanese There is a convoy coming from the London direction of Z32 which you may see/join. If you need details of that il point you in the right direction. Any further questions please don't hesitate to ask.
  6. I need to update the lists. But here's the important bits. Just to give everyone the latest as time is quickly disappearing. Some of this will be a repeat but I'm consolidating for all three clubs. Payments can be made either here; https://www.beaulieushop.co.uk/Shop/...tegoryCode=076 Payments must be finalised this way before 5pm on the 31st of July. Alternatively payment in cash on the gate, try to bring the correct cash in this case to make life easier and faster. Adults £10 each Children £5 each Arrival has a few options as well. Either you can join the traditional convoy which will be meeting at 8am in mind to leave at 8.30-9.45. This is a public car park that we have used for the past few years for this process, before the supermarket opens so please be sensible and respectful, we don't wish to cause the loss of this. The address is as follows; Tesco Applemore Sizer Way Dibden Southampton Hampshire SO45 5JA The site(Beaulieu) offers the ability to park in the public car park before the event starts. If you don't wish to partake in the convoy. Or you can simply turn up, this does include a risk you may not end up parked with the club. Lastly to avoid confusion, can I request that everyone prints out a piece of A4 paper with "Z Club" written on half of it. I appreciate that not everyone is a Zclub member but this is to avoid last years segregation problem. This is then to be folded in half leaving an A5 sheet to display in the windscreen/sun visor. I will have one or two spare. We are looking at about 40 zed cars so your help is greatly appreciated. Lastly the address and directions for the event is here; http://m.beaulieu.co.uk/getting-here
  7. You have two choices. To pay in advance through the beaulieu website before 5pm on July 31st. Alternatively you can pay on the gate. Price for adults is £10 and £5 for children. Link for tickets can be found from here; http://m.beaulieu.co.uk/beaulieu-events/simply-japanese
  8. Sad to see some last minute drop outs, however we often get last minute interest too. Anyway. Entrance is slightly earlier than last year at 9am. If you wish to travel the last few miles in convoy like previous years. The rally point is as follows, please be there at 8 with the intention to be leaving around half past to quarter too. Tesco Applemore Sizer Way Dibden Southampton Hampshire SO45 5JA Look forward to seeing you all there.

  12. Hi guys, It's coming towards that time of year again when I'm asking for names for Simply Japanese held at Beaulieu the national motor museum in Hampshire. Ticket prices are a very fair £10 each for those attending in a Japanese car, this is significantly cheaper than regular prices and includes access to the museum, grounds, abbey etc etc. Is a casual event which we are now into our forth year of. Held across Zclub,300zx.co.uk & 350uk turnout of all Zeds has yet to disappoint and we have had at least one of every major chassis more than once. Tickets are available on the gate for those who are unsure if they will be free or weather dictates. Being a tourist site the venue is extremely family friend so bring the family along and make a day of it. I'm not asking for any money, or concrete attendance confirmation just a registration of your interest to attend so the appropriate space can be reserved for us. Details may be a touch slow over the coming weeks as I've got some other commitments at present. Link for the event below. http://m.beaulieu.co.uk/beaulieu-events/simply-japanese Thanks. Stephen.
  13. I do have a theory. I'm basing this around the times and locations I seem to see the most of them, which happens to be near large towns and smaller cities, the outskirts of London etc rather than in the busy parts. I also seem to see an large proportion of them in peak hours 8-9 5-6. So this leads me to the conclusion that they are driven mostly to and from work for people that live and work quite close together. It doesn't appear to be a popular commuter car. In big cities there's a higher number of top end sports cars most of those kind of people own more than one car. Basically what I'm saying is the demographic of owners that own zeds arnt commuters or city workers they are average salary earning 9-5 type people. It's obviously a massive generalisation and is based completely on assumption but I think that it's a fairly valid idea.
  14. Only saw two today, well technically one 350 a silver one on the m3 I also saw a black 370 on the m25. You buy me a go pro will and il crack on lol, can't photograph them on my iPhone while driving now can I lol.
  15. You say that but alot of those cars are far closer to you than me. As delboy says there are lots in Dorset, i was almost getting disappointed that I hadn't seen one (I knew I would) then there she was. I'm going into bournemouth this morning last time I was there, there were three in the same street parked up, that was unusual still happened though.
  16. Ok then didn't run out of fingers, nearly lost one tidy but that's a seperate subject. I saw a total of 8 today. Orange m27 heading towards Portsmouth at 7.30 Silver m27 Chichester 7.45 Silver import Belmount surrey 10.50 Silver tolwens(can't read my writing was in Surrey again) in a football club type place with a black z34 17.45 Silver 02 (private plate?) plate import heading southbound m3 near the m25 guy had an impressive beard 18.18 Gunmetal 07 plate heading south on the m3 near Winchester 18.54 Silver ferndown Dorset 7.30 I'm sure I probably passed more I didn't spot due to daydreaming, paying attention to the road and my inability to see through walls lol. Pretty average haul though
  17. When was the last time any of you guys saw a s30 fairladyZ in the wild so to speak. I've only seen 1 outside of shows etc.
  18. 370s are a fair bit rarer, they haven't sold that many in comparison as far as I was aware. I see them but probably only a few a month. By far the most common Nissan sports car I see about is the r35 and s14. I see a surprising amount of supras about, which I would say arnt common really. There does seem to be a disproportionate amount z33s in Dorset and hants. I'm actually quite looking forward to going back to work to start counting hahaha
  19. "I see hundreds of them, (note the comma lol) on a daily basis it's not uncommon to run out of fingers"(contrary to popular belief I only have 10 fingers) I didn't go anywhere yesterday, I won't see many on the way from the lounge to the bathroom will I give us a chance ey. Don't worry il find done for you. There are plenty if them out there. Had a dig about only 7500 on the road apparently which surprised me I would have thought more based on how frequently I see them.
  20. It won't be hundreds over the weekend no lol, on average it's a handful a day, some days a dozen or so. But yeah I will let you know lol, Sod's law says they will all disappear now I'm consciously counting.
  21. I must admitt I saw one, just one, on the a12 I believe it was, grey/silver colour. TBF though it was pitch black as I drove home in the middle if the night as I caught an earlier ferry so not much of an experiment. I didnt really see many cars lol, I was on my own on the m3 for a good while. I will keep my eyes peeled, I'm off work for the next 4 days though! Woop
  22. Yes I definatly know what they look like lol, I thought about buying one at one stage but decided against it. Not to mention the ones I encounter through meets with the zclub etc. I'm guessing your just not as observant as myself, a lot of them are silver it seems. Maybe there just arnt many in London for some reason it is a seperate country within the uk after all, it's a weird place. As I say il try to remember to count on the way home tomorrow, it's a 3.5 hour drive on the uk side so should be plenty of oppertunity to see some.
  23. The general public are idoits. You probably shouldn't of done it's a bit chavy and annoying if nothing else, but hell we have all done it. I remember spinning out in my Capri at your age drifting a round about in rush hour, no harm done but I deserbed the rant the older chap gave me who saw it unfold. When your young you do silly things. When your old you get unnecessarily grumpy and intolerant.
  24. I wouldn't worry about it, statistics say whatever is profitable for them to say. From a country that makes the viper rt which wants to kill you for looking at it funny they cone up with that. A friend of mine crashed his 350 after hitting black ice at motorway speeds, rolled it a few times and got without a mark, car was a write off though obv. Give those same owners a corsa and they would still kill themselves. Guns don't kill people, people do.
